Why don't you fuck off and care about Melbourne Victory or some other useless pile of Aussie shit rather post stupid and irrelevant videos about something that neither you nor anyone else can control. Not a red card, neither was Kompany's, and (I guess it's standard operating procedure) but the FA's policy of "shut up and don't challenge our corrupt and unjust decision or you get a longer suspension" is absolute bullshit.
It was Rooney who sent Kompany off,not the ref. Man Utd are real cheats and constantly surround the refs and swear at them when their not getting their own way.
I don't think either tackles were red cards,it was just who City were playing against that got Kompany a red card.
the issue was the ref ignoring giggs two-footed lunge but the press put the emphasis on this one which wasn't as bad. You're all a bunch of fucking sheep, baaaaa
niether this or kompany's was a red. the problem is refs. City were robbed of a place in the 4th round. United could barely beat them even with that massive blessing from the ref.
F YOU man city your buying your title just like chelsea and look wer they r now only a mater of time for you! kompany and balotteli are both cheating dirty stompers they dont deserve 2be playing let alone be baned. plus your managers a cheat he tries flashing red cards from the sideline, he flashes more than a dirty stripper, he should be watching frm home himself. your team is the bigest cheating sore losers, hu think you deserve the title when 6mnths ago u were a mid tble team, no ur place!
I can see why you would think that neither Kompany or Johnson's challenges should have been red cards, but if two footed challenges are allowed, players will make two footed challenges and will get them wrong. So I think that two footed challenges shouldn't be allowed because if they're not and it saves a players leg being broken, then it was definitely worth it!
i saw the tackle! LEsCOT was never in a million light years EVER gonna reach that ball... He stretched, and guess what!!!! Lescott didn't even touch the ball.... need i say more?
CITY BOYS... STop being such unsporting faggots....
Football is becoming a pussy sport , Referees don't use common sense and are fucking idiots , neither tackles were red as they were going for the ball , it doesn't say in the rule book that two footed tackles deserve a red. How many players have received broken legs in the past 10 years ? hardly any except for Eduardo and maybe a few others.
As a Liverpool fan.... Kompanys was never a red card in a million years. Neither was Johnsons. City fans asking for Johnson to get a red card is just sad and is actually justifying Kompanys red card. Don't be asking for a red card for Johnson, ask for an investigation into the corrupt cunt who was officiating your FA cup game.
Kompanys was a good/well timed/strong tackle, which yes I agree, probably would of broken a leg if connected but the tackle was so well timed that he made no contact with anything but the ball! But i understand why he was sent off because the letter of the law states that if u go in two footed then your off! Fair enough! As for Johnson's 'tackle', never a red, hence him not getting a red!! U can't get a red card for making a two footed tackle on a football! Lescott was recieving a pass and John
That is not the same as the one Kompany did. Yes it was 2 footed and yes that should of been at least a yellow but not a red. Was Lescott behind the ball that Johnson was tackling into? No. He was on the side. Kompany went into the ball 2 footed and into Nani. Johnson went 2 footed into the ball and barely into Lescott. Of course if Lescott rolled on the ground Johnson would of got carded most likely but that is not similar.
Following the letter of the law regarding dangerous challenges, it refers to "lunging AT a player". Johnson's does not lunge directly towards Lescott, he virtually slides past him. Kompany's challenge on the other hand, was directly AT Nani. You can tell the difference: Lescott doesn't have to take evasive action and gets caught slightly. Nani had to leap over Kompany's challenge to avoid getting his legs broken.
No way that was a red since Johnson would never have gone through Lescott whereas Kompany would have gone through Nani if he made contact. The only reason Johnson didn't get a red card was because Lescott never had control of the ball so it was an interception not even a tackle.
Johnson cut out the pass before it even reached Lescott. Can't even be called a tackle. "Two footing" the ball is not a red. Lescott hasn't a clue about the ball. LOL.
@MarvinLikesTheBeach How erudite you are - the fact is that under the current interpretation, both challenges should have produced red cards - I don't agree with that interpretation but that is how it is. I have no idea what a "muggy poof" is but I suppose it takes one to know one. I do not like basketball but to say it is a non-contact sport is plain stupid - maybe you have sunstroke from all that time at the beach - you are clearly not well. Marvin is a good name though.
