I think it was great that Adventureland featured this song. It takes the Velvet Underground to a new generation of like-minded listeners such as myself who may not have otherwise discovered the band. My favourite thing about this song is definitely Lou Reed's shaky, vulnerable and effectively emotional delivery.

Adventureland was the first time I was exposed to Pale Blue Eyes and Lou Reed and you know what? I thank God for that movie because now I love that shit. I've loved the Velvets for over fifteen years now and I'm kinda glad that they are actually getting recognition in pop flicks. Thing about the Velvet Underground is that those in the "mainstream" usually have never even heard of them and those who listen to "underground" music have heard them so much that the most hip will only give them a nod in passing, seeing them as over exposed.
