  • i wish they had just made crossbone into an anime after this

  • F91 should be done as a whole series as it was originally intended to be. Just give it up to date detailing and animation.

  • This song is so emo IMO

  • two things to ask ok does anyone know how funny the name of f91 gundam is cause its seabook 2 who here thinks seabook is cooler then osu ( ps i hate v gundam and its pilot) well thats it

  • @zetagundam888 seabook is the coolest, and uso is a little B**ch, but i like the Crossbone Gundam more than F91

  • @Ven0mousDark Dude, Yuu Kajima is better.

  • @Ven0mousDark

    wut.

    Uso is awesome.

  • @MegaloSaro Do you know that Christianity is correct? The world around us reveals that G-d DOES exist, and the historical evidence reveals that Jesus Christ really did come to this earth and there is overwhelming evidence that Jesus Christ really did physically rise from the dead. Jesus is coming again and the signs of the end times that were foretold in the Bible are coming to pass.

  • @marionetemanJ

    1) I don't care

    2) Even if Christianity is correct, I wouldn't support a god who committed genocide multiple times. I'd try and kill him and then fuck his corpse

    3) What does that have to do with Gundam?

  • so what do you guys think of gundam 00?

  • @icu445566 I thought 00 was good when if first started, the end of the first season was great. But season 2 I found slipped into mediocrity, failing to make you care about the characters, even returning ones. The only redeeming quality was the music and the battles, but you had a hard time getting invested in the latter because you can't get invested in the characters. The movie was the same, only with a what the F%@$ ending.

  • @icu445566 The first season of 00 is some of the best Gundam I have ever seen. The second season of Gundam 00 is full of magic bullshit that ruined the series for me. Once Setsuna could teleport his Gundam and read minds, I lost interest. The battles were neat though, and didn't use fucking recycled animation like SEED did.

  • @icu445566 Season 1 was better than average, but season 2 was sub-par. I liked that S.1 had the nuts to kill off characters and fuck people over, but I really didn't like the homo parts(men giving haircuts on the beach, you know what I mean.) I thought that S.1 ended pretty well, and that they didn't need a S.2. So it really pissed me off that they made a S.2. Somehow they squeaked by, even after writing themselves into a corner at the end of S.1. Honestly, a identical brother? Awful.

  • @ryunkasa And the movie finally ruins it, top animation and art but worst story and characters.

  • @ryunkasa More Gundam Meisters needed to die. It was a little bit of the overpowered syndrome again. CB devastating their opponents. *It was like 4 MS vs 100s of enemies*.

I also didn't like how Ali Al-Saachez and Mr. Bushido were screwed out of properly ending their feuds with Setsuna F. Seiei.

But on another note, UC Gundam is vastly superior to the rest. There is some good Gundam out there, but UC just immerses me.

  • @ryunkasa you know i thought the same about the brother and i had believed first that it would be the girl who had a crush on Lockon that would replace him as the gundam meister. which i still would have been a bit better than pulling out an identical brother whom survived that attack.

  • Oh well, at least Tomino got a shot at doing some of what he planned with F-91 by doing Crossbone.

  • KILL EVERYTHING! FUCK THE PRETTY GIRLS AND PUT IN A SPACE NAZIS, gundam was never suppose to be some money grabber, its GUNDAM!

  • it would be cool if they make another attempt to make F91 a series like it was intended to be

  • somehow it always seem to me that seabook is related to kamille,

the hair and eye colour and so on

thinking he's the son of kamille's cusin?

  • @despairedboy Could be but I don't know.

  • from what i've seen from the movie (story, chars,settings,mecha,etc...)

F91 probably were will be the best or near the best Gundam Series.

i can imagine that...it has the everything to do that.....

however this is not the original opening.... i have it , i found it in youtube but in japanese.... because it has scenes not featured in the movie.. try it....

  • i think 0083 is only the best

  • @MrJusannichi was for me, until watched Zeta and Victory

  • It's Clear That This OP is a fanmade, because all the clips from the movie,..

in Anime or Gundam , The Opening and Endings always have clips not included in the series.

  • Crossbone Gundam anime please.

I think it needs to happen.

  • I suspect that these are fake solely for the reason that almost every Gundam OP doesn't use footage used in the actual show. Also, there is no space walking with the back turned to the camera.

However, that doesn't change the fact that this is freaking awesome.

  • whos the guy that looks like a darth vader / iron man

  • @ChronicEye

    Iron Mask

  • they should remake f91 into a series anyway fuck it why not

  • there is no "F" & "91" logo on the robot shoulder.....

  • Also, I drew it. I have both the drawing, and packaging.

  • My first taste of the Gundam univervse was Toonami's showing of Gundam Wing in the late '90s. I bought a transformer toy called 'Sky Garry'. On the packaging, it had drawings of 'gundam-like' mecha. I didn't recognize any of the mecha, so I figured it was some kind of gundam rip off. Now that I watch this, I recognize the F-91 gundam as the same one on the pack. Same design, and markings.