@kamyueloh basketball is a non contact sport, even a hand on the shoulder is a foul in basketball, or a slap on the hand. its a mugs game. and thats what football will become if refs keep on acting like bitches and giving unnecessary red cards. look at yakubus red card last week, ridiculous decision
Johnsons a deffo red card Kompanys wasn't. 2 different games 2 different refs. 2 defeats. Stop moaning and get on with taking man utds title off them please! You'll Never Walk Alone! x
@iley89 There's no way Johnson's was worse that Kompany's...if any of the tackles was defendable, it's Johnson's. 50-50 ball, got to the ball before Lescott could get possession, sliding to the side. Nani had possession when Kompany slid in towards him.
And really? "...get on with taking man utds title off them please!" That's pathetic. Cheering for 1 local rival to beat a more hated local rival because you can't do it yourselves...How about cheering for your club to beat both rivals?
The two tackles outline the weoful ineptitude of British Ref's. We have maybe 2 or 3 top notch refs in our leagues, the rest are simply not good enough.
LISTEN: THE CONTACT WAS MADE BECAUSE LESCOTT STUCK HIS FOOT OUT AFTERR JOHNSON HAD JUMPED TO INTERCEPT THE BALL. WHY DO I SAY 'INTERCEPT'? DOES HE LOOK AT LESCOTT AT ANY POINT?? NO. HE IS FULLY COMMITTED TO GETTING TO THE BALL BEFORE LESCOTT. SO HE JUMPS INTO IT. DO U SEE OLYMPIC LONG-JUMPERAS JUMPING WITH ONE FOOT? NO. WHY? BECAUSE TWO FEET ENABLES THEM TO ACHIEVE A GREATER DISTANCE. JOHNSON WANTED 2 GET TO THE BALL BEFORE LESCOTT. IT WAS AN INTERCEPTION. NOT A TACKLE, AND CERTAINLY NOT A FOUL
And kompanys ban wasn't increased to 4 games because he appealed, it was 4 games initially because it's his second red card of the season. Just saying ;-)

Didn't even touch Lescott. How can you get a red for two footing a free ball? Man City wasn't in possession of it. Johnson simply cut out a pass with two feet. Lescott knew very little about that ball. The real tragedy was wee Jay Spearing's red a few weeks ago. I guess Man City knows what it is like to be in Liverpool's boots now when the FA and refs have a vendetta against you. Poor refs and poor FA.
@LordWoolley LOL, a vendetta against Liverpool? You do realise that almost every single team has a list of terrible decisions given against them, it's just the fact that you don't watch every other teams games. You watch every Liverpool game so therefore you see all the bad decisions against your team, not anyone elses. As for this tackle it IS a red card in the current ruleset. Two feet in a tackle is an instant red, doesn't matter about anything else. Instant red.
Clear 2-footed tackle. Not as bad as Kompany's though. Kompany came straight at Nani with his tackle while Nani had possession of the ball, Johnson comes in from the side and actually gets to the ball before Lescott can even touch it...so technically it was a 50-50 ball to be won since Lescott never had possession. But again, these decisions are left up to humans, and all humans make mistakes and judge things differently; which is why technology has been in such high demand by many supporters.
Johnson jumped in to intercept the ball before it got to Lescott which he did successfully - its not a tackle - watch it again and see what you think he jumps into open space and Lescott comes in from the side and is beaten to the ball by Johnson but there is no tackle
Kompany came in square to the player and Johnson came in on the side which made it look less dangerous. Still a lunge, and two footed tho'. Kompanys looked wreck less due to coming straight at the player.
it is clear two footed tackle and he should get the red card. The referee cant see it clearly like we do in different dimension of replay. They don't have a replay to watch. Their decision is made instance base on what they can see.they are not robot, they cannot make every decision correctly. I wonder why don't the FA jz disable the referee in the field, they can just hv some1 sitting infront of a tv use the camera and watch replay to decide the decision and use a speaker to spoke the decision.
