He does not say anything about 27 nautical miles per hour, he says 27 miles per hour. Otherwise he would have said 27 knots.. I own and sail a Taipan 5,7, which is faster than the Tornados of that era, and believe me when I say that going faster than 25 knots on an average run is just about impossible..
