I love how desi sr. resembles so much like his son, desi jr. portrayed later on in Here's Lucy. Both kids resemble so much as their father than the mother. Lucy must have truly loved Desi even after the breakup
@zacefronswife100 Well, proportionally there should only be a slight difference in cost. It's just inflation over time. A dollar back in the 50's would be about 10 dollars today, so it cost a quarter to take the subway back then (which would be $2.50 today) and that sounds about right. Let's say we make $2000 every month, that would be $200 back then. It's not everything got cheaper, it's the dollar that is losing value.
@adrianlindsaylohan Yes thats about right, Its like looking for the cheepest gas price, if you have to go out the way youre not saving much. If i set down im not getting up for a penny.
I truly love "I Love Lucy Show" with all 4 of them. The later shows "The Lucy Show" & the like were good, but really not hit the ball park as I love Lucy. I cannot believe that in reality they all did not get along. All 4 were perfect on-screen.
@phalgunidave99 Everyone got along fine except Vivian and William. Lucy and Vivian were great friends, and her and Ricky were obviously in love, even after the divorce.
if anyone has anyone seen the episode "TheBlack wig" you will notice that this diner is also used for the italian restaurant scene at the end of that episode
U just got earned Ethel and fred

If hamburgers costed 15 cents today we wouldn't hardley spend money for it. Parking costed 50 cents & haircuts costed 25 cents & magazines 10 cents

.15 cents for a hamburger? wouldnt it be nice if that were the same price for burgers now-a-days?
marter2006 1 year ago 48
@marter2006 I bet you wouldn't want to receive the same salaries as well. Hamburguers were more expensive back then
JapaneseModernist 3 months ago
@marter2006 .15 back then is equal to almost $2 today so you can at McDonald's :)
Bee06 1 month ago
@marter2006 I dunno man but you can get a McDouble at McDonald's or a Volcano burrito at Taco Bell for .99. That's like .11 in 1950s dollars.
