  • What's with all the hate between these two schools...why not just hate on A&M and OU like it should be lol

  • remember when these teams used to be good at football? i miss that

  • @Hendrixking14 texas is good this year. idiot. maybe you havent noticed, but were undefeated..

  • This is why no one wants to play in the same conference as UT. Bullshit like this. Call the foul, then deny it by the refs... Obvious block in the back. Typical UT ref call. Just like UT vs Nebraska, made up bullshit to save Colt McCoy's sorry ass from losing the game in an embarrassing fashion. Fuck UT

  • @jpap967

LOL, that was funny. you mad about going to texas tech, the shittiest school in texas? what a joke you are. queer

  • @madhazzer You mad that I actually go to a real college unlike you and 99% of the rest of the degenerate UT fan base? Bet you are. Go sit on a horn and rotate you hook 'em dick bag.

  • @jpap967 tech one the game stop whining

  • Look at that block in the back. Flag thrown. No penalty called. Bullshit.

  • Tech still and always willl suck. We beat their ass all the time haha! Hook'em bitches!!

  • Man this was a Heartbreaker.......

  • Horns should've won this game ):

  • We should have won that game. Hook Em!

  • @shiffty1032231 Why? Because you "lost on the last play?" You do understand that to lose something, you first have to have been winning. YOU WERE WINNING FOR A WHOPPING MINUTE AND A HALF. We owned Texas for most o this game. Wreck em!

  • ashbyave this was a turning point in the game that let teas think they had a chance

  • why cant i do this in ncaa football 11....

  • I play with Texas Long horns in my NCAA 03 game.

  • god don't remind me of this game

  • He is so quick. He has the ability to change his running direction in an instant.

  • Man, if Colt would'nt have injured his shoulder, we would've had that game, we were up by two scores before the first quarter even finished. Oh well, hope Gilbert does good next year.

  • lol watch buckner murder that TT player at the 1 yard line...gotta love receivers that love to lay hits

  • @BrianOrakpo3 That is actually Aaron Williams the cornerback.... knocked his ass out

  • there were actually two questionable blocks on this return, however the second one was clearly an illegal block in the back. its ok though, the better team pulled through in this game

  • @ikewithac hahahahaha yeah ok, keep thinking that!

  • @ikewithac The block they circled on the screen was in the side, not straight from behind, and thus legal by the rulebook. Tech did pull it out, they were just a bit better than Texas that game and that's all that you have to be.

  • he is much faster than his 40! as is mccoy

  • Hoooooookem \m/

  • that guy at the end got BLASTED!!! lol

  • @JKM070

    JOKE-LABAMA SUCKS TO!

    HOOK'EM HORNS \m/

    TEXAS FIGHT!

  • @gunotbws5 joke-labama? good one bud

  • this better be sarcasm 'cause that was stupid

  • roll tide

  • haha you cant even talk

you guys took it up the asshole that game

    mccoy ate shit like always

  • @gunotbws5 LOL Joke-labama

  • this game made me so mad

holding on tech the entire game no question

  • no. 4 layed a great block there at the very end

  • I love watching the t-shirt fans fight.

  • I do, as well ... They really get mad to the point, that all you can do is laugh. If you put them all in a room together, nobody would say a word. LOL ... I wish YouTube would have been around, when I was a kid ... :)

  • They had one good player in Michael Crabtree, Graham Harrell to me shouldnt have even been considered for Heisman, every QB that played in Tech's system has done this and I don't see any of them in the NFL playing on sundays. Texas had plenty of star power so, saying the better team won is bullshit and everyone who says that knows that. However, I gave Tech their props for it. But what did it matter to them? Nothing. They got leveled by Ole Miss and was forgotten about at the end of the season.

  • All I have to say about this video and this game, as a Longhorn, is good night for tech. They didn't go through a gauntlet like we did, they had more drive for the win than we did, remember alot of #1 teams lost that year. And it happened because the teams that played them had the will to upset them. Now Texas Tech is not the better team.

  • He's in the Heisman chat now brotha. Go horns! Beat OU

  • @bigdsears > > Mark Ingram won the Heisman, for Bama ... He wouldn't in, too much chat ... Roll Tide Roll ... Beat Texas and bring it, as always to the SEC ... This is where it is at ... :) Thank you and have a nice day ...

  • We shall see my friend, I'd take Texas and Colt anyday over Bama

  • Well' sure you would ... I would do the same, if that was my school and team. Good luck, but Roll Tide Roll ...

  • @JKM070

I have to give Alabama props onthat game, but you have to admit Gilbert sort of embarrased their defense for a little while in the second half.

