  • Look at the Takao, pushing through that water like a boss.

  • I would never understand why did not Japanese invade hawai and USA after pearl harbor.

  • @03nj failure to locate and destroy the US Navy aircraft carriers dude.

  • @fluffy1931

Few aircraft carriers wouldn't stop entire invasion fleet, Japanese had carriers of their own plus battleships and crusiers in 1941 and 1942 they heavily outnumbered US navy in Pacific, but instead of invading USA they went for Philipines, Indonesia, Guinea and small islands in pacific

  • @03nj I don't think it was possible for any army at the time to invade and conquer the US. Man, if only the US joined up the Axis powers.

  • @03nj if the japanese sent a third wave to bomb pearl harbour and take out the oil stocksthen USA (united shit of asses) would be ashes now.

  • @03nj ..,a few US Navy aircraft carriers stopped a Japanese Invasion fleet at Midway btwn 4-7 June 1942' and pwnd ( decisively defeated ) a superior japanese force of aircraft carriers & battleships, crusiers etc.

  • Great music, sounds like Reichslieders.

  • @sohoxiang lol chinese and "admiring" Japan's military. They owned you, too hard.

  • @JapanHokkaidoBoy TRUTH ABOUT JAPAN:

    1) Don’t buy Japan’s cancer causing radiation polluted products, especially food. The Japanese government lied about the safety of their exported food products.

  • *Something in Japanese*

Ken I haz thumps ups, nao?

  • This march was recorded in 1910.

  • @dentosen none of the ships in this vid were launched in 1910, most were launched in the 1930s...

  • @ImperialGuard322nd Actually, there was, in 1911 to be exact. The Kongo-class battlecruisers (which were later fast battleships) that comprised of Kongo, Hiei, Kirishim and Haruna. Sadly, both Hiei and Kirishima died in Guadalcanal, while Kongo was sunk close to S'pore, and finally, Haruna as a watery grave in the Tokyo Bay, until she was refloated and scrapped.

  • @ThreeSevenSpeedway yes, as well as all of the other Battleships were within the next decade, but the destroyers and cruisers were completed mostly in the 1930s. though the Kongo her self was not launched until May 1912, she was laid down in 1911. Also, I don't think that there was a Kongo class ship in this vid. I saw mainly Nagato Class, and tentitively an Ise Class ship, though I could have been wrong.

  • @dentosen just realized that I miss-read your comment, sorry about that...

  • What a great navy. Sadly it thought it could beat the glorious United States Navy, the only one who was mightier than she was.

  • love the authentic music.....recording from WW2 ?

  • HAHAHAHAHA wait till the Japanese, they will launch the Space Battleship Yamato

  • banzai

  • LOL

All the Japs in this video and all of their overrated giant scrap metal tub boats such as YAMATO became nothing but target practice and were sent to hell and the bottom of the Pacific Ocean respectfully.

~Before we're through with 'em, the Japanese language will be the only one spoken in hell.~ Admiral Hasley

    >B - ME SO SOLLY!

  • the japanese had so much excellent equipment, it's too bad their tactics weren't as modern

  • For some reason, World War II Japanese ships are the only ships I am interested in.

  • @B17EFlyingFortress You should take up deep sea diving. You'll be able to see the wrecks lying on the bottom of the ocean....

  • @MrMike3865 Can you dive in Leyte Gulf? My favorite ship is there, and I'm Filipino, too...

  • @trent8002003

Probably because it hit the trailing wave of

    the cruiser filming it.

  • The first carrier was actually French, built in 1911. Planes could only take off from it, not land, so it carried floatplanes which were lifted back onto the deck by crane.

  • From these footages, Jap cruisers seem to be very wet up front. The sea looks calm and yet they ship so much water.

  • Most of these ships were sunk by the Americans by August 1945.

