Foxes are natural born scavengers. They either hunt animals smaller than they are (unlike wolves, who hunt large animals in hunting packs) or they scavenge things where they find them. That means digging through your trash at night to steal scraps.

It's not destroying his survival abilities. It's just nature - adapt and survive.

Soon, many more animals will have to get used to the fact that humans are the dominant species, and they can live as symbiotes, or unfortunately, be destroyed.

Feeding a few apples/mangos/peach is ok, giving them a whole bag makes them think any human will give them food. Be careful not to feed too much =D

As cute as this is, you really shouldn't feed wild animals. He won't become dependant upon you, but he might losse his fear of humans and be more likey to approach them. If he gets too close to the wrong person, he may get shot or have animal controll called on him.

No, they have a point. Feeding the wildlife is a bad thing. On the other hand though, he's just giving the wildlife a snack, which is different. It just becomes bad when the animal doesn't need to do what comes naturally any more. The way Drew is doing it though is the fox comes by for a snack, not a meal. As long as it still knows how to get by in the wild it should be fine.

I think it's more of a issue of him getting used to being around humans and expecting food from them. This may cause animal control to be called if someone freaks out because a fox is running up to them. I don't have all the info so I might be wrong but that's why I never feed wild animals and the few times I have I just set the food out when they were not around and walked a bit away so I could see but not directly feed the animals.
