  • Girl at 6:46 is taking a photo using a camera with flash cubes-

  • I don't know about you, but this feels right.

  • I was singing the "Extra" gum commercial. Wow, can't believe I still know the words. lol

  • I read that the colorful, daring, decadent 80's is attributed to a good economy. The better the economy the more money people have, the more money the beter people feel about themselves. The better they feel, the more daring and colorful their get-ups will be. People that are insecure because of finances or otherwise tend to dress in drab, flat or bland colors. What are your opinions on this?

  • How are the narrators voices the exact same today?

  • @RiverAccorsi They're not. Most of the announcing greats from the 80's are dead.

  • Joyce Summers has come back from the grave and is telling me that AT&T is GOOD (have no idea what AT&T is but still).

  • i was born in 1999, but the 80's probably better then now. guess its so epic an entire channel was dedicated to it :D

  • @mowiarty maybe not epic, but it was a very cool time to grow up.

  • I saw captain eo at disney world

  • The Generra clothes dude, has on 4 (count em) 4 shirts, thats got to weigh a lot... I think the chick does too... I am from the 80's I dont remember anyone wearing that many shirts around my area lol!

  • 7:44 is my new favorite sound.

  • wow at red lobster they still do this except there priced from 9.95 instead of 6

  • i bet those underwear inspectors rubbed the mannequins packages

  • 80s was great music and tv would like to relive it

  • No, this wasn't 25 years ago, this was just yesterday

  • that trio from red lobster actually looked pretty damn good!

  • at&t is the wrong choice.

  • at 6:49 why is he holding a duck

  • so this what was playing when i was playing with my thundercats and other toys

  • love the weight watchers commercila at 2:43 super funny. Made me want to try it. Makes me hungry when I see meals in a box for some reason

  • im a '82 baby and growing up i never thought twice at how goofy these commercials are,but now that i look them up on utube in present time..i actually have a good laugh at them. love watching other remembering the 80's vids too(toys, cartoons, etc)

  • BEST DECADE EVER!!!

  • Going Ape...Tony Danza's peak performance LOL

  • to bad I wasn't around when these commercials were out.

  • @marshmallowkandykid - i feel very old now. ;D

  • dang commercials were way better in the 80's

  • omg you could eat a Red Lobster trio for $6.95!

  • @davideyeify lol now days you cant even get a trio at mcD for that price

  • @AndyinMTL lol that's the truth! and how much is that trio at Red Lobster now? 21.95? All of these bring back good times, before -gasp- computer mass media ads in your face 24/7! Thank gosh for DVRs!! Fracking car commercials my gawd.

  • Everybody had a jingle back in the day haha a very catchy decade indeed!

  • I completely forgot about Sticklets! What happened to those?

  • I was only 3 days old when this aired

  • For some reason I felt like I was waiting for a TV show to come back on.

  • everyone's dancing when they drink Hi C and eat sticklets? well then i need some too!

  • The 80s were totally awesome. I mean I think someone already said this, but now all they have is weight commercials all the time, victoria secret , an pills... these times like 80s and so forth) Are a reminder how good of a time the 80s were.

  • @DarkMoonGeneral Of course bro, everything from like the 60s-mid to late 90's were great. Then somewhere between the late 90s and now we seemed to have messed up biggg and it sucks so much that we come online to look at how awesome they were lol. If you look close you can even see some fashion from the 80s are even coming back.

  • Yes. Long live the '80's. A time in my life where big things happened. Wrestling was also a heck of a lot better then.

  • @abcstardust

I couldnt agree more, esp with the Wrestling thing:)

  • But the "stronger" waistband undies leave treadmarks on your skin by end of day. Gimme those Fruity Looms instead, if still true.

  • I LOVE HOW EVERYONE IS SINGING CHEERFULLY

  • Glad I was a kid in that era, rather than asking my mom what erectile dysfunction is after watching Viagra commercials

  • I remember the HIllshire farm one!

  • My generation :) I love the 80s. Born right in the middle. ) These are great:)

  • Everything just seemed better in the 80s and even 90s. I wonder if in the future people will look back to 2000-2010 and remember it as a great decade or if they will just see it as being depressing as most of us do now.

