Went to the iSimple website and put in 2001 BMW 3-series. Result: "We're sorry, but the Gateway doesn't work with this vehicle. Please try one of our Universal Solutions."

What model # do you have?

I have an E46 330i and the only performance item I have is the Signature Motoring performance CAI for about $160. The performance kit adds around 13.5HP on the dyno, sounds freaking great, and installs in under 30 minutes. Highly recommended.

-13.5 HP increase

-Lifetime filter

-SOUND AWESOME

-30 min. install time

Aside from the power gain, the SOUND is amazing at higher RPM but sounds normal in regular driving. I’m thinking about added high-flow exhaust next.

I love my 328i. Only mod is a Signature Motoring performance intake kit. They run around $170 and add up to 9HP in the E46 323/325/328 and up to 13.9HP in the 330. That's about $17/per extra HP... A good value for the extra oomph. General HP increases are shown:

E30 series: 6.0-13.4hp gain

E36 series: 5.5-12hp gain

E46 series: 6.0-13.9hp gain

E92 series: 8.5+ hp gain

Z3/Z4 (all): 5.5-13.9hp gain

Just had my Dice uninstalled!!!! You lose audio quality when playing it through Dice. Campair it to audio out on iPhone: - huge difference

I installed mine this morning and it took me about 30 minutes and it was quite an easy install. It works great except for one MAJOR problem, maybe I'm not doing something right but every time I start the car I need to start a tune on the iPhone before the iSimple starts working. (Can't "Play/Pause" from the steering or radio).

Besides that it works great, if anybody's got a fix for my problem or can tell me what I'm doing wrong please let me know...

@abusala7 Well the anwser to that is both yes and no. It will work as a handsfree if you put your call on speaker but the mic on the iPhone isn't all that great for handsfree in a car. I think there is a kit you can buy from a third party to install a mic in the headliner in front of the rearview mirror but I can't remember who makes it...
