IMHO the best song on the MY LOVE IS YOUR LOVE ALBUM - and one of my overall favorites from the WH repertoire. The descending chord arrangement is always a winner, and with the accompanying horn section reminiscent of vintage Chicago (the band; think NO TELL LOVER), this is a very-well-put-together song. Yeah, as someone said earlier it fell under the radar - undeservedly so - still, live performances of it were always well-received, and there're some heartwarming vids right here on youtube.
I fell in this love with this song many years ago. Whitney sang it Live on Today show. I was asleep. I heard this. I jumped out of my bed and clapped. I bought it the next day.