  • This gave me the itch for some grape nuts...

  • Weight Watchers before the point system! LOL!

  • AT&T in the 80's, lol!!! Way before cell phones and the 4G Network

  • OMG..I getting emotional! O remember being a little girl watching these commercials! Lol

  • The guy on the AT&T commercial looks like a cyborg.

  • what no peanut butter boppers?

  • these jingles are so catchy

  • @natalie61863 i get paid $8 an hour today, but i dont give a crap if i lived in the 80's for 2 an hr! even bums in the 80s were happier than middle class people today

  • @1989hirokazu We do live in miserable times these days. Everything seems so negative and dull. What the heck happened?

  • @1989hirokazu

Well Minimum wage was about $3.20 an hour. Today a DVD player is about 60 bucks, but back then there were only VCR's which were about $300 each lol. There was no Internet and most people didn't have Cable t.v.

Yet as you suggested, we were just far happier than people are today. There was just the sense that life was rich and had meaning, things mattered then. It was a completely different world. This is a very perceptive comment from someone not around at the time.

  • 4:38 I think this guy needs a few more shirts to put on. lol

  • these are all terrible in the best way \... have to lol

  • @McGheexx its so damn funny

  • Yes, and no websites either.

  • damm a red lobster meal for 695.....

  • @Llashtica2 yeah and Minimum wage was like $2 an hour...so it's all relative.

  • lol, I remember the chicken nugget wars, lol

  • Lol I want to Epcot this summer and saw Captain Eo!

  • @RadiantSilverlighter i've seen it as well and it's just as close to getting back to 1986 without the need of a time machine that is comprised of a hot tub, along with the consumption some super strong energy drink from Russia which is outlawed anywhere else in the world.

  • I remember those weird Generra commercials. Lol I think I even had some Generra clothes

  • we dvr shows these days so we can skip through commercials but yet we look up commericals on youtube.

  • @ItchyGoomie thats weird.......but in a cool way!!!

  • who cares if cereal has sugar and salt in it? As long as it tastes better that shredded wheat.

  • did anyone else see how that person's hand snapped back when it touched the chicken tenders? lol

  • THE BEST WAY TO EAT CEREAL IS WITH THE END OF A BANANA.

  • I just went to Red Lobster, and I wish half of the items were just $6.95. And a kids trio for $1.95. The prices nowadays are too damn high!

  • Lol, sure do remember those days like they were yesterday. Graduated high school in 1987, and yes I remember all the yuppies with their sweaters draped over themselves. These type of commercials are great, plus, back then NO INFO-MERCIALS!!! Ahh, the good old days.

  • tony danza <3

  • I was born in 82 remember some of this stuff crazy times yet commercials lot better back then. More family oriented.

  • fruit of the loom ( :

  • I want to see that Going Ape movie.

  • Wow and not one commercial about pills that will kill you.

  • SO MUCH SINGING!

  • Alyssa Milano did another Hi-C commercial, one for a flavor called Candy Apple Cooler. I have it on tape. It's no doubt in your collection online somewhere, I just haven't found it yet. lol

  • I remember most of these commercials from when my dad taped DTV Romancin back in '86. Good times.

  • Lynn Redgrave was so pretty here. May she RIP

  • I wish i had a time machine and go back to the 80's :/

  • smurfs...LOL

  • 6.95 for red lobsters!! i wish i lived in the 80s

  • Isn't it amazing how we hate to watch commercials today, yet go out of our way to watch ones from the 80s? I was born in 87 but there's something so wholesome about seeing how TV was presented back then. Makes me sad I didn't get to live out that era.

  • @FreakinSweet1987 Inorite I was born in 199new ass 3 it sucks, should of been born 10 years sooner:(

  • they hella burned mcdonalds at 4:20

  • @1989hirokazu NOW Mickey D's uses white meat in their nuggets

  • @ 1:31 WOW! I remember when we had to pay for long distance calls inside the US, I would you to cringe when we opened the phone bill and get that, who called Philly? Who called Ohio?? I said 1 hour not 3!!! Now because of flat rates, no one even changes their number when they move from Washington State to Florida.

