  • As an Australian steeped in Bushranging history - the film is not great. I advise people to read all the books they can to get the broadest view of Kelly.

  • This is a good example of bad execution, the film could never do the hero credit.

  • one of the worst makes of this " legend " ledger was dreadful, really read the character of kelly badly, or do we blame the director or writers. whatever as bad as jagger was in the part, this effort was bad

  • @sgtgewart1 it must be the director and writer:)..I though Heath acted pretty well:)

  • Really?

This movie doesnt even classify for the word Western :L

  • When he was younger my dad was talking with his dads friend in the old Melbourne gaol/jail and handled this old armour sitting on the table nearby with the scraps, it was Ned's.

  • RIP Ned xxxxxxxxx

  • At 0:42, the horse in front to the right with the big blaze, is my horses mum :)

  • Where is his armour?

  • Funny how people seem to think that Kelly and his family were somehow persecuted by the Anglo- Australians, and that he became some kind of "freedom fighter" for Irish Aussies.

These people fail to realise that the police who gave him and his family/gang a hard time were Irish-aussies themselves (mostly).

The Irish and Americans will do anything to convince themselves that the Enlgish are always the bad guys.

BTW ... this film is very historicaly inaccurate. Just another Hollywood fiction.

  • I feel like Ned Kelly sometimes.

  • omg captain barbossa and will turner

  • getting buried with his mum, sisters and brothers after 130 years. R.I.P ned kelly - R.I.P HEATH LEDGER

  • Ned Kelly the original iron man

  • I read the book "the ballad of ned kelly"!!! Very impressive history!!! a true outlaw for freedom!!!

  • Orlando :) <3

  • Says it all when this kind of waste of space can be moulded into a national hero

  • @worldcoup

You obviously don't know the story of Ned Kelly.

  • why they would cover up that beautiful face with HAIR i have no idea.

  • This is a Great movie!! Heath Ledger is perfect for the role!!

  • and my orders must be obeyed - what a line :)

  • they found ned's skeleton

  • @tewkewl they should leave him the fuck alone, REST IN PEACE. ppl forget the meaning of that... they just say it

  • Ned Kelly is the father of modern armor suit.

  • where is mick jagger?

  • Saw this movie the other day and have to say Ledger did a good job. I don't know how well this movie is with actual history (admittedly I knew little about Kelly before the film), but I can say I was astounded that Kelly in real life actual had bullet-proof armor and used it.

  • Captain Barbosa sounds so weird in this

  • He Did a superb job in this film

That's the gay cowboy and the psychopathic mass murdering clown.

Who can play such different characters and nail the role the way he did?

  • he so looks like Beckham with his hair cut low 0:34

  • Does anybody know who is behind this great music

  • AHHH i love this movie soo much! <3 glad to be australian :P

  • Does anyone know what a good film is to compare with this one?

  • Oh, I'm seeing the movie tonight. Can't wait!

And people need to chill about a simple mistake by whiteboxer up there. S/he was probably rushing and hit 'post' before getting to spell-check.

Plus, I don't care what the f****** paparazzi say--HEATH DID NOT COMMIT SUICIDE!!!!!

Just goes to show: read the cold medicine bottles before taking any pills.

  • Heath's passion always gives me goosebumps

  • oh the old australian gangster ned kelly but some of the movie are lies when he fight he always always wears his armour its a metal body kit and his beard was longer than that and he was a killer he kills any one

  • And Naomi Watts did grieve for Heath Ledger. :-(

  • for some reason i find heath ledger and orlando bloom SO incredibly hot in this movie

    rip heath <3

  • Hehe Orlando sounds weird with an Irish accent( i'm Irish)

  • I think Heath should have done a David Beckham biography movie or something bcuz I think there was a close resemblence!

  • OMG...that kiss at 0:38 wow!

  • I don't know what have been said about Orlando Bloom but here he is the man!!!

  • Thank god the joker wasn't australian. #toosoon?

  • the best part is with the armour on when they blast the shit out of the authorities

  • where is part 1

  • Хит Леджер .... вот легенда

  • For me NED KELLY is a LEGEND! <3

  • I GONNA DIE IF I DONT KNOW THE NAME OF THAT SONG THAT STARTS AT 0:31 IT IS SO FUCKING GOOD! ANYONE KNOW??!

