Do try to record without nightvision also which can show us different colors in visible spectrum. Or if you have another camera (seems unlikely) you can use it seperately/simultaneously without nightvision. A large objective lens can give good sensitivity in low light (visible spectrum).

Not really lens flare. Note the beam first appears just as some out of focus object enters the field of view from the right as she pans. It's actually diffraction from this object near the camera. Try shooting through a curtain shear sometime you'll get 'laser beams' shooting off in all directions. You could also try placing a fine mesh window screen directly in front of the lens and get 4 laser beams shooting off. Try it it'll work.

If you notice the smaller higher up light trails behind the main body, in relation to it's direction, which is characteristic of a helicopter with it's tail rotor being lit up. And the "shape change" is just the order of the lights on the probably-helicopter moving in front/behind of one another as it hovers and rotates it's position. Also, you say it's displaying a "fake airplane"? I'm pretty sure aliens would be smart enough to use a fake helicopter when displaying a stationary hovering craft.

Due to correlations in the light beam, brightness of the object, and the presence of fluctuation prior to the beam's appearance. I would say the 'object' is the termination of the beam on an atmospheric disturbance... But i don't know, Just trying the be a helpful skeptic.

This is a helicopter using an infrared beam to search for someone or something on the ground. Airplanes and helicopters have strobes on them and that explains the flashing light of the flying object.

The "laser beam" is pulsing in phase with the object so it's plausible to be a optical illusion i e there is no "laser beam". The light itself could be a aircraft. I've seen unexplainable orange lights in the sky in coordinated movement. This, looks like your standard human made aircraft through a night vision lens.

Great footage, nice and steady, doing all the right zooming in and very honest.
But a pulsing light = man made device. 100% it's a Helicopter, especially with the focused search light. You can even see the tail light. It's probably looking for a criminal or poacher. The changing shape of the object is the camera lens and focusing. It happens on most digital cameras. You can also see a ground light, lighting up the trees.
It's really good footage though, but it is explainable.

lol..its not a laser beam people.Its just the high intensity 500,000 candlepower landing light.Normally activated about 3miles from the airstrip.The flashing effect of the beam is just artifact of the NV equip caused by the aircrafts strobe flooding the CCD with light.Thereby washing out the beam briefly untill the camera readjusts its parameters.
i work in this industry. i assure you i am 10,000% sure this is a helicopter platform using a lazer target designator. and it doesnt cost billions to fly a cab.

Not really lens flare. Note the beam first appears just as some out of focus object enters the field of view from the right as she pans. It's actually diffraction from this object near the camera. Try shooting through a curtain shear sometime you'll get 'laser beams' shooting off in all directions. You could also try placing a fine mesh window screen directly in front of the lens and get 4 laser beams shooting off. Try it it'll work.

One of the dumbest people on the planet. She says search beam because that's what it is. It's not a laser beam folks, that's why! It's an artifact illusion of the night mode. I have the same beams in mine from helicopters. And the stupid swirling is not swirling at all. If you notice the smaller higher up light trails behind the main body, in relation to it's direction, which is characteristic of a helicopter with it's tail rotor being lit up. And the "shape change" is just the order of the lights on the probably-helicopter moving in front/behind of one another as it hovers and rotates it's position. Also, you say it's displaying a "fake airplane"? I'm pretty sure aliens would be smart enough to use a fake helicopter when displaying a stationary hovering craft.

Due to correlations in the light beam, brightness of the object, and the presence of fluctuation prior to the beam's appearance. I would say the 'object' is the termination of the beam on an atmospheric disturbance... But i don't know, Just trying the be a helpful skeptic.

At this range it should have been possible to make out the helicopter/ aircrafts fuselage/wing profile under NVG as the IR anti-coll beacon dims between flashes,

This is a helicopter using an infrared beam to search for someone or something on the ground. Airplanes and helicopters have strobes on them and that explains the flashing light of the flying object.

The "laser beam" is pulsing in phase with the object so it's plausible to be a optical illusion i e there is no "laser beam". The light itself could be a aircraft. I've seen unexplainable orange lights in the sky in coordinated movement. This, looks like your standard human made aircraft through a night vision lens.

Looks too fast to be a Heli. We have patrol planes down here (Flown by the Civil air corps i think) and they have a searchlight so it could have been one, but either way you're right. :D

Great footage, nice and steady, doing all the right zooming in and very honest.
But a pulsing light = man made device. 100% it's a Helicopter, especially with the focused search light. You can even see the tail light. It's probably looking for a criminal or poacher. The changing shape of the object is the camera lens and focusing. It happens on most digital cameras. You can also see a ground light, lighting up the trees.
It's really good footage though, but it is explainable.

lol..its not a laser beam people.Its just the high intensity 500,000 candlepower landing light.Normally activated about 3miles from the airstrip.The flashing effect of the beam is just artifact of the NV equip caused by the aircrafts strobe flooding the CCD with light.Thereby washing out the beam briefly untill the camera readjusts its parameters.
