I've been storing food for along time but never cooked and dehydrated much usually canning because it stores for like 20 years how long do you think that would stay good?
@dodge088 We store more in the Ball or Mason type jars, and that is good for many years. We use the bags usally within a month or 2, they are just for the trail. No Idea how long they last.
@usframe Do you guys have anything planned in the near future? We have been meaning to get out but I have been completely unmotivated. :( Typical of this time of year.
@Royalsfan55 nothing planned in particular locally, but I have been thinking of examining some of the trails along the old canals. Up in Port Clinton for one.
@usframe We did a loop around the outside of Nolde last Sunday. . The trails there are well groomed and really pleasant to walk. A bit hilly but just a nice hike for the first of the season.
That's some ol' timey camping there fellas. I guess now-a-days it's called "bushcraft". I'm glad I wasn't anywhere near after you ate that chilli : ) Thanks for sharing.
First off did you guys see the add that runs before your video displays, Make you loose your appetite . Now to the video that was great I made some no bean chili for my new diet and well it sucked lol. I think I over dehydrated it or just the grounf turkey doesn't rehydrate well.
Looks like the same MSR stainless bowl I have....a Mini Trangia 28T nests perfectly inside that bowl :)

Ah the many uses of the bandana. Never go out without one. Wow that chili looks amazing. I wondered how it would look after rehydration.

WIN!!! I have a friend that has that little hatchet. He likes the deep belly for chopping, but agrees that it's not great for splitting.