  • Reading 'True History of the Kelly Gang' by Peter Carey at the moment it's brilliant! Love the movie too!:)

  • OMG, Orlando Bloom <3

  • I live in Australia and he was a great part of our history. This a great movie but it is to bad it is so sad at the end.

  • Nyahaah! xD Orlando Bloom look sooo funny with that beard! xD

  • I love Heath ledger haha just wanted u to know :)

  • Didn't see this movie yet, but i think there are a bit too much guns in this trailer.

  • A true australian hero <3

  • we respect him because he is ned kelly....some people belive he was an outlaw others belive he was a good man, a hero....he was both a criminal and a hro

  • why do australians respect him as a hero if he was a outlaw who killed policemen?

  • @FinesseShot the police were corrupt and shot anyone even children and they also locked ned's mother up with a infant with her. Blame him?

  • @FinesseShot cause he only robbed the rich ones and gave it to the people who had nothing

  • @FinesseShot wearing a badge, or serving in the army etc, doesn't make you a decent human being. History has shown us time and time again that, no matter what the person's proffession (policeman, solider, politician etc), some people just need killing. People are too quick to judge by profession, especially when it comes to soldiers, but even they can be racist murderers. These policemen used a badge to get away with murder, theft, and racism. They were expendable lives

  • @FinesseShot

Policemen aren't gods. They are human, just like people in any other profession. And might I add, he was driven to killing them - they hounded him relentlessly, even while he was busy minding his own business as a kid.

  • While the film isent the greatest film ive seen, it did have some great scenes, and I almost cried when that dying police officer said "I got a wife and 2 children! Who's gonna look after them!" And I hardly ever cry in movies :(

  • Ned Kelly was a complete legend, his life showed just how fucked and racist Australia was and still kind of is. When he was hanged, his rumoured last words were "Such is life..." Agreed.

  • O_O it has my 2 fav male actors in it =D

    Orlando Bloom and Heath Ledger(R.I.P.)

    just epic!!

  • R.I.P heath legdar, your a fucking legend mate

  • @whiteb0xer can you spell the person's name properly when you give them an r.i.p especially someone as great as Heath Ledger

  • @Jacko643 shut the fuck up who cares how he spells it?

  • @whiteb0xer - It's Heath Ledger! LEDGER!!! you moron..

  • @csogoreny calm down he just made a simple mistake

  • @whiteb0xer legdar>?????hahahaha

  • @whiteb0xer HEATH LADGAR RIP

  • @whiteb0xer Ledger*

  • before men could march for justice, before they could appeal to courts, there were men who picked up a gun to fight and diie for beliefs and convictions. True definition of a man

  • would be cool if Red dead redemption had an add on DLC where you could go to our australian backyard and do missions related to the kelly gang.

  • @Mattube1983 That would be awesome. But the Kelly story would probably seem very small to all the big name company's. cool idea though... I would definitely buy that. I want a pirate type rock star game like rdr and gta

  • ned kelly is a legend who will never be forgotten

  • thanks

  • what is the name of that song? 00.30??! I must know!!!

  • Orlando Bloom SUCKS.

  • @bbcasting why?troll

  • im in love with ned kelly.

  • the movie only cost 450$ to make and 1/4 of the film there was a other actor cus the real one quit

  • look it's Ned Kelly

  • This guy makes me proud to be an Aussie. Happy to say it's good being related to him.

  • @HyperCam3Vids So am I!! how are ya related???

  • @TheTigersharkdan Dunno the whole story, I've asked my mum a million times and never understand it. It has a major part to do with my grandma though. So I think he's a cousin or something.

  • @HyperCam3Vids ah, same here, Ned's dad was my great, great , great uncle, so that makes him a 10th cousin to me

  • @TheTigersharkdan :O We could be related!!

  • Ned Kelly didn't have an Irish accent. He was BORN and RAISED in Australia, why the bloody hell would be speak like that? Joke of a film.

  • @totallytgw ok dude, a little historical education is in order. At that time what we know as the "Australian" accent hadnt evolved. People often spoke in an accent like those they were around which, In Kelly's case, was his father and mother who were Irish. He spoke with an Irish accent my man.

  • @totallytgw Do you think they just had an australian accent when they stepped off the boat? Accents evolve over a long time,

  • thumbs up if you think Orlando blooms a fag...

Only because he's married to Miranda Kerr of course

  • I love Heath <3

  • Apparently there making a PS3 Game Called NED KELLY and it come out in 2013 and is for PS3 Xbox 360 Xbox Connect And PS3 Move So i am Already Saving Up Yes!

