All the people I know - more or less - care. Interesting how we live in different milieus.

The reason why I care is because he and the US holds a big say in the war in Afghanistan which many European counties participate in. The US is also an important player when it comes to forming the new rules of the shattered economy and when it comes to kick starting it.

Europe has become a demoralized socialist joke and is going to get bitchslapped over and over by Russia. Nobody in europe knows who the hell Obama is, they have too much expectation.

Obama is not a terrible guy and can listen to reason, but he new congress is terrifying and void of reason. Expect LOTS of protectionism and lots of very bad decisions from this congress, overregulation and seemingly no restraint. Europe will hate this new US congress almost as much as the US will.
