I can see why you would think that neither Kompany or Johnson's challenges should have been red cards, but if two footed challenges are allowed, players will make two footed challenges and will get them wrong. So I think that two footed challenges shouldn't be allowed because if they're not and it saves a players leg being broken, then it was definitely worth it!

Kompanys was a good/well timed/strong tackle, which yes I agree, probably would of broken a leg if connected but the tackle was so well timed that he made no contact with anything but the ball! That is not the same as the one Kompany did. Yes it was 2 footed and yes that should of been at least a yellow but not a red. Was Lescott behind the ball that Johnson was tackling into? No. He was on the side. Kompany went into the ball 2 footed and into Nani. Johnson went 2 footed into the ball and barely into Lescott. Of course if Lescott rolled on the ground Johnson would of got carded most likely but that is not similar.

Didn't even touch Lescott. How can you get a red for two footing a free ball? Man City wasn't in possession of it. Johnson simply cut out a pass with two feet. Lescott knew very little about that ball. The real tragedy was wee Jay Spearing's red a few weeks ago. Clear 2-footed tackle. Not as bad as Kompany's though. Kompany came straight at Nani with his tackle while Nani had possession of the ball, Johnson comes in from the side and actually gets to the ball before Lescott can even touch it...so technically it was a 50-50 ball to be won since Lescott never had possession. But again, these decisions are left up to humans, and all humans make mistakes and judge things differently; which is why technology has been in such high demand by many supporters.

Johnson jumped in to intercept the ball before it got to Lescott which he did successfully - its not a tackle - watch it again and see what you think he jumps into open space and Lescott comes in from the side and is beaten to the ball by Johnson but there is no tackle

it is clear two footed tackle and he should get the red card. The referee cant see it clearly like we do in different dimension of replay. They don't have a replay to watch. Their decision is made instance base on what they can see.they are not robot,they cannot make every decision correctly. I wonder why don't the FA jz disable the referee in the field, they can just hv some1 sitting infront of a tv use the camera and watch replay to decide the decision and use a speaker to spoke the decision.