  • @BushrangerDallyMMan1 wouldnt take 3 years to make a game. nice try tho. cock head

  • Apparently there making a PS3 Game Called NED KELLY and it come out in 2013 and is for PS3 Xbox 360 Xbox Kinect And Ps3 Move So i am Already Saving Up WOO HOO!

  • nice mo robbie

  • where is the fuckin bucket on his head

  • @101andrewj buckethead stole it lol

  • He only wore that on his last hand, but I think they should've shown it in the trailer too

  • I watched this a few days ago. I nearly cried!! Its very sad!!!! To be truthful, I only watched it for orlando. XD

  • non vedo l'ra di vederlo!!

  • i cried in that movie. Just the shit that he copped from... well the cops.

  • Ned Kelly without his armor is like Batman without his bat-suit.

  • @DictatorRoB well whenever someone says ned kelly the face they see is his helmet

  • @Avatar230594

That's what I mean-they can't make movie about Ned Kelly without that helmet. It's part of his appearance, same as his last quote which proved what a man he was just few seconds before being hanged-"Such is life".

  • I am Irish and I plan on overthrowing an Irish King.

  • @GreyIrishpeasant

    Good luck.

  • does someone know where i can watch this fantastic movie in the internet in german?

  • wheres the Armor?

  • @bigbudda241

Casualty to director's weak knowledge of history.

  • Whoever signed off on this truly needs the devil to bite his arse. What a load of shit! To wait so long to see a modern Kelly film and to be presented with this crap is just an injustice to the truth...yes, the truth has been forced to bend over and take it in the arse big time. Why did the Kelly story suffer for Hollywood? The Kelly story needed nothing added or changed. I would like to say the actors did a good job. But to me the story is just a 'Cock & Bull yarn'!

  • good film

  • Wasn't that the music from "Fargo" at the end? I never got this thing of movie trailers using music from other films....but somehow it's not the first time i see it!

  • ohk so it may not be acurate but really what movie is ever acurate (sorry for bad spelling). but apart from that it dosn't look to bad, and it has good actors in it to. it's a movie people not a documentry, it's ment to be entertaining not factual lol

  • @KiaElement If you're aware your spelling is bad, then instead of wasting your time writing an apology for it, get on Google and check the bloody words! You're on the internet! Use it! >:O

  • @Econniff dude i totally couldn't be bothered.

  • @KiaElement LOL! Well played

  • what is the name of that song? 0.30 ?? soo fucking good

  • I guess the Aussie accent hadn't formed yet back then

  • orlando trying to do an aussie accent lol

  • One of my favorite movies.

  • nice

  • Watchin this movie right now haha Good movie, and good acting.

  • Just a shame that they had to add Hollywood bullshit to the story. The real story is good enough to tell, why put bullshit in the movie?

  • they didn't. Absolutely everything in the story actually happened. Most of the dialogue was taken from letters, journal entries and recordings of what was said at the time.

Have you ever even seen the film? The use of Ned Kelly's actual words make it a truly beautiful thing. It's not hollywood-ised at all. Even what he said in the bank and the letter was actually written. It's one of the most famous letters in history ..

Sooo yeah. I just kicked your ass. :)

  • Facts are, they did put a lot of bullshit in this movie that either did not happen or were put in out of order in the true sequence of events. It is true this movie is loosely based around the story of the Kelly Gang, but it is far from an accurate record of what really happened. By adding events that never occurred or characters that never existed, may be entertaining to some, but please do not state this shit as fact. The "Last Outlaw" is probably the most accurate of all movies to date.

  • @boundryrider It is accurate accept for the portrayal of Ned and his crew with females. There is no historical evidence that they had female partners and some believe they were gay. Regardless, great movie.

  • @lax4ever3000 Having spent nearly 40 years researching the subject, i can say with confidence that this movie is far from accurate. As for your Gay comment, it is well documented that Joe Byrne had many girlfriends and often went to town to visit them whilst they were on the run. There is evidence that Ned Kelly was romantically linked to his cousin Cath. Lloyd, I have never seen any Gay comments before this. You may find this movie entertaining, but accurate it is not.

  • @boundryrider Good on you for sticking up for the facts,as a amateur historian you're right this was hollywood trash ruining a brilliant story

  • @lizzielonglegs You are an idiot sir. 2 minutes on google will show why.