  • damn I loved this movie and so wish it was a series...I loved the Bio computer and its ability to make after images =D

  • I wish they'd made a TV series. The movie was one of the most disappointing experiences of my life.

  • F91 would've made such a fantastic series. It's just the refreshing reboot UC needed, not another Zeon uprising like all the others.

  • I know that Crossbone Gundam brings closure to this movie but since it took place 10 years later makes me wish that F-91 was a full series. Like cmon it just ends with the Crossbone Vanguard stating victory, making the cosmo babylonia war over just like that? Why didn't the federation do something or did they just not care. I know they were becoming weak at this point but the movie ends at a weird moment that is all.

  • Maybe itl be done if it gets enough support from us.

  • that's what you get when you mess with me

  • Maybe they should redo this in a serie now. It does deserve it.

  • Wait so Gundam F91 wasn't a full series, which means that it didn't have as much episodes as other gundam series?

  • It wasn't a series at all - just one movie. Its leftover plot threads were resolved in a manga or novel, if I'm not mistaken.

  • what was the name of the movie and how long was it?

  • Just "Gundam F91". It was about two hours long, I think.

  • okay

  • yes, the story was resolved in a 6 volume manga series called "Crossbone Gundam", written by Gundam F91 creator Tomino himself. I guess he also likes providiing his stories with closure.

It's a good story too. I wish it was animated as OVA series.

Takes place 10 years after the events of the movie.

  • @RedBolt7 It was meant to be a full series, but production complications stalled things, leading to F91 being condensed into a movie.

  • @Southoz616 aw man that sucks

  • This song is full of so much win it hurts.

I wish they'd make an OVA out of this and crossbone. Hopefully unicorn will ignite people's wish for UC gundam again.

  • I already want my UC! Give it to me! I demand it!

  • @RXdash78 It has. Because of Unicorn, Sunrise have decided to make The Origin into an Anime. So basically First Gundam will be getting a remake.

As for F91 getting the shot it deserves, it's really all up to the fans. You can buy Unicorn or The Origin and all it'll do is show Bandai that people will pay to see UC Gundam. Only by demonstrating specific interest in F91 and vocalising that interest, will Bandai give F91 the shot it deserves. If they do, however, Tomino has to be involved.

  • F91 was fair, as people have said it would have been much better as a full series. Perhaps this was the intended TV opening? Still a freat song, though.

  • Problem is that it's some 20-25 seconds too long and the content is quite irregular.

The footage is entirely second-hand from the movie, which seems to mean that it was after the animation of the movie, which would be a ways into development and far after point that the makers would know they weren't getting a full series.

Maybe this is a just an animation made by the staff as a "could be" scenario, the OP to the Gundam series that never was.

  • They don't do art like this anymore

  • the opening from Gundam F91 is the best of all

  • F91 would have been so much better as a series like tomino intended it to be

  • Indeed it would; it's still a good movie, however.

  • The success would of been on par with Zeta Gundam IMO perhaps even higher if Tomino played his cards right.

You know come to think of it there's no reason why Tomino can't get the current Sunrise team to F91 into a series. I mean sure you have Unicorn but F91 would look remarkable in HD.

  • I cannot help but agree; however, my only guess as to what could possibly stop Tomino from making F91 into a series is the possibility that the original cast is either retired or dead.

  • Imagine his after image in HD!!

  • total agree!

  • Same with the original Mobile Suit Gundam, even. You'd think Bandai would've learned long ago that Tomino knows what he's doing when it comes to making a Gundam series.

  • Tomino makes GOOD gundam. That doesn't necessarily equal profitable. Fukuda may be a terrible director, but seed and destiny likely brought in more raw profit for Bandai than the entirety of Tomino's work.

Seed and D were essentially just 22 minute gunpla commercials that were on occasion, incredibly fun to watch, but often super boring and lame. But he kept pumping out new gundams and new MNV for the kids to buy and more bishonen for girls to drool over.

  • seed is still acceptable, i can still take sum of the crap

Destiny is a different story.... i cried.

  • I can still watch destiny. Its got amazing music and when it doesn't use recycled footage, the battles are pretty awesome. The plot is dumb as all hell though. I compare fukuda gundam to the prequel star wars-pretty but dumb.

The awesome thing about having a dozen seperate universes is that if you don't like one, it doesn't have to matter.

  • Hey I liked Seed and Seed Destiny, but it's all opinionated really

  • @RXdash78 the new mech designs kinda suck I personaly prefer the old 80,s and 90,s desing(I build Gunpla)

  • i totally agree!!!seed & destiny really a letdown in terms of story or mech...

  • @MrJusannichi Gundam Seed had a story?

  • @daggerrun Nope, just some a lot of whiny emo wimps.

  • @daggerrun I think it was more a " Best Of UC" story

  • @henritje19 Really? Because I don't remember the UC Gundams being bogged down by a preachy story told by overly affirmative unlikable pretty boys? I kinda remember them being more a military strategy thing?