  • And you are so right. I hate McCoy got hurt. Bama came to play him, but it was not meant to be. I hope he is going to be alright. It was a great game and both teams are winners ...

  • Haha nah only one winner and it was a good game anyways

  • @teamjames1 Gilbert did pretty well, I'd say ,for his first "real" game. But he was scared to death - who wouldn't be in your first game with basically everything on your shoulders in front of thousands of fans and millions on tv. The poor guy was terrified.

  • as well as the fact that he was playing against high school defenses a year ago and was now playing against the best defense in college! he did amazing and he's sure to bring Texas at least 1 if not 2 more National Titles! Alabama fans have no room to talk, they know they got lucky. every other school should be shitting their pants right now because Gilberts only a Sophomore. Hook 'Em! \m/

  • i am really anxious to see them play this year with all these 4 and 5 star recruits coming in

there was a story that said a lot of the dt and de and lb recruits got together and chose a school together where they thought they could win a championship

i wonder if case mccoy is as good as colt

  • yea man hook em horns

  • Gilbert did alright. Remember 2 of his interceptions hit Texas players in the numbers. And he had a would-be TD pass dropped as well.

  • @teamjames1 gilbert 2 good passes about 25 other well defended passes including 4 ints. not embarassing

  • @silverblade43

Ok think about it. This was the first game he has played. Its the BCS Championship game. Talk about pressure? And he played against the number one team in college football as a freshman in his first game. PLUS the first 20 snaps he took were run plays so he wasnt even getting to throw the ball a whole lot. So if you consider all these things and what he did in that game, yea he embarrassed Alabama's defense.

  • @teamjames1 you are dumb. get over the loss. He turned the ball over 3 times in the final 2 minutes....not to mention that dumb shuttle pass yall ran...he accounted for 4 TURNOVERS! Alabama is not embarassed...they gave up 2 big plays...you gave up 37 points.GET. OVER. IT

  • @mdawwg17 "He turned the ball over 3 times in the final 2 minutes....not to mention that dumb shuttle pass yall ran"

It's called a shovel pass. It wasn't Gilbert's fault - DJ Monroe let the ball bounce off his chest and then his hands. The fumble was a blindside hit - not on the QB. The final int went right thought Goodwin's hands. UT dropped 8 passes that game including 1 TD pass and 2 for INTs. Gilbert didn't play well (the other 2 INTs were totally on him), but the loss isn't on him.

  • @Statalyzer no, the loss is on Alabama, a superior team to Texas. Face it, Alabama won the game due to better talent all around, offense and defense...hello, Gilbert is your QB the leader of your offense on the field. want to win more games? score more points. You can say the loss isnt on gilbert, and that may be so, but your defense certainly had an issue keeping Alabama out of the endzone (granted we took the foot off the gas for a bit...) yall got whooped face it

  • @mdawwg17 I'm just saying it's too easy to blame QBs for everything. The loss was on the whole team. And yes, Alabama deserves credit - flukey injuries happen and you can't take away from the winning team because of them. At the end of the day, if you won then you deserved to win unless you won on a bad call, which Alabama certainly did not. The idea that they took the foot off the gas and just let Texas catch up is ludicrous though.

  • @Statalyzer how did Alabama not let up? 24-6 lead in the 3rd quarter? went conservative and ran it up the middle all night

  • @mdawwg17 Running the ball over and over is how Alabama ran up the big lead in the first place! Continuing to run the stuff that is scoring for them (and what UT was mostly unable to stop in the first half) is hardly conservative. The idea that passing is risky but bold and running is safe but conservative is way too simplistic. In the first half, the Tide had no success passing (more sacks than complete pass) and tons of success running, so in the 2nd half, they kept running.

  • @mdawwg17 ...That's pretty much the only offense they run.

  • @teamjames1 how? he found his stride....not really embarassing if you ask me considering he committed 3 turnovers in the span of 3 minutes leading to 14 points...if anything, Ingram and Richardson embarassed Texas's vaunted rush D, running for over 200 yards.

  • I noticed every one is argueing? well for all ShuckeroosKies ONErOsKiieS mY bALLsKiIeS

  • Did you even go to UT? If so, then cool, I don't mind the trash talk. I am just sick and tired of the T-shirt fans that cheer for UT. Not because we don't have any or our share.

Anyways, we played UT a hell of a lot harder and closer than many thought we would.

Choked one away last night to UH but they are an upstart team and it seems that we always lose to them when they are an upstart team.