  • Yeah...except the battle of Glenrowan was a crock of shit the way they depicted it as a blood bath, in fact only one cop was injured and it was very slight. No one has ever said Kelly spoke with an Irish accent. In the movie he is scruffy but people always commented he was well dressed whenever possible. "Julia" never existed and the gang NEVER drank the blood of their horses like savages. Hollywood buggered up a true story which is better then this garbage.

  • @lizzielonglegs You must be really retarded. Google is your friend.

  • @lizzielonglegs No you need to read the facts

  • @boundryrider

simply dont watch it then you sook.

  • @TheNoobie1 Childish reply.

  • @boundryrider

Well that's ironic because i was refering to you as a child.

  • @boundryrider its called drama

  • Great performance from heath ledger

  • Im Irish and I love Austrailians

  • why

  • GRANDISSIMO NED... L'Italia nazional - rivoluzionaria è con Te!

  • This movie is brilliant. First of all, it includes great storyline and many genres - action, adventure, biography, history, crime and western. Next - amazing cast, especially fantastic Heath Ledger. He was so talented actor

  • And the country of the United States belongs to the people but also belonged to my Country blood Irish, wasn't it our Irish blood that stood for Presidency John F. Kennedy. and rained to glory and wasn't he loved by the people just like Ned Kelly these where men real men. fighting for justice and their beliefs just like mine my Eire her 32 , good up load of Ned Kelly my friend. just felt my views to blood Eire

  • ned kelly was a irish legend

  • why u all get so excited? no need to shit in each others faces. or???

  • Aussie, of irish descent

  • Born in australia and never went to ireland

  • @Zachmp700 and stood up for Irish aussies rights against the english settlers.

  • @Zachmp700 That never stopped half the world saving they are Irish. :P

  • @Zachmp700

no... but his father was an irish convict. still, doesnt explain why his mother has an accent.

  • @ButterflyOwnage i thought she was from ireland too

  • @Zachmp700

    What's your point?

  • @AidanMusik well people always say he's irish, which of course his family was, but techincally he wasnt actually irish

  • @Zachmp700

The man had an Irish accent, grew up with people who had Irish accents, had an Irish upbringing and parents, and was even convicted by an Irish judge!

  • @AidanMusik True, but it still doesn't change the fact that he WAS born in Australia and never went to Ireland as Zachamp said. So technically, he wasn't Irish.

  • @toddles9

    he was both

  • @AidanMusik His dad died when he was young and his mothers family had been settled in Australia for a long time. My mothers parents were born in Ireland and they lived in Mt Isa, with a large Irish population and she doesn't and neither do her siblings have a detectable Irish accent like their parents. There were no more Irish settled in Victoria then any other group.

  • @Zachmp700 hes still more irish than austrailian..

  • @Zachmp700 i was born in england to irish parents, never went to ireland. i had a strong irish accent up until the age of 12, about the time i went to secondary school. your accent is shaped by your surroundings, not your place of birth.

  • @Zachmp700 his blood line was 100% Irish.

  • @bhoy029 His mum was Australian born.

  • @Zachmp700 he lived in an irish community, in the colony of victoria, so he wouldnt have considered himself australian

  • wtf wat abount his helmet!

  • frobinhood everyone has an opinion and mine is that your the fucking moron besides the mick jagger one is the nowhere near the true story the only one that explain the whole story is the last outlaw starring john jarret as Ned watch that one before u start callin people morons

  • its rumoured ned actually didnt get hanged his brother jim who had days to live because of cancer aparently swapped with him when ned got out of the hotel because you think about it ned got out he could of slipped away but he went back so if he swapped with jim then jim gets himself caught everyone thinks ned is dead and ned can live happily ever after

  • I never knew about this rumor. and I've never heard of The Last Outlaw, but I like the Mick Jagger version

  • "I've never shot a man.... but if I do, so help me god!!!...... YOU'LL BE THE FIRST!!!" - love that bit - shame it was'nt in the film though. Heath Ledger was at his finest in this film, The Patriot, A Knight's Tale, Brokeback Mountain and of course The Dark Knight. R.I.P Heath.

  • WizardOfOzzie is a dumb old fag who just wants to lick Lonigans arse.

  • TO ALL HEATH LEDGER FANS! This was without a doubt one of Heaths best performances along with Brokeback, Monsters Ball and of course the Dark Knight. A must watch of Ledger fans.

  • ned kelly is a legend

  • anyone knows the first song that it plays?
