  • Captivating. The way the characters twist and throb is great. I love the barebones sets and minimal soundtrack too.

  • was the tool video for 'sober' an inspiration?

  • That sound is gross.

  • It's like a tool video.

  • Awesome! What really made it for me was the sound. Disgusting...in the best possible way, of course.

  • Really, really cool. The flowing, throbbing movement is beautiful in a disgusting way. What sort of lighting setup did you use to have the focus point so bright but the background so jet black?

  • i wish there was more meaning to it.. i guess there kind of was a story, but i think it was just showing off animation skills. i also thought it was strangely sexual several times O.o;

  • wow

  • this was beautiful. i nearly cried

  • it was cool but i dont get it. and he had a penis :)

  • BRING ON THE SHROOMS!

  • wow , this is amazing .. psycho :D

  • he had a dick :(

  • lol

  • what was that about

  • wtf

  • how does the clay stay in those crazy positions, do u use wire frames?Really nice vid. check mine out and tell me how to get better please

  • grrrrrreat

  • Really nice. Very well done. It makes me wonder how much of the final product was pre-visualized. I don't mean the basic outline of events and maybe framing and even storyboarding, but the end effect. Specifically, the final product of the constantly-in-motion body of the main figure with its ever-twisting head, and the choice to change colors of things it touches. Did this film come out as you desired it to in your mind's eye? Was it a result of tests and working it out as you made the film?

  • GREAT vids!

  • TRIPPY AS FUCK!!!

  • wtf

  • fucking demon-spawns

  • Its Like a horror film... i got scared... but.. what the topic of this video?

I think its very interested and its a very nice job too!! 5* But i think wonderful vids like this don't need any stars.. erveryone know this!

  • That was really wierd, you managed to do something original, well done! Although why the focus on the his dick? That was worse than Dr.Manhattens blurry blue distraction. Still though this has given me an idea for my GCSE art piece, thanks!

  • kinda creepy!

  • interesting. i love it

  • wth-wtf

  • This must of taken forever to make. So many frames

  • Yeah , absolutely

  • wierd but creative

  • O-o

  • ... speachless... i don't even know what to say... good job

  • just creepy

  • awesome.

  • . . . u m . . . s u r e

  • I know a lot of people are complaining about how he showed a penis, but I'm more interested in why he focused on it. Symbolism? An attempt at humor? To confuse those who watch his work?

  • This is pretty close to how I pictured life to begin if we were made out of clay. Complete with cottage cheese and dissonant strings.

  • Neeat.

  • jeeez stop bitching bout his work i mean hes doing work on animation so i guess he had to make something and i dont think he cares to much about your opinions if its gonna get him sumwhere in life anyway nice video and cottage cheese actualy makes tht noise e.e weird lol anyway nice vid

  • awesome! :) nice waste of time! :)

  • I really thought this was amazing, it's just something about the abstract art to it... and all the swirly yet dramatic effects. I give it five stars. It was entertaining enough to keep my attention!

  • I liked it too. Weird, nasty, abstract. But those quotes/answers in the description were kindda dull.

  • That was excellent!

  • mesmerising, very good stuff and looking forward to newer works!

  • That noise...was all wet. I think that's why I kept watching.

The clay penis kinda scared me though, xD

  • amazingly well done, i couldn't possibly have the patience you have. its the best clay mation i have ever seen, hands down. 5/5 id give u more if i could.

  • WOW. Abstract and very interesting. Good job.

  • It must have taken months to make this video. Impressive indeed.

  • Brilliant, loved the animation, sound and the story ( I don't think that's the right word for it) Kinda brought visions of a clay version of Tetsuo Iron Man to my mind.

    5*

    8-P

  • what kind of clay is that?

  • aweseome

  • this is cool, thanks for subscription, my condolences all the dick comments here

  • I liked it but it was random

  • i hated it, it was very good...but peverted

  • i juv the waqy u ruin a amazin pice of art with a sweaty cock

  • sweet. i loved the sound and this wasn't a waste of time. plus, where'd the violin come from?

  • This is incredible dude. I want you inside me. I WANT TO FUCK YOU! But not in a gay way. Like a "good job, dude" hetero way.

  • oh eeeww1!! wat was that penis?!

  • fucking awesome dude! keep this good work!

    peace

  • Sweet This is awesome keep up the good work!

  • This must've taken at least a year to produce, if not, 7 months at lowest.

  • Nope, 6 weeks.

  • the sound is brilliant!

  • amazing...

  • dude u rock keeep up the good work

  • wow

  • very impressive and entertaining! :)

  • impressive.

  • That was awesome I think

  • Oooh that must've taken a while..

  • oh, ok, it's that it looks like plastex. i use a mixture of playdoh and plastex.

  • pretty intriguing, but why did you use plastex and not playdoh? playdoh is much softer and easier to use.

  • that was a waste of my time-nobody cares about your time! lol, so true.

  • did you use tie-downs in the armature? if not what did you use to make him stand, or did you just have to spend ages balancing him and sticking lumps of blutack on him?

  • Did I just see a clayman's dingle? 0_o

  • did you use an armature? if so, was it hard to move the man around and "bubble" without revealing the wire?

  • I did use an armature. If you look frame by frame, you can often see the armature revealed through the clay, I wasn't careful about that at all. It's just that the clay was moving so much that you don't notice.

  • oh wow.

i didnt get it, but i liked it a lot. the animation was mint and the whole video was really quite creative.

    brilliant, in fact.

    cheers

  • Have a look at Closed Mondays...

