By the way, you do get water bolt from books, and I think you can just mouse over them to find the bolt. Spellcasting seems to be amazingly useful in the jungle. Waterbolts just eat man-eaters alive.
I bought the game myself about a week ago ^^; Been through the Jungle and Dungeon, died twice ;_; But I was playing on softcore so it's okay :3
First death was to a dungeon guardian because a corruption spawned right next to a dungeon and I popped down to grab a quick shadow orb, only to find a giant skull leaping through the wall at me x_x; The other death was from falling after building a tower above the dungeon to find floating islands and missing my grapple.
