Even if the Aethersworn Canonist prevented the storm copies from entering the stack, the Brain Freeze is an instant - he just casts it in response to the cast of canonist.
I don't care if people hate combo decks but the first game of the back table is lol with it taking over a half hour to finish a game one. Auto draw if they were playing with a time limit; and would be something I would do with some of my combo decks.
Wirewood Symbiote is BROKEN, along with like 5 other cards. The manipulation ability with Elves is silly. This is not how the game was intended to be played. Being able to tap creatures for mana & being able to untap them to do it again, and being able to draw more cards & replay cards over & over again which allows you to draw more cards & get more mana by tapping & untapping & bouncing & drawing & casting, etc. etc., isn't playing a card game.
@Lightmane321 yes that is somewhat true but one of my freinds has an elves deck that can pwn the fuck outta u even though his second turn takes all day bu it so intresting to see how every thing comes together to dish out a freak load of damage
@darthbane334 You're right. There's no doubt that it's very interesting to see a deck work that way, and the original game was pretty broken too, wasn't it? LOL
Interesting how they ban cards, because they're "too powerful" or "broken" and then keep making cards that are "too powerful" or "broken". Weird huh? ; )
@suprflcn i disagree only on the basis that i KNOW what to expect. for example, i played a CARD FOR CARD replica of the Naya Lightsaber with my monoblack vampires and won 5 games out of 7. why? Every time he put down something worth playing, i killed it with doomblade (i run 4x) or consuming vapors (i run 4x) or tendrils of corruption (which I run 3.)
it's not hard at all to beat net decks, but combo decks ruin the game.
Saito's deck looks very familiar. Is this so deck the "grapeshot elves" deck? I remember a certain elf deck won a Magic Pro Tour in berlin but I can't remember which year.
That's not right. The conspire ruling says that you can tap a creature you control to reduce by 1 the playing cost OR by 1 of the color of that creature.
chord of calling lets you play any card of converted mana cost X or less, regardless of color. with 9 mana, he has enough to play predator dragon which costs 6.
Devour means whenever this creature comes into play, you may sacrifice any number of creatures you control, if you do it comes with twice that many +1/+1 counters on it in play.
@LiangHuBBB it adds extra counters on the creature. (example. devour 1 you put a 1/1 counter on creature, devour 2 you put 2 1/1 counters on creature)
@Interrogater it is but lately its been boring at my school everyone uses freakin either artifacts decks or infect cause of the mirrodin block but i cant talk i have two artifacts i made but still im goin back to freakin this crap agian back to alara eldrazi zendikar those sets were so much better they werent so weird feeling
Consider also you have to wait until your upkeep, and in a format where your likely to not get past elfball's second turn you can't play that card. Kind of a stupid suggestion.
Thalers deck + Coat of Arms.

To much power for that mage it seems, Saito looks a bit lost sometimes playing his combo deck.

saito made a mistake, you still have to pay 3 green mana to play, he couldnt conspire and tap all four greatures for a chord set at 1

he had a dragon that kills his own creatures to become stronger and it has hast. so he would have done leathal damage with that one atack.

as far as i know (no expert here) he had a card to let his elfs tap for any color mana. ill look more closely here soon to get it exact.

Predator Dragon.

I luuuuuv Magic, i onl played for 3 days and this game is great!
It's really great that I've finally found a hobby (This is not a sport, just like golf).
It's also great that the card game thing for me is starting up. (I used to play Yu-gi-oh, which sucks.)
Hey, if you're reading this and you don't play Magic, try it out with a friend, it's really fun.

Yes. You can write down any information you get during a match as long as you are quick about it. It's perfectly legal, I suggest it.
