  • those outbacks are much better than foresters.

  • subaru for the win!

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • im canadian which means i know how to drive in the snow and can get through this weak shit in my old man buick....

  • If the guy in the forester knew how to drive it would have came out a lot easier

  • If you want to rip off your exhaust thats the way to do it.

  • Ewwwwwwww...is that Forester an automatic?

  • the guy in the forester can't drive

  • doing that is stupid though, even in a truck, you run the risk of hitting hard snow and ripping a brake line in half or ripping your bumper off..

  • God I hate the northeast. I live in Cleveland I hate this shit.

  • I would have gotten through this on my Vento if i wanted to.. it's all about the driver and tires.. :D

  • @ibbi270 So true =)

  • Nothing better than starting your car up cold in the winter and then beating the shit out of it.

  • Subaru's are great with the snow! :D

But how come the Forester always has a little issue with the snow? I seen many vids on Youtube where the Forester has just a little trouble with the snow. But the 2011 Legacy and Outback seem to eat the snow.

  • looks like the impreza was a little faster doing this

  • 2nd driver was sucks!!!

  • Gayyyyyyy

  • The GC8 is my favorite :)

  • 2:35 reving a COLD engine...

  • 20' is really not that bad. If you had FWD you would be stuck until ice melted...

  • Cold engine!! I think the forester driver was the reason that car took longer lol.

  • @MtnXfreeride

the point of saying the engines were cold is its terrible to put stress on a cold engine as the internals actually expand and seal more properly once they reach optimal temp and also you have to give the parts time to become lubed. =]

  • an every day thing up in plattsburgh ny

  • That's makes a Subaru a Subaru....

  • How come the bigger Forester had more problems than the smaller WRX?

  • @itssomeidiot driver error.

  • @itssomeidiot automoatic transmission ;)

  • @itssomeidiot Cause the WRX is beast

  • GOOD GOD MY 94 FORD ESCORT CAN DO THAT WEAK THE SUV HAD MORE PROBLEMS THEN THE CAR GO FIGURE

  • my lowered fwd 15 year old vw could have done that. you suck at driving

  • @rafisawaf my raised 47 year old one wheel drive would jump over it. you suck at trolling!

  • obvious shit is obvious

  • the gut in the suv drives like a pussy

  • i got the same car as the back one a 98 L impreza there pretty good in the snow my jeep was so much beter but i like having 20mpg lol

  • Fail... Automatic

  • U should worm up the engine first!

  • Get Blizzaks and u can get out of that kind of snow in a Civic.

  • @MikeHuntIsItchy yah my 2 civics weren't bad at all in snow.

  • My tahoe last year plowed through 4 feet of hard plowed snow. Ill miss that thing this year. I have a 08 WRX.. we will see how it does..

  • @nd4spd325

today in new york we got 4 feet. i saw pathfinders, explorers all tap out!

  • @MikeTysonEatsKids

I live on the Idaho/Jackson wyoming border. I bought an 02 ford explorer a few years ago, and it KICKS ASS on the highway in the winter, whether its ice, snow, slush, whatever...just cruises like its pavement. Even off road in deep snow, as long as I have momentum. But when I park it at night, and then it snows a foot or two by morning. . that mutha gets stuck right where I had parked it. Drives me Insane...LOL i love the thing but POS!

  • @bentleyshane as long as you have momentum you can pretty much keep anything going.

  • A good driver would've plowed right through it too.

  • wow u guys r fucking morons get a real car like a honda

  • @EricDoesWork hahaha

  • Last year my 1998 Forester got snowed in similar to this. A good set of all-terrain tires got me out in 2 tries. The tires make the difference.

  • did they ºwarm up the engines?

  • im also pretty sure if the suv was standard it wuld ahve pulled thru too

  • Snow tires for either of you? It was a 110% difference for me from the street tires to real snow tires. Huuuuuuuuuge difference.

  • that is incredible

  • manual transmission ftw

  • the 4by4 struggled a lot more!!! even tho its a lot higher too!! wow that goes to show you SUBaru is the king of 4by 4!!

  • Forester driver - good effort, just need a bit more experience with the rocking momentum. Also, winter tires would have made that a 1-2 push. :) I've got a slightly lowered impreza wagon but our Winnipeg winters have snow about that deep all over the place.

  • no the forester driver just simply didnt know how to drive

  • The second guy SUCKS AT DRIVING

  • Forester climbed over the snow pile and got stuck. Lower Impreza was better plowing through it.

