I admit I went too far with the hating. I also think Cohen's going too far by likening truthers to Holocaust deniers. But generally speaking, truthers disgust me.
There are some oddities re 9/11 but not enough to prove that the Bush administration was behind it. Tell this to a truther and you are likely to be yelled at and insulted. They are unreasonable and obnoxious. Even Robert Fisk says the same thing.
As Cohen points out it is up to the truthers to prove us wrong, not vice versa.

I'm not talking about the original questioners who are entitled to question the justification of the Iraq War. Personally I think overthrowing Saddam was wise no matter the cost. Others, after the mess that was of the post-war phase, would be justified in questioning if that had been a good idea after all. Since then most Iraqi insurgents have decided to support the US led government and only a rump are still fighting it out.

The UN called on Iraq in resolution after resolution to comply with weapons inspectors and ran into a brick wall.
The truth is that neither the Americans, Europeans, Russians or Chinese had any idea whether Saddam had huge stockpiles of weapons or no weapons at all.
The only way to know for sure or to make sure there was no possibility of Saddam using WMD was to invade Iraq.
Saddam could have avoided war as President Gaddafi of Libya did by opening up his WMD program to inspection.

Saddam seized power and the arms he bought from the USA constituted less than 5% of all the arms sold to Iraq during his war with Iran and afterward.
When will you morons based your 'beliefs' on something other than lies? Look up the facts. No American support for his takeover and the bulk of his arms came from Russia, China and France.

For those who don't know Mr Cohen comes from an incredibly well-to-do left-wing British family who have apparently disowned him because of his support for the Iraq War (maybe he cost them a few quid).
The Nuremberg Tribunal found that journalists are responsible for the expected outcomes of their propaganda campaigns. Which would mean that Mr Cohen is every bit as responsible for the over 1 million dead in Iraq as are Messrs Bush and Blair.
