  • If only you had your car on.

NO! That's just mean, I really enjoyed that. Thank you :)

  • The Beginning sounds so much like California Gurls! :D

    AWESOME! :')

  • You guys snapped with the balls and all but I think I speak for real musicians everywhere to say that that marimba was raped by her music. No offense to you two though, you did really well

  • boss

  • are those bouncy balls?

  • WOAH! You guys are really good! I have watched all your videos and I love them! I am very inspired by you guys, because I play the marimba too! Its really fun :) and I hope someday I can do something on it like play through the fire and the flames like you guys did. Keep making videos! You guys are so awesome and you make I great team! I love you guys! ;D

  • Is that bad for the marimba at all? I'm trying to plan a fundraiser for my High school's winter drum line and we are going to play at a few different places and ask for donations. but I'm trying to think of something that is going to really catch everyone's attention. But i don't want to go to my director and be like 2 words ...BOUNCY BALLS! and him just shoot me down because it will mess up the marimba.

  • @analysiaa it shouldn't be a problem as long as the bouncy balls are not too hard or heavy. it takes awhile to find the right ones, since the smallest ones are too light and don't make a noise, and the bigger ones can be too heavy and won't bounce back for you to catch. stacy has a big basket full of bouncy balls because we just kept accumulating them while trying to find ones that worked.

hope this was helpful! good luck with the fundraiser!

  • how. the. fuck.

  • this is amazing! how did you guys learn how to do that? I've spent a solid hour trying with my marimba and all that I accomplished was getting a couple of bouncy balls stuck in the resonators... :)

  • @sheen1622 we've been trying it every once in awhile since high school (i graduated 03, stacy 04). we toy with it a few times and it usually never works, but we finally found the right bouncy balls and then it suddenly worked. :-)

  • that poor marimba

  • That was amazing considering that you were using bouncy balls.

  • I showed this video to my cousin and he brought bounce balls to school and did the same thing, thoroughly pissing off his music teacher (after she told him he did an amazing job playing the song XD)

  • thumbs up (the video) for random dog!!!

  • You guys have some good talent. You all take me back to my high school drumline days!!! where did you get the bouncy ball idea the tone coming from that is incredible!

  • @RDLSnare we actually used to mess around with the idea when we were in high school, but never actually made anything happen with it. it's incredibly difficult to play anything relatively fast, because the bars have too much give, so the balls don't bounce very high. you should see the collection of bouncy balls stacy has, and we have tried them all on the marimba!

  • you guys are AAAMAZING i play percussion in my school and i wouls love to hae the skills that you guys have for the marimba...... do you have any tips on what you practiced the most or something...

  • i loved the part where they dropped the tennis balls at the end, and they start laughing at themselves.

  • when???? you guys should totaly do this as an act.

  • thats interesting. i wish they had an act like this on americas got talent

  • @halloween23 funny enough, we actually did try out for AGT! not with bouncy balls, but we tried out nonetheless. :-)

  • there is a dog that runs by julie's foot and a first i thought it was a toy lol

  • This video made me lol so much.

  • @ReeviaEruo since julie hasn't answered this one yet, i [and/bud] will! they got the idea in high school messing around one day because stacy had some really big bouncy balls. the first song they learned with the bouncy balls was 'kiss the girl' from the little mermaid soundtrack, but they've yet to perfect the art. ;-D

  • @fecklessman oh lol fail julie answered it already. i'm lame and youtube comment section sucks and cuts off my smiley faces. /wrath

great praise and greetings from Germany ;)

  • we've been toying with the idea since around high school, but we finally got around to taking it seriously (i know, taking playing marimba with bouncy balls seriously sounds odd...) and figuring out a good technique recently. -julie

  • that was so cool! looks like fun! :P =

  • I would also like to see a medley with this :D

  • i would love to see a complete cover to the song, it's really beautiful harmonically when taken out of the mainstream pop context and interpreted on the marimba. Thanks for this.

  • i think the chorus and bridge have potential, but unfortunately the verses are mostly talking rather than singing. we could definitely use the good parts in a medley though!

  • thats awsome!

  • that's awesome!

  • Whoever suggested 1901 is my hero. Also, the animal running by was adorable.

  • thats soo cool!

  • the blond is a cutie. but i liked it it was cool

  • you guys have some reall talent i love just doing that by ear with songs except i play it on trumpet or saxophone or wat ever instrument i have infront of me. But do you play in a college band or something? if you dont you should!

  • all three of us played in high school band and drumline, and i [julie] was a member of esperanza drum and bugle corps for 4 years. :-D

  • @stacyandjulie go marching band! and band!

  • That was amazing! was it hard?

  • actually it was pretty easy to figure out the notes, but playing with bouncy balls is really hard!

  • awesome^^

  • Yay. Loves you!!! You rule.

  • nice !

  • :10 Yorkie! Umm, I think that's what I saw in the bottom right hand corner. Correct me if I'm wrong, it ran by so fast.

Other than that, it's an even more awesome way to play the Marimba! Yay!

  • it sure is a yorkie! he is stacy's dog and his name is brodie!

  • Ha very cool guys.

Now I think its time you did a remake of your Through the Fire and Flames video, only this time you need to do it with the bouncy balls.

  • that would be FANTASTIC.

we actually are going to re-record that video with higher quality sound (and actual drums), as well as adding some of the solos in the song.

  • sooooo coool!!!!!!!!!!! that is awswome
