  • After the OS reinstall (almost 4 years ago) the computer was working fine /it was used daily/ until yesterday and I was very happy with it /both stability and performance/.

Now the issue is a different one: it powers on, the fan starts and a few seconds later the laptop powers off.

Any clue what could be causing such a problem?

  • press (hold) "Ctrl"+"Alt"+"Delete", task manager,file,run, type in "explorer.exe"

    than enter

  • yo could of loaded in safe mode and scanned for viruses if u had some

  • It's a software problem use safe to fix

  • poczekaj

  • Unplug it, take the battery out, and hold the power button 10-30 seconds. Worked on two of my comps when they wouldn't run right.

  • waw pc portable vrimo joli

  • Could have pressed ctrl + alt + del, launched the task manager, hit file run explorer.exe and the start menu should have appeared

  • I know it's fine now, but for people with the same sort of problem, you can download or get a free Linux (Ubuntu) Live cd , so you can backup your important files to a Portable hard disk, and then you can reinstall Windows or Linux.

  • I was wondering, since that it is all better now, How do you like the laptop? Is the trackpad/keyboard good? Is it fast? Would you recommend I buy one? Thank you for any help!

  • I have reinstalled the OS and all is fine now!!!

  • great hope it doesnt do that ever again..

  • That happened to my sony viao laptop, I was running vista on it, I hated to do it but I used the system recovery disk. If you don't have one, best buy will make one for you, for $50.00

  • Maybe is a pirated shit windows xp

  • how about you give it to me?

  • Have you tried reinstalling the OS? This looks more like an OS related problem than a hardware problem.

  • yes it is.. if it was a hardware falure then windows will give a BSOD error...

  • Definitely has nothing to do with the Laptop. Dude! Either get a better pirated Windows or install Linux or Hackintosh (*cough*kalyway*cough*) on your laptop and enjoy an working system.

  • lol... u cant get any wireless internet haha
