Allow financial companies that are going to borrow funds from the Treasury AFTER they go thru a formal restructuring (Chapter 11 bancrupsy). That way, there are no bad assets for the public to hold and they can start fresh.

The economic crisis didn't happen yesterday. The only thing that did change between when the crisis "began" (because it really began way before the stock market crash) and McCain's announcement were in fact the polling data.
