  • Japan is so beautiful!!!!!!! <3 <3

  • I lived a couple blocks off Rt 17 in Maebashi. Avoided riding on it most of the time. Some of my schools would take 60' by bike in the morning and longer on the way home but I arrived much more relaxed and refreshed than when I drove ~45' to the same schools.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this- it's like living in Japan!!

  • I've traveled many countries in the world and Japanese streets were by far the most litter free country I been. Singapore comes second. Korea had lots of litter in Seoul.

  • Sounds like Black Dog Productions!

  • like the green sidewalks

  • only thing i dont get is how high the handlebar sits...makes no sense to me

  • song name?

  • really,,,,,,,,japan is the heaven for all bike rider's,,,,,,,i just dream that Jakarta-Indonesia will that civilized,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i really envy for your country bro T_T,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • Japan looks nice. If I rode for 20 mins I could probably get to Block Buster. lol.

  • How did you record this?

  • aaaaw great tour i wish greek drivers n pedestrians were that civilized !!!!!!!!

  • awesome video, makes me want to bike more!

  • Point the camera at the girlz!

  • @topassasin442 Study Japanese too and good luck see you in Japan :)

  • What's your tyre size? And what's your average RPM on the road?

  • @weurRTG MTB rims with 2.5 Maxxis hookworms. RPMs well I don't know but I cruse rather effortlessly at about 20 to 25 kph unless I want to pass or I'm late for work. Sorry I will let you do the math on that one.

  • Awesome

  • cool-ish music in the BG, great video too!

  • thank you for the ride, toddatron! :)

  • Riding a bike vs. train, sometimes quieter and smells better, depending on the person less likely to be groped

  • It's kind of shocking how urban Japan looks the same all over! This could be pretty much anywhere! Just out of interest, whereabouts is it?

  • japan is soo beautiful

  • THAT was sssooo cool! i like the rera basket i saw on theses bikes, and its ssssoooo quiet too! :)

  • which r most inportant to YOU?? bike, scooter or car??

  • Man, you go awfully near some of the cars and busses, sometimes ... I had to hold my breath! How can you tell you won't be run over?

  • LOVES your content. But, you already KNOW that .... I rely on seeing stuff from you more often ... you must be quite busy, at the moment.

  • That's one hell of a daily bike commute. My AET commute is 45 minutes by train and subway. I can't imagine riding a bike to work for 60 minutes therefore I commend your fortitude and endurance. Get your ass to Nagoya if you want me to buy you a beer(s)!

  • what about an ebike as in electric bike i have only 2.6 km to work each way, but its so much easier and you can still pedal. or i do when i ride home on a cold winters night after work. well i suppose 5-8.c. the 30 on the road is that miles or km. and if you are from the states did it seem hard to ride or drive on the left hand side of the road, like we do in aussieland.

  • got to love having a mountain bike so much faster. hehe

was it just me or did you slow it down at 6:50?

  • @APOKALYPSE34 Yea it was just to make things a little more interesting.

  • It's the American way of riding a bike.

Japanese drivers get frustrated if you don't ride your bike on the side walks.

  • @Tnakamura11 Its actually illegal to ride a bike(motor vehicle) on the sidewalk in Japan. I wont tell and old lady on a trike that and I am glad they don't enforce that ... problem is: If you want to bike at high speed and commute then the side walk is out of the question. More people in Japan are discovering "The American Way of biking" I see more and more racers and commuter bikes in the side lane everyday. Its cheap and healthy and the roads are very safe here. I feel privileged to ride here.

  • English on the trains! Not when I lived there. You guys have got it easy now.

  • I'd somehow manage to fall and crack my head open in the first 15 seconds! Love the funky biking music.

  • i would be scared to ride a bike here in new york city.. theres so many aggressive car drivers trying to rush to get to work lol and don't get me started with taxi drivers they are the worst.

  • @linkinpain Taxi drivers here are a little annoying but not as bad as NY or Boston for sure.

  • @toddatron

Yeah, but they ALL speak perfect Japanese and dressed well (some even wear white gloves!) Cab drivers here (NYC) and other big cities, they don't even speak English and they should definitely BATHE!!!!!! : (

  • @TiramisuHappy I meant the way they drive but you have a good point anyway:)

  • I like how you started off showing people standing in the train before your bike riding footage. You are getting to work free, getting exercise and seeing the sights all at the same time

  • My daughter and I couldn't figure out what was ''off'' with this video until 3 minutes into it---NO POTHOLES ON THE ROAD!!! Now that's just amazing!!!! Also-- no garbage on side of road, there are flowers on curbs, and no one flipping you off as you go by on your bike...seems like such a nice place to live you are so lucky!!!!!!!

  • @finalfantasy4everock Yea but when you get a little farther from Tokyo there are some dumpy parts of town with plenty of trash ..... sorry to say. I will be showing that at some point. Not to be bad to Japan but to keep it real.

  • Oh I love how the train voice has english too!

I love japanese bikes. Over in america there to flashie, but for good reason. People don't pay much attention to bike riders. Just a few months ago they put in bike lanes on the main street near my house.

