  • Yes, man kind has caused plenty of damage to the earth. But, who knows what the future holds. This could just be a dark spot for planet and humanity. The current pain always seems the most important.

  • I'm crying

    ; (

  • I'm 18 years old, came - after long thought - to the bitter conclusion that mankind is the worst thing ever happened to this planet and that there's no hope except either destroying us or we'll do that ourselves, yet this song - especially 1:10 and what follows made me cry out of joy and I'm proud and happy of that.

  • @MrNoobHere You think mankind is the worst thing that's ever happened to the planet? Ha, I wouldn't say that. I mean, I get what you're saying; we've certainly caused a lot of damage. Yet, the best thing about humans is that we have the ability to change things. The fact that we've realized the damage we've caused is a step in the right direction.

  • @6629Phoenix We can coexist with each other, but we just don't. Humans are so complex in nature that they are simply confused by their own moral standards and are unsure of what is morally correct, only because all authority can be questioned, therefore certain acts can be debatable of whether or not they are the best possible course of action or not. Animals don't fight over behavior because they act on instinct. Our flaws are brought on by our complexities, which can be overcome to an extent.

  • The Lion King is the BEST movie that Disney every created, Even better that anything they had before, and FAR outclassing anything the have Today. The Lion King is a true Masterpiece, both in it's day and today, possibly even in the future.

    LONG LIVE THE LION KING!

  • @wazamaga- I love the Lion King, But I'd have to say that Beauty and the beast and Aladdin are pretty close on the Music. I mean, the main reason I love Disney movies is because of the music. They use genius composers to add so much depth to the story. Disney died after Tarzan I'd say. *Sigh* I

  • @Crazygirl1910

Of course it comes close in the music, bit it's LIGHTYEARS behind TLK in terms of showing the big aspects of life, talking about the "big" things, the ones that count in a life and the one you can look back at and say "that's it. I did it".

What TLK tells about life is nothing more but the one and only way to a better future, a guide to an in every aspect better society. If people behaved the way TLK sees the world, we wouldn't need tales of paradise. We'd already live in one.

  • @MrNoobHere- lol! Each Disney story has a moral. But I do what you are saying,

  • @Crazygirl1910

Yes, thy have a story. Bot most of them dont give you a lesson to learn.

  • @MrNoobHere- They all teach lessons. Mulan teaches about strength and courage, and about becoming who you are meant to be; not as the world wants you to be. Beauty and the Beast teaches that being selfish gets you into trouble, and to look on the inside on the inside of a person instead of the outside. Toy Story shows how perilous jealousy is, and how friendship conquers all. Most, if not all, teach about the importance of love and family and how important it is to be true to one's self.

  • I know this song sounds sad but it always helped me out of sadness!!

  • Damn, one man composed this, this people is when disney died, when some muppet decided to stop hiring geniuses like Hans Zimmer

  • I just watched this in 3D at the cinema...I may have cried a little, it was so epic

  • @TheSilverDragon116 I cried at least 6 times

  • 1:14

  • OMG 1.14 ITS BEAUTIFULLLLLLL

    OMG !!!!

  • @SianDaviesgirl omg this comment made me laugh so much XD I tip my hat to you

  • ...I just listened to this on repeat until I got a Lion King speed painting done. And I'm gonna use this piece as the soundtrack.

  • at 0:45, it feels like GOD is present! :)

  • @Eye2EyeIIIV Mufasa will always be God.

  • @whitexfangs

    lolo yeah!

    The Lion of Judah!

  • omg im getting teary eyed

  • this makes me cry so much!

  • @SianDaviesgirl I wish people would stop comparing hans zimmer to god. I mean he's good, but he's no hans zimmer.

  • Triple H: I love you, pop. and I'm Sorry.

  • Disney is dead, sorry

  • @KovuMale Not in our hearts.

  • @AvengeOrVengeance You are so right

  • I used to loveeee Disney

  • Alright Disney, you win. I'm crying tears of joy because of this masterpiece. Can I have my heart back please?

  • @Reneeski82 You shouldn't thank Disney... Disney didn't compose this, Hans Zimmer did.

    Hans Zimmer = Genius

  • i love this movie its the best disney movie ever

  • im a man and this song gives me goose bumps!!!!

  • Simply amazing... I can't make it through this movie without tearing up at least once or twice.....

  • Cette chanson...c'est dingue tout ces souvenirs qui affluent..

  • the best movie forever !

  • I love this movie so much!! Still I cry when Mufasa dies, always will. And such beautiful music!

  • John Williams

    Trevor Rabin and

Hans Zimmer are the best composers

  • I think this might be my favourite piece of music (ever), but i always feel the end is a bit random

  • I seen this movie 25 times in the theatre. It's such a wonderful movie. <3 This part always makes me cry though.

  • when we're little, we don't realize how deep this movie truly is. this is movie tells you that no matter how long you run, you'll eventually have to face your past. and not to worry, because your loved ones that have passed on will still be with you, and that only you can rule your life, unless you let someone else rule it, and to never give up, because the truth will out.

  • MUFASSA ..WOOO HOOO SAY IT AGAIN MUFASSSA LOL

  • AINT NO CARTOON IN THE WORLD CAN FUCK WITH LION KING!!!

  • Hans Zimmer thank you so much!

  • This movie's saving my life.

  • The mood shift at 0:45 is epic... always gives me chills.

  • at 2: 34 i was just thinking of that part and then it started playing

    I CAN PREDICT THE FUTURE!

  • This song is THE reason for my love for Lion King

  • Hans Zimmer is A GOD. hands down.

  • A hyena voted down 1 time

  • CHILDHOOD! I miss you so!! ;( I believe this is the most beautiful song that exist. Especially when you remember it from your childhood.