  • so basicly if they dont go to a school they cant cheer for them. i didnt got o ut cuz dorry i dont have that kind of money, i just went to a small school.

College football gets most of its money from reg fans not students and alumni. everyone trash talks if u dont like it then dont listen. hell u guys talk more shit then anyone in the country.... wait wait, i take that back OU talks more shit even if they lose.

  • PWND

  • hey bucky.. i saw tech get whipped.. is that what your talkin about?

  • hey shipley is a good player but he becomes a great player when the refs are on his side. If it wasnt for the referees, tu wouldnt seem as good as stats show. Idk how but mac brown and the tsips always catch extremely luck breaks with the officials

  • yea how did that work out for yall?

  • It is ridiculous that the flag was picked up...that is called block in the back ALL DAY LONG. Oh well...helped set up for a great ending to a great game.

  • Best comeback i've seen. Shame they didn't win.

  • how did that call not hold up? i hate both teams but damn that was a blatant block in the back, on a play that turned the game around and put texas back in it..

  • that wasnt a blatant block in the back, his head was on the wrong side of the tech players head. Blatant would be a player about to make a tackle but someone running up right behind him and almost snapping his spine.

  • he is SO fast

  • Poor TTU punter gets creamed 0:24

  • :24

  • listen to 00:20. someone huffed

  • yeah good call

  • 00:18 block in the back

  • no it wasnt stop making excuses

  • stop allowing TD's with 1 second left when you had an interception right to ya. Both teams can agree on that it's just damn fun to beat the shit out of A&m

  • im just going to keep quiet and let the tech fans enjoy the win. it was the first win against texas since like 2002 haha.

  • i'm not gonna argue with that I just like college football in general I like UT but I like Tech more and I love to hate Oklahoma and The Faggies

  • 00:03

  • If it weren't for that obvious clip, there's no way he would've made it.

I'm glad we rushed the field. I think you longhorns are just jealous that we know how to have a good time, instead of just sitting up in the stands, all prim and proper, like being in church or something.

  • Comment removed

  • Lol love to see the Tech fans stfu

  • is thisguy gunna get drafted?

  • hm..

i wonder who won that game...

  • cmon dont say that.... no one from tech is allowed to talk shit because of one game.... your university is a joke. you charge the field because success is not a very common thing for tech...

  • .....wow

  • win your bowl game too?

  • dude im an alabama fan..

    and no we didnt win..

but we would def beat Texas..

  • haha i like bama but JPW.. sorry bro

  • and you lost to Utah

  • Figures,Alabama fans really are dumb.

  • You are wrong wrong. Btw your starting qb next year is a good friend of mine we went to h.s together can you guess what state??????

  • well its hard to answer your question when we dont even have a definant starter.. but if your emplying Greg hes from texas.. Star jackson as A.J, are both from alabama... ive seen a.j. play in the 6A championship agaisnt briarwood.

  • That shipley is fast

  • anddddddd here you go again.

    what an idiot.

  • he plays D1 football and you talk shit on youtube...hmmm.

  • Wow, how does a Tech fan bitch over one call in a game where the raiders had so many other calls that went their way. Typical Tech season, one step forward and two huge steps back.

  • How does a shorthorn fan bitch when the Tech owns TU all day, then the refs give them the lead at the end, and they blow it anyway becase their defense is straight up trash (Harrell had 474 yards passing). The better team won, they just didn't win by as much as they should've.

  • haha you're delusional

  • haha, you're bitter and pathetic. Like I said, the better team won.

  • Actually no... haha not at all. Actually the better team just got done playing the number one team, the number three team, and the number five team in the country. Then they traveled to play at Tech...so no. I'd say they were a little tired haha, and yall still had to win on the last play...sucks man

  • A little tired? LMAO. So imaginary number's next to the team's names give Texas player's hangover's? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. And that "gauntlent" that supposedly weakened them included two frauds, Mizzou and OSU, who may have been good, but certainly weren't top ten teams.

  • were you really laughing your ass off?

You must have not ever played sports, even in high school. Cause if you did then you would realize that human beings (which college football players are, surprisingly) cannot get emotionally high for every single game, especially four weeks in a row.

And no, not the numbers halfwit, the caliber of the teams...thats the stupidest thing ive ever heard. Im lying, its not

  • You must be a real dumbfuck. No wonder you cheer for a school that accepts over 63% of its applicants. I already explained how "the caliber of the teams" was mediocre at best, nothing more than a product of hype. Mizzou and OSU were just decent teams, ALL BCS conference teams play decent teams week in week out you stupid fuck.

