I have been doing something similar for my paraplegic kitty, but your video gave me ideas to improve. It also made me happy to read the comments and see that there are more people out there caring for disabled animals.
@willrulz11 some animals have bladder problems where they cant control when they go to the poddy lol they just go. So the dipers help. The reson I like to used them is for my girl dog for her time of the month so that when she walks around theres not stuff dripping every where.. its gross lol
Thank you so much for posting this video! Serenity mostly wears diapers when she's sleeping (she's pees in her sleep) but I have always struggled with the "leakage" problem. For some reason, it never occurred to me to use some tape. Also, your cutting method looks cleaner and more efficient than the way I've been doing it. Keep up the good work!
We recently adopted a kitten with the same condition as Alera. It gives us great comfort and inspiration to witness Alera's progress. I have tried the pet diapers and have found your modified diaper superior. Apart from the monetary savings, your idea also provides a better seal and fits more snuggly around the waist. Don't pay any attention to the ignorant comments. Some of those comments do not deserve your attention. You are doing us a service by teaching us. Thank you.

First of all, the word "pet" is in no way derogatory. Secondly, do not give me that soul crap. If you have enough money to buy diapers, do not tell me that you can't pick up cat litter. I have many physically disabled cats (amputee, broken leg, broken arm, etc). The point is that it is extremely uncomfortable for them, and simply getting more litter boxes should not be a problem if you are going to blow your superfluous cash on diapers. This "conversation" is over.
First of all. You do not understand. Please explain to me how Alera will be able to climb up the potty tray?
Soul crap? Every living entities have soul. You are just a confuse man. Is it uncomfortable? Is that your speculation? It support them as a cushion instead of rubbing the genital on the floor. Tell me how is that uncomfortable? If is would been uncomfy, Alera would have tear it apart by his mouth same as Papi. Before judging, I strongly urge you to understand the situation.
My handicapped cat does not like to use the litter box. She slides around in the litter, gets litter particles all over her, and often soggy litter because she can't support herself upright when peeing. She used to use the litter box, and then stopped, because it was uncomfortable and made a mess of her. She also pees in her sleep, and if she's not in a diaper, she wakes up to a wet, soggy mess every nap. The diaper keeps her clean and dry, and she is able to sleep without waking up in a puddle.
You don't have raise your voice. I have a good eye and I can read small caps. You do not understand the situation. Speculating will just make a fool out of yourself. I think most viewers here agree.

In all honesty, I was simply responding to comments like "its a good and practical way of saving money." Quite frankly, I can't stand people who are stingy in providing their pets with the best care possible. I have 28 cats and would do nothing but the best for them regardless of the price. No hostility meant.
When you don't have enough money, you have to do what it takes to save money. I can't rob the bank so this is the best solution in my region. Is that a problem to you? This is a video meant for the people like me who has no money.
What you are saying that poor people is not qualified to help? How arrogant. First of all. They are not pets. They are living entities and they are all living soul that happened to cross my path.
Quite frankly, I think 28 cats, including as many disabled cats as you claim to care for, is irresponsible and borders on hoarding. Before you start lambasting people providing quality care for their disabled animals, maybe you should consider how much quality time you can even give to 28 animals, including animals with disabilities. Assuming you bother to give each cat at least 10 minutes of personal care and attention a day, that's nearly 5 hours you'd have to spend with your animals. Do you?
It all depends, if budget is not a problem then pet diapers maybe is right choice. However in Malaysia, the pet diapers are VERY expensive since no one will ever buy them and they do not usually hold urine much.
Well done! Clearly demonstrated, and well-edited, too!
You were very kind to make this video =^..^= Thank you!

don't know if anyone wrote on this , but you should use an other kind of tape, 'cause masking does not take well to water.
red house wrapping tape (Typar HouseWrap)or medical tape...

For the love of decency, DON'T PUT A CAT OR DOG IN DIAPERS JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE TOO DAMN LAZY TO BUY LITTER OR GO FOR A WALK. PATHETIC!!!

To be perfectly honest, if you do not have adequate financial means, do not get a pet...

That is a very smart way of saving yourself money and it is practical as well, since it holds more urine! =)
