hehe got same problem here, nobody around me listens to them, only me and my brother. They all like nightwish, and more known bands, and look at this as second hand music. And its right, stories about this can never end, esp. with my past, obsessed with nordic culture....

Nightwish is nice, but it's total commercial crap. Let them look at Ensiferum the way they do, THEY are those who are missing the real treasure here. Everyone who has ever really opened up to Enska, has adored, treasured, cherrished and worshiped them, even those who do not like the music genre much.

Ensiferum are great guy who haven't forgotten and lost themselves to the commerce, neither to fame. It is not just music but a religion, a way of life and it has always been my way.

It's quite funny how I keep running to people who say the same thing, that Enska is their religion, that it is way more than music, that the have alll their lives waited for such thing to show up! There are also people who have lived otherwise until they came across Ensiferum and their lives changed because of it, they found a new path, a way to fight with joy, amazement and excitement the everyday life instead of fear and dispise!

Ensiferum came to me too when I was in despair. They saved my life, no joke. There is something strange about this genre of music... it is extremely powerful and warrior-like but also has emotion and peace and honor at the same time. Simply amazing!

I totally agree with you. It is not only the genre, it is truely Enska! They are so different from any other music... just imagine theirs was the first non-classic concert I ever went to. It only confirmed all I ever thought of their music and proved that they are not only talented musicians but also great people.

And there were deseases everywhere and the slightest cold could kill you because there were no medicin... and people didnt shower, so everyone was smelling like crap... So it wasnt really that great.