No joke, but i feel sad for those who havent heard this song in their own childhood. They've missed something special, something very special..

  • Even If you hate children's movie's Lion King is this miraculous creation that breaks through everyone's heart. I have listened to the soudtrack 25 thousand times and watched the movie yet even more. Its amazing.

  • this is so beautiful yet simple to play on piano..

  • aww this is the part where Simba speaks to the spirit of Mufasa

  • @dearshareee

And also the first level of the game.

  • this song is brilliant.

  • this song gives me the chills!

  • who can not like this? well, i definetly don't like it........ I LOVE THIS!

  • there's no such thing as talking lions

  • @trollionaire WHO CARES?

We all love this music if you dont like it then GO AWAY

  • @trollionaire you just don't believe in the disney magic!

  • @trollionaire oh hush, your ruining it for us.

  • I need to go to Africa.

  • Such a beautiful piece of music, its a shame Hans Zimmer does not get as much appreciation as he should for this by some members of the public, yes Elton John did some of the album however all the instrumental work from this film was written by Hans Zimmer. Also a shame that over 60 minutes of this score exists yet only roughly 16 minutes made it to the original soundtrack he should be appreciated as he worked on this for over 4 years :( Just my opinion :)

    LOVE THIS SONG <3

  • 1 desgraciado que no tiene infancia.

  • 1:10 Dear Lord, I am crying.

  • @DoubleSwords47 Me too ! This part of the song is so powerful ... can't even explain!

  • i love this movie so much that i memorize all the lines in it. XD good thing i grew up with watching Disney movies...

  • When I was young I already loved this movie, it always gave me a special feeling. Now I'm older and I realise that I had that special feeling mainly because of the music, it is wonderfull!

  • Ah look. A smartazz disliked this just so his insignificant little life could get some attention. well you got it , you're even more worthless now ^.^! lion king ftw!

  • THE LION KING WILL NEVER EVER BE FORGOTTEN!!!!!!!

  • Thank you Walter Disney ( God rest his soul )

  • This is an all time Classic. You'd have to be heartless or ignorant to dislike this masterpiece.

  • Not a single dislike ;v; Beautiful movie and soundtrack

  • Sorry if you dont agree but i have to admit the end where there all chanting kinda ruins the song.

  • A List of Disney's top Master Pieces: -The Lion King=(MOST AMAZING) -Hook=(MOST EPIC) -Benji The Hunted=(MOST AMAZING AND LEGENDARY) -Pirates of the Caribbean=(EPIC) -Angels in the Outfield=(EPIC AND HILARIOUS) -Once Upon a Forest=(EPIC) -Balto=(VERY EPIC) -Aladin=(EPIC AND ADVENTUROUS) -Shrek=(MOST AMAZING AND HILARIOUS_not sure of it's Disney though lol_) -Toy Story=(MOST EPIC)
  • Interesting note about the soundtrack (by Hans Zimmer). This is from wikipedia btw:

Zimmer said that he had wanted to go to South Africa to record parts of the soundtrack, but was unable to visit the country as he had a police record there "for doing 'subversive' movies" after his work on The Power of One. Disney studio bosses expressed fears that Zimmer would be killed if he went to South Africa, so the recording of the choirs was organized during a visit by Lebo M.

  • when does this song play in the movie?

  • @taylorlautnerLOVE95 after Simba defeats Scar and the land becomes prosperous again =) (and also during their fight I think hmm ) somewhere then anyway!

  • R: You see, he lives in you..

    M: Simba..

    S: Father?

M: Simba, you have forgotten me.

    S: No! How could I?

M: You have forgotten who you are, so you have forgotten me. Look inside yourself, Simba, you are more than what you have become. You must take your place in the circle of life.

S: How can I go back? I'm not who I used to be..

M: Remember who you are ... You are my son, and the one true king.

    *Mufasa echoes; remember*

  • @shaeso

    (echoes) "This... is CNN..."

  • @shaeso gave me goosebumps reading this mate!

  • @fares921 That's the goal! =)

  • @shaeso That was the most touching part in the movie i literally cried while reading this lol

  • @airilove17 Perfect :)

  • is that scar in the picture? quite frankly id love to listen to this piece of music without watching an evil guy.

  • @loveablepixiebaby You don't hate to watch in order to listen... And I think it's Mufasa, not Scar.

  • Oh God! DX I didn't know what I was getting into I just saw Lion King and I was like "Neat" =D But then this started playing and I was like "Mufasa!!!!" DX T^T
  • Ya know the only 3D animated movies that I love are Toy Story, Shrek and Ice Age and probaly Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon. But I still prefer 2D animated movies such as this.

  • "You have forgotten who you are, and so forgotten me. Look inside yourself, Simba. You are more than what you have become. You must take your place in the circle of life."

--"How can I go back? I'm not who I used to be."

"Remember who you are. You are my son, and the one true king."

    Very powerful scene. :)

  • I'm officialy crying to this song.

  • Epic!

  • no words. Just listen this amazing, epic melody. This track remind me my childhood

  • This used to make me get teary eyed when I was a kid..great song.

  • This melody makes me think, meditate, dream ..

this melody always liked me since I was a child

  • If I had this on infinite loop, it'd just be...pure bliss. Remember the good old Disney, with such inspirational soundtracks and animation.

  • This song gets me EVERYTIME! Such an amazing movie!

  • the gretaest i ever heard

  • I truly believe that no matter how much technology can improve or whatever, today generations will be poorer for not having this kind of movie. This brings back so many memories, and makes me think, kids today dont have movies like this...its sad if you think about it....

  • My favorite movie. Nothing else can match the beauty of this movie.
