e6 by black was a huge mistake, allowing white to close the center and go on with his kingside attack. White played the opening pretty sloppily since black was able to play the freeing move d5 so easily. if black exchanged on e4 instead of playing e6, he would have been at least equal if not better.

Black should've been launching his counterattack right from the get-go when white castled queenside, not waste time with those sloppy moves.
