that being said the high lever or as we call it the jap toss, is a great move if worked properly. No complaints about the other moves, but that first one is awful.
Terrible move..any decent wrestler will get his weight down and cover here. There are only two ways to pull this move off, on the feet and locked in the crotch. Either way you have to have momentum to hit it, whizzer from this position and you bury yourself.
i think they are trying to make fun of wrestling. whoever made this is jealous that even a 6 year old wrestler would be able to take them down and make them say uncle
haha my good friend RIcky Turk he wrestled for Rim of the world then off to Columbia University i forgot who this other guy was but i know he was a California state placer in 2000 along with Ricky Turk. also Turk having a partner like Marcie Van Dusen(Olympic wrestler Beijng) they did some damage at tournaments and duals.
This particular set up wouldn't work simply on thje basis that the guys right arm and leg are not isolated which c/would give him the option to base out.
If the move is done correctly neither wrestler's will hurt their neck or head. Wrestlers train their neck muscles a lot so our necks are very strong even though it sounds stupid. This might be Greco or freestyle though because there aren't that many throws in folkstyle unless you are down by 5 points and need it or if your coach gives you the go ahead to do it.
First off you hope not to be the guy on the bottom. Second if your a wrestler you should know how to break your fall w/out landing on your head (u hope).
@gheemunniept2 Yeah it does look kinda dangerous, but the guy in red turns him, since he doesn't want to land on his own head, neither of them will land on their head.
I can see that move a real danger if your opponent doesn't give a crap about changing someone's life forever...only about winning.
I see no question mark in this sentence, so therefore, it is not a question. Throws like this happen all the time in wrestling, especially in freestyle and greco. Before you get too amperated you better check yourself because I know ALOT more than you do about wrestling. Any questions you would like help with?

Nice video. I didn't realize how similar wresting and judo are b/c most wrestlers only do one or two leg tackles. We call those moves uchimata, tawara gaeshi and sumi-gaeshi with naked grips in judo..
i like the high lever. imma try to do that move to someone at my wrestling practice without them expecting it whatsoever and see how the results turn out. lol

sambo, judo, jujitsu, BJJ, systema, MCMAP(my style), Krav Maga, MMA all use the same moves with different names. Perhaps thats because the human body is the same in japan as it is in russia or the US. the same things work everywhere
if you want to learn how to do that throw well, then you should take judo. I couldn't throw at all. I mean I couldn't even do a decent head and arm. After a few years of judo it just clicked and was completely transferable to wrestling. When you do the throw right it's effortless.
I'm fairly certain he'd have noticed if he were training with a Gi and it wasn't working in wrestling. "was completely transferable to wrestling," that kind of says it all.
In rtheuer's case it wasnt an issue apparently, well great for him but if you talk to alot more Judoka's you will find that isnt the case at all. He makes a blanket statement that isnt supported by my personal experience.

Not really... #1 isn't a throw at all, more of a ne waza sweep. #2 is more like a no gi uchi mata. #3 is a lateral drop, not like a yoko guruma.

Looks a lot like a butterfly sweep. Reminds me a lot of the uchi mata also in judo, simply no gi.
There's a LOT of carry over between grappling styles.
