Even though this ending was a huge resolution it was also a cliffhanger at the same time -- it's unknown how Valerian Mengsk will factor into this. He most certainly has reasons for helping Raynor "rescue" Kerrigan that he hasn't revealed. (And you can tell he's cold and manipulating just from the way he talks. For God's sake he sounds like a Final Fantasy villain...). Also, it's completely unknown whether Kerrigan will still maintain the same powers, and whether she's really fully "cured."

Kerrigan was turned back into a human for a reason. I'm sure there is also a reason why the next game expansion is titled "Heart of the Swarm".

My guess...

They're gonna introduce a new villain(s) that'll make the former Queen of Blades seem as dull as a butter knife.

Chris Metzen the director said Heart of the Swarm is going to be Kerrigan regaining her powers. And I don't think the hybrids or the "Dark Voice" that are coming that jis going to wipe out everything is going to be "dull".

Neh the hybrids(Protoss/Zerg) and its mysterious "Dark Voice" master is coming. If you play the game, you'll see a vision of the future that those things are gonna wipe out every terran and protoss and enslave the zerg. It was said that Kerrigan was the key to prevent such a thing. But she was dead in that alternate future. Now like Jimmy said "We all got our choices to make".

Since you're watching this I'll give more details to most of you who didn't get this far yet/get the game, Findlay's an outlaw that covered for Raynor and was brought out of his life sentence by Mengsk (although he claims it was moebius) and convinces Raynor to get the artifacts that comprise a greater xel'naga artifact, and the artifact can be used to turn Kerrigan back to a human.
