  • This is a great vid i stay in n.c. So i see a lot of ns coal drags usually 3 locos up to 110 cars nice sounds and layout go ns!

  • hey man do you by any chance live in or near easley sc. I have seen some of ur videos of trains in easley i also live near easley to

  • You know I never really seen where they place engines in the middle of a train!!! Is that pretty common or not? Where I live you usually only see one or two engines placed on the rear of the train, but then again the grade isn't really that bad here!!!

  • how long in inches is engine number 8742?

  • GE's are cool man! Nice stuff!

  • SD80MAC Should be leading, I Belive GE Sucks,

  • Need more road crossings. i love seeing trains cross road crossings. i guess thats what happens when you live next to one

  • how do you get your hoppers to stay on the track during the tilted track scenes?!Mine fall off!(I luckily didn't let that get on youtube). Please tell me how! Please!

  • damn ur cars must be weighted properly to make those curves and still stay on track good job 5/5

  • you can easily make a 'horseshoe curve' diorama layout... that would be great

  • Unbelieveably awesome, that is so sick, i nearly cryed. great work on the helpers, had to have a nice touch to keep everything even and not derailing. Excellent, excellent! 10 stars!

  • man how did those cars uncouple?

  • theres a magnet under it

  • Different video clips. I uncoupled them between clips

  • oh...usually someone will put a magnet under the track.....i do the same thing as you

  • all the sound effects really brings your layout to life.

  • Do most of your rolling stock have metal wheel and if they do what size are those? some are different such as a coal cars wheels to a grain hoppers wheels.

  • Please excuse my comment that the c40-8 was ex-cr. It's originally an ns, the widecabs are x-cr.

  • nice video how steep is that grade

  • awesome

  • Thanks!

  • Hey, I am in the process of building a larger layout and was wondering how long it took to build your layout and how much did it take?

  • We've been working on ours for about a year and a half now. We usually work on it about 4-5 hours a week, but its been hard in the summer to get as much done. Good Luck on the layout!

  • i have a question for u? i am a train fan an live right next to a line 45 miles out of conway yard. why did u put the helpers in the middle of the the train, rarely in the area of ns do they put them there i seen them on UP and BNSF that way. just askin rock on man NS power all the way. the local in the yard here by me is 5236 and 35 both gp38-2's

  • Well I tried them in the back, but it had problems. there is a crossover right befor the climb and the coal cars kept coming off in the crossover because the helpers were pushing so hard. So i added them in the middle and it worked well! Thank!s

  • Nice! You need a GenSet. I am going to custom build one!

  • I do! Sweet! Make a video when you do! Ide love to see it!

  • Whoever owns the 6001 is one lucky person. that unit was about $250 last i checked!

  • I own that. I got it at Trainworld in NY for $190!

  • Lucky. Have you ever seen it in person?

  • The engine or the store?

  • 6001. I saw it's sister 6002. awesome in person

  • I havnt no.. But ide love to! Whered you see it?

  • Saw it in Bradford,Pa. It was testing with BNSF 6601, and GECX 600 on the BPRR Train "JBSI"(Johnsonburg,Pa to Salamanca,NY) really cool to see in person!.

  • Man thats so cool! Sweet!!

  • Awesome! Great selection of power, and very nice grade; Very challenging, it looks like. I'm thinking of making a video on my layout of a local working the branch line industries and heading out on the main.

  • what kind of sound decoder is in the ac6000 and the 8-40c's?

  • Both the Ac6000cw and the Dash8's have QSI (quantum sound) decoders. The sound came factory installed with the engine.

  • Nice video,Do you live in North Carolina?

  • Can you upload this video file to my FTP server? I'll give you a user name and password. I like watching them on my 52" TV Its too bad You tube does not have a viewer for my Windows Media Center.

  • I probably can! Ime not very familiar with the system, but if you tell me how to i will!

  • You and I have to get our NS fleet together some day. How many NS locomotive do you have now?

  • Do those Dash 8 cws run good on Dc too or just DCC. looking to buy one of those.

  • I ran them on DC for a while befor out layout was operational and they ran great!

  • you should put in a seperate helper base, use some sd40-2s and then you'll be mountain railroadin! I have not really seen NS use midtrain helpers, they usally put them at the end, I may be wrong... Anyways Very nice vid, and keep us posted on the layout!

  • very nice layout i live along the ns st louis divison

  • Thanks! Very nice! sweet!

  • The main thing is...the ez command cant program CVs so you can't speed match locos...

  • I have DCC thro E-Z command. I love controlling my locomotives individually but what bothers me (sometimes) is when I lash up multiple loco's I have trouble keeping them at the same speed. How do you keep your multiple locomotives pacing at the same speed? Do you think I would need something else to go with my controllers? I only have 1. Btw, your NS Dash8-40cw 8387' ditch lights are bright, how did you make them brighter than the cab lights?

  • I actually didnt change anything to make th lights brighter. The loco came with them like that, but it didnt come with any cab lights. Ime exactly sure how to do it one the E-Zcommand system, but like graysonator said you should be able to change the CVs.

  • Very realistic engines dude!!!

  • i like this video a lot! i was wondering where u got some of ur NS units. like ur lead helper unit. i think its like a dash 8 or some shit. its nice lookin!

  • Thank you very much! I got all three of those dash8s (the helpers) From trainworld... They have the best prices out any other place ive seen. Theyre website is very confusing however and lists very little of what thy actually hve in stock, but they have ads in the model railroad magazine, which are very clear....

  • ok thanks!

  • Nice vid! I love your HO train vids! SOO realistic!

  • WoW nice job, one of your best videos i think, hey also i am willing 2 weather some of those coal cars 4 free. send me a PS if u want 2

  • Really Nice!

  • thanks!

  • Can you tell me in a short way how to set up dcc?

  • in short I cant... lol sorry. If you want you can go to the Digitrax website and they have a very clear a layed out set of instructions on how to set up DCC...

  • k thanks lol
