If you watch his hands here, he actually has his hands in a left handed position before the ball is even played. I think this shot needs to stay in the game, but the rules need clarifying.

Batsmen will have to declare themselves as RH or LH, then if they swap in the middle of a ball, the original rule should still apply.

Sounds an obvious solution, but at the moment - as clear and simple as it sounds - it is not covered in the laws of cricket.