  • let the snow sir over night and see how soft it is

  • NO B.S. - I own a 2002 WRX WAGON - December 2009 - 20 inches of Snow - Drove through it - FACT -

  • you're annoying -FACT- -FACT--FACT--FACT--FACT--FACT--FACT--FACT-

  • fuckin american kids

  • I guarantee you if the traction control got shut off on the forester, it would have plowed through first time no problem. Also snow tires are a massive help

  • the forester would have been better if subaru would have given it more than a 4-speed auto

  • If the forester wouldn't have kept letting off the gas as soon as he touched the snow he would have been out on the second or third go :P

  • Subaru's kick asss!!!!

  • @LaZyLuKe25

    BITCH SHUT THE FUCK UP!

    Subaru is the Best!

  • @platonx1 dumb fuck i said they kick ass!!!!!!

  • I think the preza did better than the forester

  • Lmao I love playing in the snow with my preza

I've owned alot of cars, (family does auto body) and the subarus are the ones I own the longest. They really are well made cars. I can drive right by people who are in 4x4 trucks and they're still stuck, and I'm smiling and waving at them, lmao. Sure I offer to help, I make nice ruts for them to get out with :p

  • Ok....but my F350 would do that in 2wd.....

  • Guy in the forester's an idgit.

  • preza's a stick, yes?

  • Subaru awd power!!! But the Forester have the summer tires!!!

  • wtf he is just pussy footing it and trys to rev it like he is going to do something and then hits it at 1 mph lol

  • love the reverse gear whine, almost every stick has it :)

  • that impreza looks sweet :)

  • If the Forester driver had turned traction control off, it would've been a different story. . .

  • he would have still gotten out, because the traction control only brakes individual wheels when mechanical differentials fails to deliver enough power to the wheel with least traction. 05 forrester with the same drivetrain didnt even have traction control. Subaru awd is mainly mechanical and does not rely on computers to detect and send power like most awd systems out there.

  • @sga86 *Cough* Quattro ftw ... ahem tis mighty cold out lol.

an easy way to overcome those silly traction control awd systems is to hold teh brake lightly while trying to get out of a bad situation, this puts pressure on all wheels tricking the TCS so giving power to all four wheels. also works with mechanical awd too.

  • The second driver is looser!

  • this is kind of a usless demonstration. we got 22 inches of snow this one winter storm where i live, my STi (with snow tires of course) plowed right through it, even though it was well higher than the bumper :)

  • 2.5rs pave d-bag

  • Impreza looked like he broke through easier and with more 4wd then just rocking the forester back and forth (like a granny at church bingo!) Maybe it was the driver...Does the Forester driver's license refer to CRACKER JACKS anywhere?

  • Ridiciulous, actually

I plowed through a whole lot more of snow this winter in a VW T4 syncro. It would have eaten that tiny pile o snow for breakfast :D

btw. you have to rock your car forwrds/bckwrds with the cluth, or with D/N on the gear lever of your hilarious automatics, rapidly, in order to get out of snowpiles

  • man in the forester is MOThERFUCKER. xD omfg

  • the end scared the crap out of me, I though the snow plow driver went phsyco!

  • They sped up the camera haha, he's normal by the looks.

  • I run toyo observes on my 90 legacy wagon and it would eat through that pile and the pavement beneath it as well. oh and I wouldnt be stuck any longer, lol!

  • The worst driver what I have seen....

  • Read the stat on how "Subbys" are made. Symmetrical, horizontally opposed, torque distribution ...learn WHY they are that way and you'll be more impressed.

  • what model is the blue subaru?

  • @Ryino123 its an older model impreza

  • Impreza, standard edition - not WRX from the looks. COULD be a later STI though.

  • Did we both watch the same video? You know, the one that announced the cars in the beginning? IMPREZA. It's an IMPREZA. If you can't keep up with the rest of the class, it's best not to raise your hand.

  • lol wow the sedan had less trouble than the suv...

  • now.. if you could please learn to drive that forester, you should be able to at least tie the 2.5 rs. . . seriously you dont just ease it into it you go balls out.

  • might i suggest some winter tires lool i cud get through that alot faster in my 01' honda crv bcuz its got winter tires and ive already tried =P

ur not doing ur engine a favor by revving it while cold btw =/

  • Subaru is awesome. =D

  • чурки

  • Forester's suck!

    Go Impreza!!

  • love a good 2.5rs...

  • AWD FTW!!!

  • I just say... 4wd FTW!

  • Ooch, cold engines..

    where's the love?

  • @dmonkfunk

    Perfect, very stupid think

  • I have done twice that with my WRX....LOL that is funny though.

  • Made in Japan/ТОЯГА

  • Fuck LADA it can hardly drive on tarmac, so stfu.

  • they made it look so easy

if it was my car there, it would take forever to go through(toyota carmy)

i was a subaru for winter

  • Its hard to judge how hard this is.. I know I have gone out of deeper snow than this, but this looked much more densely packed than what our schools plows leave behind our cars. I have also gotten nearly stuck (took lots of rocking) in less snow than this. Stock tires are junk on the forester.

