  • I just love the people saying they remember this tune from the 90s. You don't, you've just been fooled into believing you do.

Still, decent tune. But Day V Lately is actually an actor called Matthew Jure. Google it if you still don't believe.

  • Come on people just google day v lately and you will see it's a spoof! If you're old enough to "remember" this in your raving days of the 1990s then you will also remember the "fly fishing by J. R Heartly" Yellow Pages advert. It too was a spoof however some canny chap decided to release a book to cash in on the advert. The same thing has happened here. You may think it's a great tune but it's not from your days as a raver!

  • No ones met the cunt hes fictional...This song was made this year for the advert..its called a commercial stunt u pricks...google day v lately daily record if u dont believe me u idiotic fuckers lying about havin met the bloke...oh and his official site...is a spoof thats why it claims to be made in 1997 and that theirs a fucking itunes link on the site :/

  • oh alright day v lately hows it going

  • 'YOU DO? FANTASTIC! Well, can you keep it for me?'

  • Remember this one back in the day, warehouse raves, dayglo and poppers all round.

Started having it large in 1991 so remeber this coming out big time.

Even met Day v once in 95 i think it was -- nice one Day v!!!!!!!!

  • I did quite a lot of fly fishing when I was a teenager, but my arthritis means I have trouble with the zippers nowadays.

  • dudes you woulda guessed its real coz of the label its on... c'mon i mean "found records" isnt even real

  • the beginning is the best part

  • This Tunes OK but you see how much its selling for £400??? WTF!!!!!!

  • This is awful.

  • This is shit. It sounds like a MIDI file with half the channels turned off.

  • @trimmytrab my dad sells his own records and buys them back years later for cheap. got the money, spent it well, 5 years later got the record for half he was given for it

  • @foxyelz no why should i , everybody is entitled to there own opinions so shut the fuck up !!!!!

  • You can tell it's not from 1992 because it's easy to mix out of.

    If you're a DJ you'll know what I mean.

  • I couldn't give a fuckwhere its from... its a decent tune.

  • ITS THE YELL ADVERT SONG

  • This is a real song from the early 90s. bet royalties were pretty limp untill the Yell got hold of it.

  • wikipedia the name. this is all an add campaign

  • soon as I heard this i fell in love with the tune great stuff. The older music in my belief is usually better as likes this will still be around on the dance floor for many happy more dancing years to come

  • @westham4eva This isn't his song. What he's saying is if he made a track, then lost it, he'd come on youtube to find it.

  • @foxyelz Make me shutup you idiot , that is why you can comment to a video , duhhhh get that into your fat thick stupid head !!!

  • im really fucking confused, there's people saying its actually from 1992 and others saying it was made in 2011 just for the advert. the guy in the advert is an actor, matthew jure. all i know is if this was made by you in 1992 and yell have nicked it and are making a mint from it you'd be pretty fucked off !

  • thumps up of u found this from the advert

  • shocking song, sounds like it was made by a 4 year old on an iphone app.

  • @ginaharper do you have ears and are you possible gay

  • @ginaharper Tbf it was made in 1992 and trance songs back then were pretty simple like this anyway

  • @DayVLately You are king.

  • @DayVLately big tune

  • Hey people this actor is Day v lately and this is a real tune because i have found it on itunes. And i also don't think that yellow pages made this tune just for the ad. Also there are are lot of tracks that slipped through the net in the 90's cos mc hammer and vinnila ice was taking up all the attention...lol

  • Clam down people it's just an advert gosh! Haven't you heard of acting? You take things way to serious, some of you people on here.

  • j r hartley is his dad i think lol

  • OMG PEOPLE its an advert and it consists of acting....gosh

  • This tune is sick, day v lately to get to number 1 lol

  • lol as if he wouldnt have a couple of copies stashed away toss pot!!