  • LOL! I remember the Burger King boxes

  • "Ain't nothing like the real thing baby"... sung by people who aren't the original singers of the original song. LOL! :)

  • 0:07 why did the girl have the deep voice??? lol

  • @831crank Why do you think a kid with short hair and suspenders is a girl? LOL

  • @831crank that was a boy

  • AT&T-- "I'll credit you for that call." YEAH SURE, RIGHT! Damn, this was a long time ago! Lol...

  • Do they still make Sticklets gum?

  • lol.. the Extra sugarfree gum commercial said ''wont promote tooth decay''... now they say ''whitens teeth''

  • you know a great way to save money on long distance phone calls? BUY A CELLPHONE! you just gotta wait 20 years :D

  • LOL the Generra Men commercial - he has a shirt, and over shirt, AND a jacket and STILL has a sweater thrown over his shoulders!

  • Lol. I miss the 80s! The commercial industry was DRIPPING with sarcastic enthusiasm.

  • Hi-C...crack in a bottle

  • $6.95 @ Red Lobster nowadays only gets u breadsticks and water....

  • Imagine if you woke up tomorrow morning and it was 1983 all over again. I think that would be awesome!

  • I remember having those Hi-C juice boxes at school. There was no juice in a bag yet...those pain in the ass to open Capri-Sun juices!

  • Diet foods barely taste good today, I can't imagine how they tasted back then.

  • Love the shoes at 3:19. Hilarious!

  • OMG!!! $6.95 for three trio dishes at RED LOBSTER???? Why couldn't I have grown up in the 80s??? Well...I kinda did. I grew at the tail end of the 80s (I was born '84)

  • I miss the 80s. It was a great time to be a kid. Wish I could relive the decade except as a teenager.

  • I love how 80s commercials werent afraid to compare another brand..Fruit of the Loom got called out lmao....they dont even do that anymore..if they do they alter the name or just call "other name brand" is it illegal to diss another brand in commercials now or what?

  • @2short99 no it still happens but the company doing it has to pay to use the name of another company in a comparison

  • @2short99

it isn't illegal, but there were so many lawsuits for slander/false statements in the late 80's that it is rare now. Most businesses just figure it's better to spare themselves the hassle.

  • @2short99 Even if it weren't illegal, I wouldn't want to "say" the name of my competitor in a commercial, as it actually gives them inadvertant advertising, positive or not.

  • Dude for real, todays commercials are all about weight watchers, condoms, pills, shit like that. The 80s was a better time, all around. The 60s 70s and 80s, infact. Real kick ass music with real rockers and true artists, things actually mattered, things wern't so expensive, no slutty bimbos and ghetto ass pussys in music, etc. This decade is shit but it will be better soon, I believe that cause what goes round comes around. You just got to make the most of it right now and long live 60s 70s 80s

  • windows into the past, as close to a time machine as you can get.....

  • Captain Equal Opportunity?

  • @MysticAlucard15 The name Captain EO was derived from Eos, the Greek goddess of dawn.

  • Back then, there were no commercials for Paxil, Cialis, etc. We were more satisfied and content back then. I love those times.

  • Damn, Hanes called the fuck out of Fruit of the Loom. They didn't even try to hide behind the phrase "the other leading brands" like advertisers today.

  • The80's were the best time of my life. Damn I miss it.

  • Damn I miss the 80's, The best time of my life.

  • @High5Brah or cheerios.

  • I've been pissed off at Hi-C ever since they discontinued Ecto Cooler. >:C

  • Everyone who appeared in 80s commercials was having such great time.

  • god I swear I was born in the wrong era...I love everything from the 80s xD I had to be born in '91... :/

  • @Crystasorrow yeah.. me in 93^^but at least I could watch 90s cartoon when I was younger instead of this 2000s crap cartoons... but these commercials really rock long live the 80s xD

  • LOL the 80s was certainly a fun decade :P

  • $7 for Red Lobster dinner?! holy shit-o

  • That Generra clothes add is using the Obsession mindbender technique!

  • HILLSHIRE FARM GO MEAT!

Man, I was born 14 years too early.

