You know how all the characters have something about them that could be saddening or maddening or just make them go all grrr faced. He's just simple....he likes his cheese slices, and he likes to wear them.

@MoonyMara The cheese man was the only thing that Joss Whedon decided to put in the episode that was just for random fun xD Everything else was symbolic in some way and foreshadowed events in future episodes.

@MoonyMara there's also a bit in season 4 when Riley's asking Willow how to ask out buffy (I DON'T like Riley) and Willow's like 'she likes cheese. I'm not saying it's the key to her heart, but, Buffy? She likes Cheese.' Or something like that :)
