He may be a phony and a fraud, but Angley has lived in the same SMALL house for almost 60 years and it is well known that he doesn't live an extravagant lifestyle. In fact a personal visit to his church might not be a bad idea. It's in Dayton Ohio if I remember right. Objectivity would be pleased I'm sure! @edkent678 Steve is podcasting because he's under contract to CBS until July 2011. The current ratings system (which from my research is NOT scientific or accurate) was not favorable to his show, or many other comedy talk shows.

The recording incident was 10+ years ago, and it was people that worked for Steve bad-mouthing him. Steve admitted it, I believe he even was forced to pay a fine over it.

Anyway, the two incidents are not related, I'm not sure if that's what you were saying or not.

I saw children supposedly healed on TV. Our daughtor is in a wheelchair, a quad, so I had hopes for her. We went a few times, more than a one hour drive. I am nearly blind too. Holly had to be in her chair for more than eight hours. All for NADA, and many others' in the handicapped section. The offering section was over a half hour of demanding moola. That SOB exploits children, uses children to sucker people in. It's psychcomatic i.e. hypnotism and mass mind control - many cult leaders do it.

The service lasts four+ hours, first lots of music by Ernie's entertainers. Sit back and enjoy the one hour show. Than the offering, at least 1/2 hour about money. More music, announcements, than a boring scripted sermon. The last hour is the healing line. Then it's off to the Cathedral buffet at about midnight. The place is packed, lot's more moola. I hear it is staffed by volunteer members - NO PAY! The food was pretty good though. Ernie stops by for photo posing and autographs.

Sound right, I guess it hasn't changed much in the last 25+ years. What a joke, and this shadow of a man/preacher has managed to make quite a living off of fleecing people. Of course many of them may be stupid to start with, but I don't know if that means they deserve to get monetarily screwed by Angley and his wacky sideshow. Also, I'm sure some are just desperate sick people looking for ANY way to feel better, and that's even sadder.

I actually went to E.A.'s church in Akron. They have a handicapped section where the REAL handicapped people are, they aren't allowed on stage. The cameras do not show that section because I saw no miracles happen there. One blind member told us he went there for seven years, and no miracle for him too. Ernie goes down there to pray after the service, most go to the buffet, so not many witnesses left to see nothing happen. IMO, the stuff on stage is staged by plants = show biz sensationalism.
