When I think of a Les Paul going through a vintage Deluxe Reverb...I think of Dan! Awesome tones and playing. I've just watched this one 3 times in a row!
would you suggest using a THD hot plate with one of these to crank the input for tube saturation while keeping the overall level down so the neighbors won't complain?
I love both your axe and amp- and you play well too. Why a fender with a honkin' LP like yours though? I see a small Marshall or AC- 30 hummin with that LP- BTW- gas prices are pushing instrument prices up 10-20% a month- there is a Warren Haynes 58 LP RI they won't put a price on it- Dave Grohl's DG335 is going up and it's not a limited edition=oy vay
I looked some more and felt pretty dumb- you have serious gear. I have G>A>S> Gear acquisition syndrome 42 guitars, a pedalsteel, banjo, 3 mandolins, harps irish tin whistles, 3 fender amps, crate and mrshall amps and a peavey 200 watt evil twin clone. my talent has been backordered for a long time.
Great video, you sound great! For the bluesy, slightly overdriven sound you get (like the texas flood riffs), are you overdriving the DR with a boost pedal, an overdrive pedal, or is that just the DR turned up?
Sounding extra fine...now, that tone......How much is you...how much guitar...and how much is amp.. Be Honest. It sounds so friggen' good. How much are the old Deluxe's going for these days? Thanks for sharing.
Personally, I like to keep the original safely tucked away so that if I ever have to sell, then I can sell with the original speaker. But, that's just me...also, I don't like the original Oxfords...if it is a Jensen, then I'd use it. Just don't blow the darn thing!!
Years later this is one of my favorite videos on the Tube! Just wonderful! Best, T

You're giving me GAS for a vintage Fender. It's bad enough I want a 70ish JMP.
Great video bro!