Have fun working for people like me the rest of your life. Superior beings are not often as nice to dipshits as I have been to you.

  • Actually it accepts less than 45%? i dont know where you got that number from haha...

hahaha well the AP didnt think they were mediocre. I guess it was just you. Whatever though, cause we won the fiesta bowl and yall lost to ole miss lol! how embarrassing..

  • oh nirvana, who got killed by Ole Miss in the bowl game? not Texas thats for sure.

  • dude...youre an idiot...

  • Tech may have been the better team that night, but let's not forget how badly they bombed the rest of their season. If the Raider team that had showed up against UT came to play against OU, Baylor and Ole Miss, then perhaps someone outside Lubbock might remember their season for something other than a 1-in-7-tries win against Texas followed by embarrassment by OU and Ole Miss. It's 2009 now.

  • @ashbyave it wasn't calls that went our way, it was blake gideon's inability to catch a ball that any first grader would've caught, and your defense's inability to stop crabtree even when he's double-teamed. if a referee throws a flag, he obviously saw something. we also saw it on the video. then shipley scores and they pick it up. it's just strange. by the way, y'all just had a pretty nice season yourselves.

  • @navid500 It's not that strange. It looked like a block in the back, they discussed it and (correctly) decided it was a block in the side. Blake is an easy scapegoat, but he had to dive to catch a tipped ball that was spinning cockeyed. Lots of guys drop that. The problem was all game long, not one play.

  • damn you Gideon!!!! lol jk shit happens.... how big of impact was it to lose Quan (your top reciever) and Orakpo (your top defensive player) in this game? little or lot?

  • I would say little. Obviously, you can't just replace Orakpo. He was a monster, but I'm sure Muschamp will solve the problem. And really, I don't think we'll miss Quan Cosby that much. With Malcolm Williams, Brandon Collins, and James Kirkendoll.(All Sophomores) They seem like they're adjusting well in Spring Practice. Not to mention we still have Jordan Shipley! The '09 Campaign has high expectations.

  • still cant believe we lost this game..

  • Techs one big name victory is quickly fading into the mists of time-UT is in a big bowl game and Tech arent. They completely blew their load emotionally and physically in this game and got destroyed by OU as a result. If these two teams played 10 times on a nuetral field Texas would win 7/8 times. Oh yeah and Colt and Shipley are back in 09 so Tech will get owned badly in Austin...... im sorry to steal this comment but i just couldnt have said it any better

  • @n9e9o9 well it was a nice comment until you said owned badly in Austin, just look how that turned out. headline read " horns survive ". i'm not a tech fan btw but yeah with ESPN being the major sports network with all their sportscenter crap. that win will go down in history and not fade because michael crabtrees touchdown will be on the top 10 of something.

  • @n9e9o9 well you can't win 7 out of 8 if you play 10 times.. other than that. nicely said

  • clear cut block in the back. it's funny that they actually picked the flag up. without this momentum swing, Tech would have rolled Texas.

  • yea like oklahoma rolled yall AT HOME. outside of lubbock tech sucks admit it. you beat the pants off of an overated kansas team and nearly lost at baylor. i cant wait until you all come to austin and get smacked in the face

  • wow thats impressive math. over my head i guess...

  • Do you mean 10/10 times? lol I totally agree -allpeeps4me- haha HOOK EM!

Oh yeah and Colt and Shipley are back in 09 so Tech will get owned badly in Austin.

  • Tech got away with 10+ holds in this game, so stop your bitching. They were the most penalized team in the Big 12 coming into this game, and yet didn't get one holding call called on them in this entire game. Fuck, Orakpo was held and got hurt.

  • Why is anybody complaining? Tech won.

  • becuz the score shouldn't have been that close.

  • Two clips ... I agree w/ predatorsniper ... you can miss a clip (but two? and obvious ones?) ... but to throw the flag, then pick it up? They should have to explain. Inadvertent flag? Changed my mind? Another ref had a better view? Had to do something to keep UT in the game? What?

  • I can understand if there was no call due to the ref simply missing it (which would be hard).....but to throw a flag and then pick it up after the TD? Is he saying he didn't see what he saw to throw the flag in the first place? Unreal.

  • There were two obvious, "how could you not call that" blocks in the back. Why would the ref throw the flag if he didn't see the block in the back? I'm not a conspirator by any means, but it was ridiculous that the ref picked the flag up. I wonder how much mack paid him for those 6 points? Real score 39-29 (i'll give Texas 3 for the sake of field position). Not as close when you exclude the ref's touchdown.

  • Block in the back

"There was a questionable block there, Brent."