  • ummm wut kind of camra did you use?

  • Nikon D70

  • oops. I just commented with my Dads account. Sign of the times.

  • Yeah, that is true. You were the one who suggested that cottage cheese would be a good sound effect, a small but vital piece of advice while I was tearing my hair out in the sound booth trying to make this movie sound disgusting.

I was just beginning to wonder when you got into blues harmonica so heavily...

  • I gotta get credit for the cottage cheese. Lawsuit?

  • Did you really use cottage cheese for the sound?

  • Yes, I did.

  • the sound was kinda annoying but errr....clay? brilliant!

  • How ever RETARDED that was.. I liked it. :)

  • hey man, this is wicked love the swirling idea. Brilliant.

  • The penor makes it more human.

    Awesome work btw. Really amazing.

  • Nice job. Me like. ^^

  • Jesus Christ! There was a neo-contemporary musical piece missing

  • wow that is...."spontaneous"

    good job! :D

  • dude, that movie is awesome, I really like it. Its a shame that lot of people doesnt understand the art of animation. I am animation fan and Im doing animations aswell. This movie is pure gold because its not just an animation its piece of art.

  • Thank you!

  • No. Please refrain from leaving your idiot comments on my video.

  • What are you? An idiot?

  • This is probably one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

    You're super talented.

And unlike all of the other people, I enjoyed the clay noise!

  • lol that noise combined with the clay is like the greatest thing ever! great job!

  • simply amazing

    great story :)

  • the noise the clay makes makes me want to throw up

  • great.

  • haha

  • it was cool but the sounds the clay made were so f'ing annoying!

  • this is very nice, but i have to say this...

    loldong.

  • yes

  • If I ever need to prove to someone that brilliant minds still exist, I'll show them this video.

  • What was the Yellow thing?

  • what was with his penis!?

  • ik i was like WTF!

  • that's not weird at all

  • I love claymation and this is beautiful man thats all i have to say 5/5

  • nice work bro keep it up.

  • I love the sounds

  • i agree, the sounds are awesome!

  • Well that was interesting :o

  • Fantastic. You have quite an imagination.

  • Spontaneous Generation wasn't that a theory?

  • Peace of art! That's what I call it : D

  • very nice, you took more time than mine.

  • How did you make the big guy stand up?

  • Rofl at his dick xDDDD

  • that was so messed up

    awesome XD

  • Wow, nice.

  • that was so cool!

i wish i had the patience to do that...

    haha

  • WTF it was gud dowe

  • dude this is awesome, it's a real piece of art.

it surely was a lot af work to compose the animation

  • that is really cool but i dont understand it

  • wtf..this is sick

  • Weird!

  • Very nice, you should do a short animation. John Carpenters The Thing...

    very well done!

  • interesting... the noises were cool and gross... a creepy film... the penis though...it will haunt me.. =D lol nice film

  • That was kinda scary, it's just so.. odd.

Really nice made though, keep it up.

  • Also, great sound effects. :)

  • This is so awsome.

    I couldn't stop watching it.

  • Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude this is crazy >->

But really nice... in a weird way >_>

  • the penis never bothered me the human body is a work of art

  • i was utterly enthralled my mouth was gaping the whole time

  • How did you get your cottage cheese to make that sound? My cottage cheese tends to remain rather silent.

  • Put your hand in it.

  • At the beginning I thought that the cardboard was cheese/crakers...

  • This reminded me so much of the stone Giant in the movie "The Wizard of Ozz"!

    Am I right?

  • I liked it. ;3

  • What?

  • look... tbh.. this is a great vid lol it prolly did take a while too hehe

  • im sure this took a very long time.........

  • yeah its impressive, but the audio sounds like dog diarrhea splattering into a pile on a cloudy, muggy summer afternoon.

  • why does it keep showing his penis? lol

  • I really enjoyed this. The sound design was great and the whole thing demonstrates awesome technical and creative skill. (and thanks for putting this on Youtube and enduring the onslaught of dumb comments.) Nice work.

I was wondering about the human shaped figure. Did you use some sort of armature or wire, or was he clay only? How big was your workspace?

  • My workspace was very small, maybe 5' by 4'. The human shaped figure had an armerature wire and was suspended by a rig from above. I then painted out the rig frame by frame. I'll never do it that way again.

  • so awsome!

  • ANDYYYYYYY!!!! i dont know u but this is hella nice!!

  • weird but really cool

  • A new way to use cottage cheese

  • That's awesome!!!You are a genius Andy!!

  • Dude this is amazing.

  • That was really impressive, good job.

  • wow i love the concept behind it. <3 well what i got from it anyway.

  • thaats amazing.

i have no experince in aything like it but it looked really good and involved alot of work.

    well done

  • i love you kinda sorta not at all :)

  • Andy, you're becoming quite the household name. Don't forget about me and Colin while you're off doing successful things..

  • WiCKED COOL

  • whird.... lol new way to spell weird.

  • it impressed me :) good job making this animation!

  • If it looks strange and has a point it's gotta be art, right?

  • Why da fuk the penis?

  • Why da fuck not?

  • Cool, well... that things not a penis. It's a dick.

  • Fact: Dick and penis are the same thing.

  • WHO CARES?

  • I think it represents male desire.

  • Are you related to Ellen Cahill? :)

  • No.

  • This was awesome man, and totally not a waste of time. I bet this film gave a lot of people a lot of inspiration, I know it gave me some; thanks.

  • Very amazing. Professional.

  • very inspirational, i want to get back into this, lots of patience. great
