Creed will never happen again, EVER. I was a huge Creed fan, but Alter Bridge is WAY better. Tremonti himself has said mulitple times that he will never do Creed again. I give them full respect for not selling out and playing Creed songs the way Stapp does.
Accually, Alter Bridge doesn't play Creed songs because they all agreed that non of them would perform any Creed material unless it was with the original 4. Stapp broke the agreement. It wouldn't sound terrible, just different considering Miles is a tenor and Stapp is a baritone.

I think Alter Bridge are here for the long haul. They might not have anywhere near as much success as Creed had but from what I can tell from interviews and seeing them live 3 times they seem to be at peace with each other and enjoying the freedom they all have making the music. Myles is the kind of frontman who doesen't live the rock n roll lifestyle and I think that is beneficial for a band to last longer. Having said all that.. Stapp is a unique singer and is good in his own way.

This feels like an insult to Tremonti and the rest of the original Creed group. This was their song, not Stapp's. Tremonti wrote these songs, and they both wrote lyrics. You don't see Alter Bridge doing Creed songs, because they're not Creed. Scott Stapp has always been relatively good on live peformances, not as much when he was on the medications for his back during the weathered tour but here he sounds very good. The band he is playing with doesn't play the song like Creed, it's because they didn't write the music, even so, Creed-Scott Stapp= Not Creed and Creed-Band members=Not Creed, Creed is all of them together. Though Scott sounds very good solo. All power to him.

I think Alter Bridge are here for the long haul. They might not have anywhere near as much success as Creed had but from what I can tell from interviews and seeing them live 3 times they seem to be at peace with each other and enjoying the freedom they all have making the music. Myles is the kind of frontman who doesen't live the rock n roll lifestyle and I think that is beneficial for a band to last longer. Having said all that.. Stapp is a unique singer and is good in his own way.

First off. I've been listening to Creed and Alter Bridge for as long as each has been around. I can play almost every Creed song and some Alter Bridge...here's my thing. One. The fact that Scotty boy had to get two guitarist to play what Mark Tremonti played by himself makes me laugh. Here's my thing though...This is pathetic. The music was indeed intended to be the same. However, wasn't. Lack of musical talent in the "covering" area? Perhaps. There are many notes left out.

no. people thought they were because of what stapp wrote about. he said himself they were personal songs questioning his belief in GOD. In fact treminti and phillips got mad at stapp for being draged in that view. They said they wanted to be rockstars hehe.

nthin like creed all together. I recon scott stapps new stuff is quite good, but the melancoly part that tremonti used to put in to the songs made the whole. now Alter Bridge is rockin with that style. they're fuckin awesome. I like scotts stuff anyway.

This feels like an insult to Tremonti and the rest of the original Creed group. This was their song, not Stapp's. Tremonti wrote these songs, and they both wrote lyrics. You don't see Alter Bridge doing Creed songs, because they're not Creed. Not only does the performance suck, but it feels like Stapp is still trying to milk Creed for all it's worth when its so obvious that its over. I'll probably catch a lot of heat for this, but it's really kinda pathetic.....

the drummer/ guitar player (former friends of mark tremonti), playing this shook hands with mark shortly before this, promising him he would not play a Creed song on stage with stapp. well, there it is. backstabbing fucks. (refrence - michael tremonti)

Scott Stapp has gotten better, I don't think Creed should get back together, they pushed Stapp too hard and it caused him to break, he is better solo and finding his own.

I'm not sure if I want them to get back together. Scott Stapp is awesome but the old members are really bad people. I've read some of the they said and they sound really bad. I agree though, they did push Scott to far... I feel so sorry for Scott... He was one of the most important parts in a record setting band and now he isn't nearly that big...

yeah because tremonti has a big head now, they all had, but hes too stuborn to give scott a chance, thats why hell never play a creed song ever, at least scott is true to himself, listen to the great divide cd. and btw alter bridge sounds better now but will never be as BIG AS CREED remember that. tremonti shreds now because hes takin a class for it, in the creed days thats just pure, raw talent. 4 heads are better than 3 or 1 for that matter

I'm offended by this display of blahness, Creed broke up in '04. I read in an interview on ultimate-guitar(dot)com (next post, ran out of space)
So... I think it's rather ridiculous and selfish of Stapp to do Higher with his new band, not only because it was an amazing Creed song back in the day, but because they simply slaughtered it, it can't be done right without Tremonti anyways. Respect level for Stapp went down a notch today....

You forget Tremonti wrote all the music for Creed. Just listen to Alter Bridge, the guitar is awesome. Tremonti was responsible for the Creed sound. Anyone could write lyrics over them, like Stapp. Stapp has a unique voice, but he's not writing guitar. I like the band Stapp plays with just cause they are from Houston where I'm from, and are actually awesome without Stapp. And where's Stapp been in the last two years?

Scott Stapp has always been relatively good on live peformances, not as much when he was on the medications for his back during the weathered tour but here he sounds very good. The band he is playing with doesn't play the song like Creed, it's because they didn't write the music, even so, Creed-Scott Stapp= Not Creed and Creed-Band members=Not Creed, Creed is all of them together. Though Scott sounds very good solo. All power to him.
