Alice chooses to fight the Queen of Hearts when told not to (famous "leave, and some hollow part..." quote), because she is given two choices:

1) leave, and be trapped in never-ending guilt the rest of her life

2) stay and fight a) die = at least she'd be free b) win = she won!

So, she decided to stay and fight.

Just trying to bring some depth to the general populace's understanding of this terrific story. :)

Mad Hatter = fear (also creepiness LOL)

Jabberwocky = guilt

Queen of Hearts = Alice's second personality, the one that does not want an end to the suffering because she was born of suffering. It is up to the third personality (the Alice you play) to stop her.

Alice's personalities:

-meek = real world (asylum)

-insane = Wonderland (Queen)

-active, charming, witty, etc., (LOL) = Wonderland Alice

They are making a movie out of this game. They worked really hard on it's script & finally finished it, however, one of the directors or producers said the script still needed more work. So it's still unsure when the movie will ever begin filming. And they're also unsure whether it'll be live or cartoonish (2D).

He's the personification of Alice's guilt, hence the fire, and he is made of metal because he was damaged in an earlier fight by the Vorpal Blade (Alice's knife). The mad hatter fixed him up, and made him semi-mechanical.

The movie is on indefinite hold, they dont have a cast ready and the sad thing is... Tim Burton is already coming out with Alice n Wonderland [for Disney] starring Johnny Depp. It's not based off this game but it'll certainly be dark. Unfortunately with that said, with Tim's movie coming out, the prospects of a movie based off this game coming out are getting slimmer.

Even after she is relased from the asylum she is still pretty crazy. She has another reality in her mind (wonderland) which she needs to conqer to stay sane. Thats pretty unhealthy. A happy insanity, but she could snap at any minute.

I think she retreated to wonderland because she was depressed (what we do to escape reality), but her guilt twisted her imagination (wonderland). Meaning she was probably plagued by nightmares, and couldn't get out.