  • Grape nuts is nasty!!

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I WANT MY 80'S BACK NOW.........

  • born in the wrong generation : /

  • The 23 people who dislike 80s commercials like pharmaceutical commercials and infomercials.

  • God gum commercials, they have always seemed too over the top. It's gum, not a way of life.

  • All the rich kids got Hi-C and Fruit Roll Ups, while I had to watch them eat and drink. :( Very sad childhood. LOL

  • Thank you SO much for putting these up! They really take me back

  • Q: What would you do if someone added sugar and salt to your cereal?

A: Turn into the Incredible Hulk and push them away, obviously.

  • #6...LOL

  • "More cold weather on the way....details on Nightcast. "

    Nice hair !

  • Tighty whiteys!lol

  • did i just watch almost nine minutes of commercials, and not see one pharmaceutical commercial? AMAZING!

  • @gilmour509 and no practically naked supermodel selling hamburgers! :)

  • It's awkward that those Hanes briefs still have the same waistband. I know because I have to wash at least 7 pairs of those every week ;)

  • OMG! GRAPENUTS

  • those generra clothes sure lasted forever.

  • The operator in the phone company commercial at 1:42 played Buffy's mom, Joyce Summers.

  • Thanks for the post! The 80's rocked !

  • It's Frozen Fresh!!!

  • Holy CRAP! Captain EO with Micheal Jackson! I really remember seeing that the only time I ever got the chance to go to Disney World. Amazing.

  • I was seven years old when these aired, and I vaguely remember a few of them. Who is the woman at 1:40 in the AT&T commercial? Also, does anyone remember a Hillshire (?) Farms commercial that had the song "Our house is a very very very fine house" playing in the BG? I could swear I saw a smoked sausage commercial as a kid (around 1984-85) with that song, so whenever I hear it, it reminds me of smoked sausage.

  • I almost can't contain my horror that people were born past the 70's. You can actually be born after the millennium and be responding! Holy shit! I still feel 10 years old but I'm a fossil with a family of my own.

  • @florida995 I completely agree ... I'm fifteeen and my family worships Elvis, I listen to Led zeppelin, the beatles, acdc, guns n roses, 80s madonna, elvis, franky goes to hollywood, etc. and I watch all of the 80s movies like the lost boys, etccc. such a good time that I wish I livedd ha. I even dressed 80s up until a few months ago with the big hair, high tops, high waisted jeans, etc. I believe the 60s 70s and 80s will always have its place!

  • im glad i was born in 1984!

  • Thumbs up if you keep waiting for the show to start.

  • Really funny that I actually thought they were saying Coffee when they actually said "Hi-C". Eh, sound similar to me. Well, I do drink Coffee, probably why.

  • I was 17 in 1986. It was a great time to be a teenager

  • @Dantallus9000

I was born in 1986, its almost my birthday.

  • @Dantallus9000 I was 4 watching my favorite movie RAD

  • The commercials seemed more funny back then, now they make us change the channel.

  • Damn, everything was so up-beat and colorful in alot of those commercials, like everyone was SOOOOOOO glad about the product they were singing and dancing about, although they probably loathed the stuff themselves, lol!

  • Even though I wasnt born in the 80's, I luv it! I wish I could of been there

  • @Pinkcello5 I feel ur pain! U missed a great (albeit weird) decade, lol!

  • @Pinkcello5 Me too.

  • @crazyworld1234567890 Wanna make a time machine? haha

  • wow a sea food dinner for 7 buks now its 15-20 for the same dish

  • i cant believe how deep that black kids voice is in the first video lol

  • Burger King's Chicken Tenders were shit. I said they tasted like rubber. If I had been alive in 1986 (my brother in Newfoundland and Labrador liked watching The Smurfs), I would have wanted to watch "Smurf Quest". But I wasn't born for a year at that time.

  • @MattJFisher Lol,well, the McD's chicken mcnuggets were made from "chicken parts!" It wasn't until years later that they decided to adverstise them as being made with "actual all white meat!" And to think, for years many of us have been crapping up our systems loading up in that junk...God help us! Don't go any where near that stuff today, "real" white meat or not!