  • @daggerrun what I meant by that is that they took plots from the bedt the UC had to offer for example: experimental suits being stolen (0083) a giant space ship manned by kids (0079) etc.

  • @henritje19 No, no, I understand that, and I'm totally okay with them making Seed a remake but it should have just been a straight up remake. Instead what they did was take Endless Waltz and stretched it out over 50 some episodes, it got real old, real fast!

  • @daggerrun I agree anothr thing that bothered me is that the characther design looked kinda Bishie and generic the mechs also looked more like humans than mechs

  • @henritje19 I think RXdash78 said it best above! The bishoujo boys were done strictly for the fan girls! As for the mechs I think they made them look more humanoid to make Seed resemble a more successful anime called Evangelion!

  • @daggerrun except that Shinji was more awesomethen Kira yes he was a whimp buthe wasnt a fucking bishie

  • @henritje19 Of course that's a assuming you were able to interpret a narrative out of that horse shit they called storie. Seriously, there is only one episode of Gundam Seed, with about 40 different variants of that one episode.

Athrine and company want to blow up the white base,

    Kira and Athrine fight,

    Athrine runs away,

    Kira cries!

That's it, that the whole show, only until the last 12 or so episodes do they at least try to do something different but by then nobody gave a crap!

  • @daggerrun I stopped around EP10 and I,m sure Amuro Ray would be able to rip the ENTIRE cast a new oone in a GM

  • @henritje19 Amuro could take them on in a RB-79 Ball and still wouldn't be a fair fight!

  • @daggerrun Amuro can take them on in a NORMAL SUIT! (also known as a regular space suit) with two hands tied on his back

  • @RXdash78 I couldn't of said it any better myself. Gundam F-91 had SO MUCH potential as a awesome series. It kills me how Bandai basically screwed over the series. Every time I see F91 it makes me sad :(

  • @RXdash78 Seed and D werent so bad series , but they are like" Action-packed" Gundam serires rather than the Uc Gundam.... No gravity (a Ms fliying for minutes wtf? ) , Pilots skills are merely based in reflections unlike 0083 where they are based in how maneuverable are the piloted MS , UNTOUCHABLES character ( kira , athrun anyone? ) , OVERPOWERED gundams in comparision with the common MS , Kids piloting Ms like a toy , etc....

Anyway it has some very cool battles thought ...

  • @RXdash78 The reason Tomino's work didn't draw in as much profit as Fukuda's (keeping in mind that Gunpla sales have kept Bandai in business for decades) is simply because they were all pretty much made on a shoestring. You have to spend money to make money, They spent money on Tomino but not too much for it to be a risk if he failed.

UC Gundam can, and does, sell. Unicorn for example, is so popular they had to push back the latest Blu-Ray release to secure supply lines .

  • @RXdash78

Seed and Destiny were alright, which is pretty crap by Gundam standards. They were the worst but ironically they weren't bad. I'll be torn to pieces for this I'm sure but a sense of perspective is severely lacking in Gundam fandom.

  • @SiorafasNaCillini I see where you are coming from.

I think the main issue is lack of focus. Eachj one starts out as a remake of an early tomino show, which I would love....and then morphs halfway into its own thing. But the two halves don't mix well. Evenm destiny had some awesome ideas, like making the protagonist a villain, but that got sidetracked to bring in Kira.

ON a side note, even years later I STILL can't figure out the point of the justice gundam.

  • @SiorafasNaCillini SEED and Destiny weren't the worst Gundam series. In the very least they followed the real robot ideal, albeit very loosely. G Gundam is arguably the worst, because it went and turned Gundam into a super robot/Dragon Ball hybrid, thus straying far from the concept.

  • @RXdash78

but will it become a ever lasting legacy like the original series? of course not

i would worry more about how people see this show the future than about how much profit it makes. After all, ez profit can be made by having another show run at the same time

  • Indeed.

Although Crossbone Gundam isn't really a SUBSTITUTE for what F91 could have been, some parts of it really make me wonder what Tomino would have featured had F91 become a series. It would have been an awesome show..

  • well i fricken loved the movie

    maybe yes a bit rushed

but i felt it somehow was alot more mature than some of the others i've seen -although well i've yet to see Zeta and the very first one, probably cause im a silly bastard and I Really love the mobile suits in this series and ZZ haha i wish ZZ had been more sombre

  • You are right. F91 isn't as bad as some people say it is. Its pretty good considering its 13 episodes into 2 hours. ZZ is actually really good and gets as serious as Zeta once it hits episode 20. I'd say its on the same level as Zeta at that point. If you liked episode 20+ you'll love Zeta :D

  • i really hope they make crossbone into an anime or even a like 6 ep OVA, then i totaly wanna see an OVA for Unicorn

  • Oh, you'll see one alright! Unicorn will be a 6 episode OVA coming in the spring of 2010. Awesome, huh?

  • I read that this takes place 30 years after Char's Counterattack