I'd so look to live in Japan even for a vist once! I'd stock up on everything! As a girl I'm in love with bath products. The bath bombs are so cool!

Hope you had a nice ride!

  • @Eszra Bikes and bath culture and food way to go:P

  • At 0:50 - the yellow flashing light means traffic has to stop? Or did you stop just to be careful since you were on a bike?

  • @SuperTechieJ I stopped because it was a blind corner. I break the rules but I have to live long enough to get where I am going:)

  • @toddatron

    Good call.

Bikes being harder to see and all.

  • How long did it take you to plan out this route? Did you try other routes in the meantime? Must of been nerve racking to possibly getting lost in Japan. Very cool video nonetheless. Thanks for sharing.

  • @Crush777 Google maps and a few test runs on the weekends then after a week of commuting by bike I really cut the fat on the route and got it the shortest I could. Once you get used to the route you know where all the bad spots and sweet spots are and it goes even faster and safer.

  • That slo-mo was very much appreciated (@6:50)!!

I can watch that over and over again. ; D

    Arigatou!!!

  • Nice, I saw a few funny things along the way! ....LOL @ 6:48 xD

  • it feels like your left leg is going to hit a electricity pole lol! great vid!

  • are alot of the new cars there sort of smart car-ish?

  • Do you have to stop at red lights?

  • I really enjoyed this and the other riding videos.....It just seems so relaxing. One thing I noticed .....how clean the alleys or narrow streets are....around where I live....not that clean....only in better neiborhoods......As always, thanks .

  • whats the name of the track at 4:00 plz?

  • Nice ride... hmmm, I want to ride in Tokyo!!

  • great video. normally i prefer night footage but this was the exception. good music too.

  • I wish we could ride like that here in Puerto Rico, without getting run over by a truck. Take care out there man!

  • 7:43 mark.

Did you tell him to "get the f*#@! outta my way" as you passed him by?

That was brilliantly wrong and hilarious at the same time!! : D

That road-side construction clearly indicates this is indeed Tokyo, but I have NO idea exactly where this was shot. I also see many non-Tokyo plates on the cars. The sign at one of the intersections says Hatogaya Station. I'm not familiar with that area at all...

  • Looks like this is NOT Tokyo after all. I found a bank sign that says Saitama.

No wonder I'm completely lost in this video. Still, it's VERY relaxing and enjoyable!! : )

  • @TiramisuHappy Hey I know those guys are just doing a job but for Christ sake they are dumb to let the car go and wave me over just cause I am pedaling. Some of them see me coming and wave me through like a vehicle. The law here says I am a vehicle when I ride on the street............ period.

  • @toddatron

Maybe that's how the law stipulates in Japan, but if I were driving my dad's car in Tokyo (as I often do when I go back home for a visit,) and I see bike riders getting so close to the traffic, your ass is GRASS! That's just how it goes. I'll mow you and your pretty little bicycle down without even thinking twice!! ; )

    Be careful out there!

  • @TiramisuHappy If I don't die your mirror is GONE! Magical mirror punch. One unlucky truck driver got to close and at the next light he had to stop to put his mirror back in position.....heh heh

  • @toddatron

Breathing too much exhaust fumes will make you more prone to road rage I bet!

I'm staying away from Saitama then. : )

On my next trip back home, I'm planning to go to the John Lennon museum at the Super Arena. Maybe I'll see you riding by...

  • THis video was great! Alothough I was afraid you were gonna hit the cars sometimes. Or that the buses were gonna squish u! Or even that pedestrains were going to walk right into you! You could never do this in America. Assholes would try to scare you or eun you off the road. Some would even hit you on purpose. At least were I live. What are the places you rode through called? Like names of towns? I LOVE UR VIDEOS!

  • this is really a cool way to see something. thanks for the virtual ride

  • Beutiful! beautiful! beautiful!!!! I'd like to know where exactly in google earth this trip was made. Could you indicate it? Thanks anyway for this vid!!!!!!

  • @danielhf26 Travel I mean! (sorry by my english)

  • jiten-sha wa sugoi-ne

  • I live in Japan and still love it.

So many stories waiting to be told by every street corner. So many adventures to be had in each small alley.

I think it's safe to say we both love Japan?

  • @ThePacificCrossing Cheers man!

  • Loved this video!! Make more videos like this

  • riding with the bike thru japan is the best thing in the world. i used to write every morning from asagaya to shinjuku! adrenalin trip for sure! :D

  • @liberty1211 Yup. When I get to work I feel like superman. Better than having a cup of coffee.

  • I've had a great 11 min of armchair tourism. Thanks!

  • Really beautiful and scary of how close you seem to get hit or hit the back of a bus at one point. Anyway very cool vid thank you for sharing. ^^v peace!

  • how come most of the bikes in japan look the same? lol

  • Man that looks so amazing. I should probably start my riding bike to places :D

  • <-----jealous of your video

  • @AntoneX6 Thanks dude! We should ride sometime:)

  • Interesting! :)

  • So quiet!