  • Forester has VDC off?

  • 3:25 it looked like snow plow guy got angry and started chasing the forrester... he think he had em...

  • those are obviously shitty tires. A good snow tire would have plowed right through that.

  • Yah lol. My GSX backed through deeper snow than that but i had good snow tires and LSD in the rear. I dont think Impreza's have LSD's.

  • that shape only had a LSD in the centre by the means of a viscous coupling.

the new ones ie 2003 upward have the viscous coupling and rear LSD

  • Doesnt the viscous center lock the rear just like a rear LSD?

  • to be honest mate i dont know as far as i know all its designed to do is maintain a 40/60 front/rear spilt i dont think it locks thought.

  • I was gonna say the same thing.. My old 06' stock tires were junk, same with my newer 06' Impreza.. first thing worth replacing.

  • @livingaboard you dont know shit about snow. wth. thats hard heavy snow. nothing 2WD can easy got trought this even with some winter tires.

  • @livingaboard There all Season XD well they look all season and you can tell by the sliding aswell XD

  • @livingaboard maybe they don't even have snow tires. no idea about the laws in the US concerning winter tires.

  • @fenix144 Generally, there aren't laws concerning winter tires. There are certain roads and local ordinances that require people to have tire chains and/or possibly snow tires in high mountain areas in the west in wintery conditions, but for the most part snow tires are not mandatory.

  • @Bireno ok thanks for the info.

  • @fenix144 Holy crap. I just posted that message literally 60 seconds ago. Reply ninja!

  • @Bireno yes I'm the reply ninja! *smokebomb* *fades away*

  • @Bireno in quebec it's the law to have winter tire from 15 december to 15 march

  • not deep enough - next time snow should be even with the Impreza's roofline

  • du u rly have nothing better to do?

  • SU BA RU!

  • really wrong driver

  • Subaru's are really good vehicles if only we don;t need a hybrid commuter car.

  • Don't you just love the snow in testing our vehicles. I plowed to the same pile up on my cx-7 same result. Worst thing that ever happened to me is skidding on a 180, black-ice at 0-5 mph on a packed cars parking lot...whew! It stopped spinning eventually.

  • its interesting actually. Due to the shape of the forester, it lifts its wheels off the ground reducing traction. The impreza is lower and doesn't curve as much ad the back so it isn't trying to lift itself. This is perhaps a bad quality of the new foresters?

  • that is like barley any snow. try and 5' bank.

  • Awesome vid of what Subaru's do everyday. The snow is just one of many road hazards AWD conquers.

  • Good for the exhaust and rear bumper lol. red line when its cold... good one :o

  • Seeing that vid made me wish I still owned my '02 Outback soooooo bad! When it comes to fun in the snow, Subarus are the only way to go. Comfortable, compact enough to whip around, decent ground clearance, and of course, symmetrical full-time AWD

  • Which part of the UNited States is this ? by the way I looooove your impreza... is that the RS?

    cheers mate!

  • audi would have made it look easy

  • Would have been nice to see that with some decent tires on the subarus :)

  • That service manager's an asshole. But you showed him. lol

  • Isn't that awful for the exhaust and cat? Funny video great stuff always happens in snowy parking lots

  • awesome video!

  • Whooo! Subaru FTW!

i'm building My Subaru to Be a Winter Beater.

    a ' Winter Beast ' as i call it.

  • Nice job pulling out!! subaru awd ftw!

  • i thought about sellin my impreza coupe, but we just got a foot of snow today, and i realized once again why i bought my subaru in the first place. :)

  • He says in a nother vid that the VDC was on and kept the Forester from spinning it's tires thus preventing it from digging through the deep snow.

  • I think the rs being lower to the ground in this case may have helped it since it acted more like a snow plow where as the forrester was losing traction because the back was lifting off the ground enough to unload the suspension. Attach a big snow plow to the back of the forrester ;-)

  • Hmm weird, the forrester shouldn't have that much trouble going through that little bit of snow. I noticed that the wheels kept stopping and then spinning again. Did you disable traction control? Doesn't seem like you did.

  • Good job guys. We want more clips with subaru in deep snow :P

  • They did through a butt load of snow behind my Forester after kicha pulled out but whatever...

Thanks for watching.. You guys should check out the Subaru Sti Vs the Mud Swamp Thing...

  • @himeson would you nt just reverse the subaru flat out in reverse.??

  • you packed the snow behind the forester harder than behind the RS. that`s cheating you know

  • that's awesome guys. what tires do you have on the RS?

  • thats y i drive an impreza

  • i thought the forester would beat the impreza i think because it has more wheight

  • i was surprised it is rear wheel drive

  • they are both all wheel drive

  • this video was good
