DC Streetcars on 14th Street (Early 1950's)

Looks like the film starts in the early 50s, but ends years later, with the streetcars gone and the smelly buses replacing them. Aren't they tearing up the tracks towards the last minute of the film?. I recognized a '56 Chevy behind one of the buses after that part.

Thanks for the memories.. I was a kid when this film was shot...We lived at 14th and Webster and I rode this line every day....
