  • Personally, I think that wearing the red string is a personal choice. I study Kabbalah that teaches against such things as "amulet wearing" and the like. But one cannot deny the psychological help that it can provide for people who need comfort, and who wish to remember Rachel's story. She was an amazing woman who *does* deserve to be remembered after all.

    God Bless to all- Peace

  • thank you. A lot of focus is put on the red string on musicians and actors, specifically, Michael Jackson and that he was involved with the "Illuminati" and that to wear a red string on your wrist is to worship Lucifer. I know at one time Michael had Rabbi Schmulley as a spiritual advisor so maybe this is where his red string on his wrist came about? Any idea?

  • @KJOrozco KJ, the Red String is not connected with any secret organizations suh as Illuminati or is it connected with Devil Worship. For the practice of Red String originated from the Jewish people, to commemorate the love and the protection of Mother Rachel whom we revere as the Mother of the Jewish Nation, or the "Eternal Mother". That's why the Red String is wrapped around the Tomb of Rachel to receive a "S'gulah" (merit and protection) from her. Light and Blessings KJ!

  • Originated in China

Thats a different custom, coming from the story of lovers unknowingly being tied together by a red string around their wrists. They're similar customs, in a way, but they are different in origin.

  • very good

  • thank you
