Once,i found a Different colored Bellsprout but i didnt know about shinys back then and i killed it with waterfall....:( but on the bright side i caught a shiny haunter
This is a used game, douche bag! What Sarah did with her trainer card is her business. I only used this game for storage and to chain with. She didn't even have any pokemon in her PC, so stop and think for a moment because you're the one looking like a stupid idiot all over youtube. You don't even know the story and you start making comments that I hack. Go back to that deep dark cave you crawled out of, youtube TROLL!!!
@xXJO308Xx I actually got a 5 stars trainer card in my SoulSilver version, and all without any hacks. Of course, I had to trade, so maybe some of my Pokémon are hacked, but the Battle Tower, Pokéathlon, and all the other stuff I did it myself.
yes you can, even if you're at 1 but the chance of seeing a shiny patch is MUCH bigger if you're at 40, if you keep resetting at 40 you wil see a shiny patch. :3

I know I was being retarded, i now know how to chain and all, i dint know then, i just started pokemon again like 2 weeks ago, gimme a break. Sorry Z33.
I dont know if this is true, but it makes sense. If u have a pokemon with Keen Eye ability in front of your team U will find the same pokemon easier in sandstorm, rain, snow, or any other weather condition.
It is very possible to chain. I've chained a total of 6 pokemon on route 228, beldum, cacturne, dugtrio, diglett, trapinch, and cacnea. I suggest to chain as early in the day as possible and pick only sparkling patches of grass. Good luck.
If you want to find a shiny patch, you'll still have to chain to 40 and reset the radar over and over again until you find the shiny patch. If you're lucky, you'll find a random one before you reach a chain of 40, but in most cases you'll have to do some poke radar resets.
I was just suggesting to mariosuperuni that he/she should pick the sparkling patches because it's easier to see when chaining in the sandstorm.
Because I like to challenge myself and this was actually the last thing on my goal to film a shiny patch in all weather conditions and backgrounds. Geodude appeared and I decided to chain it and I was successful. Sure I could go north of oreburge city (route 207), but I'd only be chaining a pokemon that I already have.
you probably walked out of range, it happens, also if you're on the edge of the grass don't reset there because it can also break your chain by saying "the grassy area grew silent" or something like that
Yeah, TheGuyWholsSitting is correct. You must have walked too far from the moving patch closest to you. Make sure that you see at least one of the moving patch that previously moved, when resetting the radar.
Because this is a used pearl version that I bought because my diamond game ran out of room. I didn't want to restart the game because I wanted to chain right away and use it for storage. That's why it still has the old trainer's name.
Thanks for the rating and for congratulating on filming a shiny patch in all weather conditions. I think you are one of the first to notice that. It's difficult enough resetting through the DS screen, but looking through a 2 inch view finder on my digital camera made it that much harder.
Sorry to hear about your bidoof chain breaking. That's happened to me a bunch of time, specially 39 and 40. I wish you lots of luck on all of your future chains.
hey i have a question how come whenever i chain i always piska grass patch 4 spots away but it still breaks my chain the grass patch isnt on the edge and it looks the same as the first patch i pick
4 patches away, means it needs to be the furthest away on the fourth ring of grass around your character, while following the other rules that you mentioned. Keep in mind that your chain can also randomly break for no reason and is not your fault. 444444444 433333334 432222234 432111234 4321U1234 432111234 432222234 433333334 444444444 U = your character 4 = good patches of grass 1,2,3 = bad patches of grass (don't pick any of these) Let me know how things turn out.
Actually, after chain 40 the odds don't get any better. That's why I stop at chain 40 to find the first shiny and only advance the chain once I've caught all that I wanted.
Yeah, you are correct. That's what I said. The reason why I went to 63 is because I already caught all of the shiny pokemon I wanted, one at chain 40-46. After that, I kept on chaining in hopes of beating my 3 highest chains or whenever my chain breaks.
nice ... i cought me a shiny gravler.. h/e u spell it.. just onli after a chain of 2.. and i was soooo happy cuz it was ma first shiny and my first atempt of trying to get a shiny pokemon
No, a shiny patch can actually appear at any chain. The closer you get to 40 the better your odds of finding one will be. I use to reset the radar at chain 30, but I ended up on using more repels and it took longer for the shiny patch to appear.
You can also find shiny pokemon thru random encounters in the wild, breeding pokemon and doing soft resets in front of a legendary, but the odds of finding one with the above methods are 1 in 8192. When resetting the radar at chain 40 the odds are roughly 1 in 200.
Sorry to hear that, I wish you better luck next time you encounter a random shiny. On my Leaf Green game, I found my 4th random shiny, it was a geodude in the seventh island. I didn't want risking not catching and it using explosion so I just threw my only master ball at it. I walked around in the grass for 40 hours or more and encounter that shiny. The odds of finding another would be 1 in 8192, probably another 20-40 hours or so of random battles in the wild.
Even though sometimes it might be hard, because some Pokemon don't appear at night. It depends on what your selected Pokemon is. If you for example want a Shiny Murkrow, then you're in luck.
But if you want like a Ledyby (or w/e its called), then you need to chain in the morning.
Do you mean if I have seen all of those videos you made with shiny patches in those weather conditions? If that's what you mean, then yes, I've seen them.

About how many repels do you go through while resetting the radar after 40?
t0fuNinja 3 years ago
On average about 10-30 super repels, but sometimes it can take less than 10 or over a hundred.
Z33 3 years ago
I tried it in a sandstorm once for Trapinch and I just couldn't do it! I may have been trying on my old DS though. It was too hard!

Why chain geodude in the rain? when you can just go north of oreburge and get a bigger patch with 50% appearance?

Because I like to challenge myself and this was actually the last thing on my goal to film a shiny patch in all weather conditions and backgrounds. How do you even chain in weather. I can only chain in the falling ash spot.
jbtenseventeen 3 years ago
When chaining in any weather condition, start chaining as early in the day as possible. Visibility at night gets progressively worst.
Z33 3 years ago
Yea, but its good to chain at night when there is no weather conditions and its like on areas such as north of Oreburgh City.
Because its soo much easier to see patches shine and stuff there during night and in morning.
