What kills him? His momentum goes from 0 to whatever the mass of your car at speed transfers to him in an instant, that right there is what kills him. Very sudden change in momentum. Whether a driver can react at 25, 50, 100 and how far away the kid jumps in front of the car is what determines if the kid gets hit, not what kills him. Kid jumps 1 foot in front of car going 25... HIT. Kid jumps 220 feet in front of car at 50, shouldn't hit, THAT's 3 seconds of reaction time to jump lanes.

At higher speeds, more driver reaction ability is required. That leads to driver error for the collision, but that's not what we're discussing. Speed didn't kill anyone. If you can't handle that speed and you royally fuck up and crash, doing constant X speed doesn't kill you, doing X to 0 in an instant does... sudden stop.
How you get to the sudden stop doesn't matter, it's the stop that kills you. Hence why "Speed hasn't killed anyone, suddenly coming to a stop, that's what gets you" is true

yes but the rate of speed you are travelling at is the main factor...if youre travelling at a rate of 15 mph and come to a sudden stop does that kill you?? no going at a rate of 150mph and coming to a sudden stop does that kill you?? yes hitting a person at 10mph does that kill him most likely no maybe he'll be a bit hurt but death?? unlikely...trying doing that at 80mph or above that'll kill him

No, because we don't hit shit stopping instantaneously. You shouldn't be hitting people at 10mph anyway unless you seriously suck that much at driving. Speed don't kill anyone, if you hit them but that's hitting them. I can do 100 right next to you as long as you don't get hit. Speed don't kill, by definition it's just distance/time

speed is the deciding factor as to whether or not you live...yes speed alone wont kill anyone but the speed you are travelling when you hit something is the main factor whether or not you will survive the impact....

1. It's not speed, it's (Delta) Speed, change of speed in an impact.
2. It's how fast you do #1
3. 1&2 apply if you actually hit. It's not speed's fault you hit, it's yours. So drive fast and don't hit shit or drive slow and plow everything. Either way you should live.

Actually it was the steering wheel going through his chest that killed the guy. Just my experience with drunk drivers, going to fast. Air bags are ineffective at those speeds.

i don't know about US but here it's no point running away from the police on the highway unless you have a nuke in your trunk because you have to pass the toll booths when you exit the highway and the cops don't even have to catch you they just wait for you on the exit...

Well, the limit is about 160 metres, for 1G (sports car) brakes. Extrapolating the highway code stopping distances you get 120 feet (THINK) + 720 feet (BRAKE) = 840 feet

TV is to blame, immoral governments setting bad examples(guantanamo bay, iraq, afganistan, lies), making cannabis illegal so smokers get exposed to hard drugs, (90% reduction in new adicts of hard drugs in holland in 1st year of decriminalisation), society only cares about itself.
I reckon most religious folk r only good for fear of being punished.
USA has right idea for jails, in UK the trivial offenders seem to get punished more.

I been smoking pot for as long as I can remember and havent done any other drugs. Same with all my friends. Well I guess I really depends on the person. The herb doesnt cause the gateway effect, its the illegality that does, a person sells herb and smak for example, folk get tempted, in holland during 1st year of decriminalisation a 90% reduction in new hard drug addicts seeking help was noted!

It moved from "friendly" spareroom production to massive growth facilities. It's now exported more than regular vegetables and that comes brings up the criminal rate by a lot

At first it was simply like 5 plants in the basement, which is allowed. Now ppl fill up half their house with hundreds of them, and sell them for profits. The biggest facility ever contained over 1.5 million pot plants in a vegetable greenhouse.
Abroad it's worth much more than here, so that alone is a reason to export it.

lol they "steal" water, common we're surrounded by it, plus if they're harvasting electicity from the city ten they're probably payign for it, unless they're using a generator, thus still paying for it. how is murder a factor? its totally legal over there, therefore theres no need for it to go underground. here in canada its only decriminalized and there is a bit of crime in order to distribute it, but still hardly anyone ever dies over it.

They use loads of gas/electricity/water from their own house, but use equipment such as magnets to stop any meters that register their usage. That's basically the same as stealing it.
And serious crime, mostly murder and extortion just maybe, maybe could form a factor because it's pretty expensive and susceptible to fraud.

So what you are saying is we should legalize it all? Stealing water/electricity is seperate offenses unrelated to drug use. But obviously if they are doing one thing that'll send them to prison, other minor offenses are meaningless.
The fact of the matter is, this "war on drugs" and drug persecution has accomplished PRECISELY THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT IT "INTENDED"

What I'm saying is that legalizing isn't a fully complete policy on how to handle it.
Possessing or using the drugs in decent amounts is legal, but nobody gives a shit about how it gets there in the first place.
Here, marijuana is "legal" but you will be busted if you grow hundreds of them in your house. There is only one legal grow facility for medical purposes, so everybody is still forced to go underground.
If you're gonna legalize it, at least do the same for the production.
