@Django5198 Psychedelic Rock and lots of 60's music were influenced by blues( among other genres) that's why the 60's music is a complex yet simple mixture of all those things,
without knowing ( probably they were all chillin back then) they invented a whole new level of music, still inspiring every single musician today.
My name is Jack Woodward. I've spent the past few years churning out music as fast as possible. Most cats record an album a year and call it a day. They deliberate on the shit that they're going to do before hand and deface the initial inspiration of the music into obliteration. I try to capture it at the moment of conception. I don't question what I'm being told, I just write it down. Check out my music videos to hear the songs I conceived in this fashion.
They did get back together and had a reunion album. 1980 or so. The drummer was already in his 60s. Would that make him maybe 90 now? I saw them at the Keystone in Palo Alto on their tour.
We was havin' fun back then guys. Good times. Glad you like the music too. One thing I can tell ya that I remember. Just make your own action no matter where or when you are. Good luck guys. Also, google Barry "The Fish" Melton. His is an interesting story.
I had this album when it first came out! It was very cool. I did some bad acid and went downtown Vancouver to the Retnal Circus and saw the Guess Who (I think) anyway I got home somehow and put on the album...I think "Death sounds" put me to sleep....OMG ..it's 2009
OMG I spent 67-68 hanging out on 4th, dealing grams from the Lions on the old courthouse steps, and seeing shows at Roger Schiffer's Retinal Crcus. I was just reading about the original SF group, The Charlatans who I saw at the Circus. I had a chance to see the Doors there in July 67 and DIDN'T go!
I got to see the doors in Vancouver and led zep as a back up to Vanilla Fudge. For a short while I worked for "Father Phips Light show". I clean now of drugs! Those were some crazy times!
This was just before they hit it big. They weren't well known yet and I had just spent 4 days hitchhiking to get to Vancouver and I was tired. I told myself that they would be back later that summer. They hit it big almost immediately and there went my chance. By the way, I was also offerred true "Purple Owsley " acid to take at the show and I turned that down too!
It takes me back to a night in the Filmore East when they played and we were all tripping our brains out on this stuff called "purple owsley " Man that was some good acid and the way I remember it that show went on all night long! , I think Fleetwood Mac (the original one) played as well as some crazy theater group from SF called something like "Kasumas Self Obliteration" it was wild!
Ya know,I used to listen to this when it first hit the streets back when! I played that thing on acid or mushrooms over and over ! It takes some getting used to but there's just something magical about it! It's nice to hear it again,Thanx
ermm, sounds like an acid trip ☮

@Django5198 But yeah, it is bluesy with some touches of psychedelic in the lyrics and in the mood of the song. :)

I was alive back then and now it's not then. Saw the Dead in Golden Gate Park and the Airplane at Winterland and Fillmore East.
But that was yesterday and yesterday's gone. Now I have what you have, mp3s

Love this tune from the first time I heard to right now.
They would stretch it out live & jam it.
We loved this band from where I'm from.
Local faves from before this came out.
Songs a classic of the times.
Great song any time.