  • Hahahahaha, everyone saying, "the good old days," "remember being off my head listening to this" why???, lying to a bunch of people the don't know and will never meet, THIS SONG IS BRAND NEW AND WAS MADE FOR THE YELL AD!!! haha,

  • WHY IS EVERY1 sayin things like... No wonder u lost it, it's shit, and ur a nob for losing ur own song, for 1: there's no such man as day v lately, he's an actor, and for 2: the track ain't really from 92 it was made to sound that way but it's been made in 2011 for the yell ad, it's mad how ppl think that the box in your living room is showing you what's going on in ppls lives as it happens. Ha

  • @lloydybeatz Matthew Jure is the actor who plays day v lately

  • @lloydybeatz ask ur dad ur probably 10 or something. this was a trance tune from the early 90's and it got re-released like infinity by guru josh did

  • @MrDudeboy2009 I suppose you also think J R Hartley is real

  • @shiftybarker oh he is!

  • @shiftybarker what, i have his book on fly fishing. honest. it is crap.

  • @MrDudeboy2009 haha, ok ok, naa i'm 23, and fair doo's you told me dude, i should have heard of it, it was all a big thing for the ad tho, but i'm the dick now after that rant on me comment ^ haha oh well

  • @lloydybeatz 18 other people believed u tho, u r derren brown's cousin! every1 believes u!!

  • @lloydybeatz well ur a dickhead ant ya

  • @thelawrie123 Aww Please don't bully me over youtube, Your written words can really hurt, I mean, I read that & thought to myself "Oh My God, I AM A Dickhead!" Because the cheap opinions of the ones you will never meet, you know, the really tiny specs in the universe of single, qwerty addicts who thrive off the little giggle they get after writing a "naughty little word" on a social internet medium, see they're the ones you should really listen to, they will live with you forever. I'm So Broken.

  • @dairat27 id rather get raped by fritzl again than listen to this the first time

  • i like it, didnt expect it to be this good

  • Sweet music...... Drifting Along in your Car.... great sound...

  • your a knob if you loose a copy, let alone the original dish of your OWN song!

  • Tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Maybe if Day v Lately didn't spend his youth popping e's he may have remembered where his record collection was...maybe he had to sell them to pay his dealer?

  • @THEGLOAMING78 How do you know he spent his youth popping e's?

  • @THEGLOAMING78

"Popping Es"? I do not mean to sound stupid, but does that mean "ingesting excity for the high gained"?

  • Give the man some credit.well done day v

  • i really dont get why so many people seem to be hating on this song in the comments below. classic old skool tune. if u dont like, dont listen

  • what a whack tune, this is why no one had heard of you. u happened to call ur one nobhead of a fan at yell.

  • watch-n paint dry is better!

  • whens this record gonna start....5.26 intro or what!

  • I prefer J. R. Hartley

  • omg no bloody wonder he lost it. cant say its all that great

  • and its rubbish

  • @TheSarashepp obviously you dont like house

  • @timmytimmyo i dont mind any type of music but come on face it.... if this was any good then we wouldnt need to come on here to find out what "day v lately" is all about.

  • @TheSarashepp ok but this is house music, how many people remember good house tracks? (apart from people that are into house) People only remember mainstream music, house was never really that mainstream.

  • @timmytimmyo House was never really that mainstream? House music has delivered massive commercial hits from the late 80's up to the present day. Okay more recently you could say that r&b / hip hop has taken over commercially but it's not that accurate to say that only people that are into House actually remember House tracks.

I'd think anyone who kept half an ear to the radio in the past 10-20 years regardless of their musical preference would recognize tracks by Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx, etc.

  • @Jarren202 If you werent going to the hacienda or similar places around that time, you would never hear 90% of the big house tunes, there was just too many to be commercialised. Only people that were actively into house music would hear these tracks. Yes you would hear some big house tracks on the radio, but you would never hear the tracks that were played in the clubs that had been made in somebodys bedroom, the hidden gems that never got released commercially.

  • @timmytimmyo Oh of course, I fully agree with you there. Not many people will know 4 For Money - It's A Moment In Time or Wood Allen - Airport '89.

It's just that you said (and I quote) "People only remeber mainstream music, house was never really that mainstream".

You can see how I assumed you placed all of house music as this underground, out of reach phenomenon.

  • ha ha yeah checked this out cos of yell ad :)

  • Shite

  • Stupid fuckwit

  • I can hear pulse but where is thunder? Anyway what a rubish 'music'! The poor guy is so untalented. Hope he is doing something else now.

