  • For many years we have been involved in animal rescue.....

It was a quiet night.....only one of the dogs was barking..............LOL.

You could also hear a deaf cat that we take care of...............

    We are never lonely!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jazznbear thumbs up for animal rescue

  • Hey you back! Didn't you already explain the difference between Rag and Stride?

And What was the name of that song again? The on at 4:45 the "Dardenella?"

  • Yes, and "Dardanella" by Black and Fisher. 1919.

  • Thnx so much!

You are the Piano teacher I like in Youtube. Even when I dont undesrtand all your words (I dont speak much English) you are so clear and I can follow the examples and get the idea. Thnx to write in info too.

You are graphic, verbal and have sensitive to teach.

    good teacher. Thnx

  • Thanks for another great lesson, Jim. You don't know how much these mean to me. Are there any particular pieces you would recommend to those beginning stride?

  • I'm glad you are finding these helpful!

Even before you began tackling the classic stride piano solo literature I would use the basic stride techniques on pop songs of the earlier era such as "Yes sir, That's my baby," If I Could Be With You," "Dinah"," I've Got A Feeing I'm Falling'' etc. This should help you get the basic mechanics of the style under control.
