Regarding his voice, on this night he was having issues with the sound and was constantly making gestures towards stage left. If you watch the videos you will see him a few times making gestures and walking over to talk to someone probably one of the sound techs. I was there sounded way better in person trust me ;-)

Well, thing is, I don`t think Dave's voice sounds that bad now. It was just more powerful then... And I think tenor-like voices are harder to mantain than baritone ones.

I remem I was sitting in the nose bleeds during this show, and everytime David approached the mic it seemed that he was sitting on a stool. This tour seemed cliche, but man it was awesome to see David alive and well, it was sureal.

I agree, he was amazing on stage during the Angel tour. Even compared to the World Violation tour, he's much more confident now. Maybe it's because he's older and now feels like he fits into his skin or something. But yeah, the Singles tour was about getting back out there and he made no secret of the fact that touring terrified him. His voice was amazing, though.

I first went to see DM live in '84. To me they have always been great live, mainly because of Dave and his voice, moves and stage presence, but i have noticed that since the Devotional Tour his dancing has not been as'exciting'. If you watch him perform this track on that tour, his spinning with the microphone at the start was fantastic! Wether its getting older thats made him calmer, or not being 'high' on drugs i dont know,will love him always though!

If you pay close attention to all the different video of this band since their inception, you will see Andy playing the instruments. However, there are select times when I think he doesn't actually play and parts. He is the man though. Regardless of one's musical talent, if Matrin were my best friend, I would have been in the band also. Andy probably has the most valuable pair of pointer fingers in the business.
