The founder of the Motions was Robbie van Leeuwen, who left the group before this recording. The second from the right is Henk Smitskamp (bass) who played later on in Robbie's Shocking Blue.
The Motions in their earlier days had a harder Mod style sound, but come 1968 they jumped on the psychedelic band wagon....I may post another song from this LP that is alot more harder that this.
great inverted cornet hairdo on the right, very davy jones.imagine it played on vinyl, in a bedsit, a mod alone, making coffee during a rare pause in his hectic life. musically, the song is flat, although it wears all the production values i love. but soft melodic values, dont match the strides in the pic. had em for harder lads. but, still, when it comes to vintage tunage like this, id rather hear it anyway, its all education. thanks for the post. and good luck wherever these boys may be now.
