The environmental greeting cards is one of the most amazing ideas I have ever heard in marketing, but they have failed so miserably handling the approach to the marketing that the whole concept is sadly spinning its way down the drain. Even a simple rock can be sold with a good presentation that justifies its price.

I agree that a married person sending a Single's Day card to a single parent would probably be in bad taste, but I can definitely see singles (I'm thinking mainly younger ppl, like teens/early 20's) sending Single's Day cards to their other single friends, and I personally think it's a pretty good idea. However, the other team's idea was complete garbage.

I'm confused. It seemed like Feb. 13th was a turnoff to the first 2 buyers. The team only met with success when Michael made an executive decision to open the date. But when Sir Alan asked about conflict with Valentine's Day, Michael stood firmly in defense of the 13th.
Look at 0:30, Michael says "my decision is we're going to remove the date for the pitch I don't want any more deliberating about it..." The original date was a big deal. It ruined the first 2 pitches.

I'm confused. It seemed like Feb. 13th was a turnoff to the first 2 buyers. The team only met with success when Michael made an executive decision to open the date. But when Sir Alan asked about conflict with Valentine's Day, Michael stood firmly in defense of the 13th.

Michael didn't change the date, he just said it wasn't a big deal and they shouldn't mention it.
Raef didn't really give any other date, just sort of rambled on about the date not being fixed.

Look at 0:30, Michael says "my decision is we're going to remove the date for the pitch I don't want any more deliberating about it..." The original date was a big deal. It ruined the first 2 pitches.

I love Nick and Margaret. Nick says it took 4 hours to decide where the apostrophe went; Michael says 3 and then Nick just says "sorry" in the most deliciously schoolmasterly manner. I've said it before and I'll say it again: he and Margaret ARE the unsung heroes of the series.

I love how jenny contradicts herself during the meeting. "I've bought less cards because of the inpact on the enviorment". Imagine the message inside the card being, "Don't buy this card, you are destroying the enviorment".