  • now ive listened to it i can see how he lost it. fucking crap

  • @tgz11 you can do better? thought not

  • @rsmvomfg Yes actually, I just farted, which is a better sound than 5:26 of this.

  • @tgz11 meh, you win this one ._.

  • why dident he just go on itunes :L

  • My favourite advet I love him listen to his outer stuff

  • ...

  • I knew it was fake ... I mean whose teenager would actually offer to make a cup of tea...?

  • @Pacheco591

That's why the label is called found records. It's ALL made up, fictional, for Yell. Look into JR Hartley and you'll see they did the same with him. Day V Lately is NOT real.

  • @deletedtarget I'm more inclined ti believe he's an actual guy who probably got only one original song out.

    I found a webpage: dayvlately[dot]com

Warning: 1996 site so it's in Web 1-point-crap.

  • @MattTheSpratt

And when was this website registered? 2010 (f you're going to research, do it properly). I'll give a reward to anybody who can find any reference to the guy or this song pre-2010. (tip: you won't, it's impossible)

  • i remember this song when i was outta my head on acid, the good old days.

  • @dazza232

Considering it's a new song, I take it those days aren't long ago.

  • The good old days!!

  • @Caveej a complete knob!!

  • @MrChilledbob lol

  • sad as it is, I am one of those people lol

  • my mum and i think the yell advert is awesome=D

  • Christ people stop getting so worked up, IT'S AN ADVERT! I like the track but others may not. IT'S AN ADVERT so I doubt very much he ACTUALLY lost his own track (dickhead) and did I forget to mention, IT'S AN ADVERT! Take a pill and stop getting so worked up you muppets.

  • Not surprised most record shops didn't have it; it's a heap of crap - best thing to do with the 12" vinyl would be to make an ashtray !

  • he really should have planned his uncatchy name around situations like this. justin bieber would never make such a mistake ...

  • Top Tune,Top Advert. Cheers.

  • He's following me on twitter!

  • It's a shame that jr hartley is in jail for giving that seven year old boy werthers originals laced with rohypnol. He was a much better actor that that dopehead.

  • The best part is at 5:25 because it finishes x

  • @pippanpoppycat Shut up you fucking troll

  • when was this made

  • yawn, no wonder he couldn't find it anywhere

  • Pulse & Thunder by JR Hartley!.

  • Yes he could have come on here. Maybe he wanted something physical though. Hair splitting is all well and good......

  • Thumbs up if you came here because of the Yell advert.

  • Do people realise that the Yell.com advert is actually a remake of the timeless 'J. R. Hartley' Yellow Pages ad? ...or am I just getting old?

  • @voodoodanny No shit sherlock and yes!!

  • This song is all pulse and no thunder... The first 45 seconds might as well be in silence!

  • a wonder how many dicks day v had to suck to get that advert up

  • Surely he'd have the dubplate?

  • Well he couldn't really use Youtube, I imagine he specifically wanted it on vinyl for whatever reason :)

  • i only searched this up because of the yell.com advert and i bet so has 3/4 of the viewers have too plus its a pretty rubbish song thank god i wasnt around when this song was phew

  • What kind of dickhead loses their own song?

  • @SacLeDan

god knows lol its a advert aint it lol

  • @SacLeDan great comment!

  • @SacLeDan .....lol too funny!!!!

  • @SacLeDan LOL!!!!

  • @SacLeDan the kind of dickhead that sells there records for money then gets a job and gets the records back cos he has the money to buy them. and as well he might not be selfish. he would have kept some of the best tracks.

  • @SacLeDan

    LOL! My thoughts exactly.

I personally preferred Flyfishing by J.R.Heartley!

  • @SacLeDan What kind of dickhead puts shit songs like this out in the first place. Day v lately I will stab you.

  • @SacLeDan me, i made a really good mash up of my most favourite songs on windows movie maker, then had to whipe my harddrive lol lost it forever i'm really craving a good listen to it too

  • @SacLeDan AHAHahahahahahahaha i enjoyed that thoroughly