  • @lycfmtkl actually i think all of them were

  • toyota recall problem is not the defects, but that they have too too many cars lol

  • See that is the difference between Japan and Korea

When Japan finds a fault in itself such as the Toyota incident Japan takes full responsibility

Korea on the other hand denies any wrong doing even with overwhelming evidence, and only capitulates to force and evidence

Take the Korean stem cell researcher who claimed to have cloned a human cell, in which all his research was fabricated

the Korean only admitted the LIE when he was REAL scientist discovered it, he still denied faking reasearch

  • the japanese were going to waste the yamato

she was to kamakazie into a large fleet of american ships but before she could hit 1 ship

    she was sunk

  • the first carriers were british you stupid biased american fuck

  • The first person to launch a plane from a ship was Eugene Ely an AMERICAN on the USS Birmingham. He was also the first person to land a plane which he did on the USS Pennsylvania. But thanks for claiming our invention as your own you biased brit fuck.

  • First 'Flush Deck' aircraft carrier was HMS Argus. All preceding types featured small lanuching platforms attached to the top of turret housing or on the sterns. Now take a seat and calm down.

  • *launching

  • So what? It was Americans who first implemented the idea of naval based aircraft. Without that your HMS Argus would even exist.

  • *wouldn't

  • I honestly couldn't care less. The argument was over first 'Carrier', not 'Carrier concept'. Continue brawling if you wish but I won't continue.

  • Whatever. Nobody fucking asked you in the first place.

  • The first carrier was a japanese carrier, called the wakamiya in 1914.

  • Hell of allot better then SEAMAN SHIP! SEAMAN SHIP! FOR LOVE! rolfcopter

  • great music...I first heard it in the tv series from nbc called Victory at Sea, in 1952...:)

  • Japan is the country that made aircraft carrier's first and has the highest technology in making ships still in 2009...

Japan had 2/3 of the size and strengh of the navy's fire power compared with the toatal of US and UK's navy...

  • No the first carriers were American and the US also has a combined navy outweighing the next 13 combined. But Japan still had a great navy back in the day.

  • maybe now,but then prior to wwii japan had much much better navy but it was all failed in water because of codes,Usa knew every step they will make and had giant strategik adwantage.

  • The fucking brits invented the carrier.

  • No dude, the Brits invented the first carrier. Go look it up.

  • What the fuck are you on?

  • Yes, together in defeat!

  • Well dutch and Japanese have one of the longest trading relations with japan of all the western country's. It is a shame that Japan lost its naval might I am very fond of Naval warships.

  • For those who does not understand history, the images in this video might be funny. From december 1941 up to august 1942, the warships of the Japanese Imperial Navy (Rengo Kantai, or combined fleet) destroyed all the ships and fleets that the alied nations opposed to them. Names such as Nagumo, Tomonaga, Sakai, Yamamoto, Genda and Tanaka put fear in to the harts of men, from the shore of India up to the beaches of California. A huge sacrifice was still to be made to stop them.

  • i'm black and i still found that funny,

i don't oppose that opinion, saschaundloris, as long as u guys don't get all ambitious on us, the UN, again, i understand why germany went into war, as well as japan. ESPECIALLY germany, i STILL feel really bad that we made germany pay for WWI.... and this instilled WWII, so it all makes sense to me, and i understand your esteemed feeling of brotherhood w/ japan, but let's keep things peacefull from here on, ya kno?

  • i dare to to go to Compton or Inglewood and say that. Flaming on your keyboard doesn't hurt anybody, so nice try. Growing the balls to say what you just said to someone black person will prove something, as you would get fucked up, but then you'd still look stupid, so good luck with that.

  • hey fuckballs black peopel are the same as everybody else ''oh hes black he derserves to die'' the people who say that deserve to die.

its just a fucking skin coler(you im shit at spelling live with it) you could be green and you would still be the same as everyone else.

  • "Black people are the same as everybody else " ... this is a saying often used as an excuse for losers to be smart .

  • Faggots, get over it. The justifications and arguments over the pacific war have been exchanged countless times, and to be honest, arguing about it on youtube is an insult to the memory of all those who lost their lives in the conflict. Reading the title will enable you to see that the author did not intend for this to be an ego-driven debate, but a montage of the Imperial Navy with their March theme. Stay on topic or bugger off.

  • Hell yeah I do love this march!

You have lots of reasons to be proud.

  • excuse me, but isn't accomplishment which brings pride? Why do you distinguish between the two?

  • I am sorry, but what you so 'righteously' write contradicts a great deal with your nickname ;)

So I suggest you leave your daemons alone and they will do the same ;)

And by the way, Hirohito is dead some years now...

  • Whatever the purpose was, Japan was one of less than a handful of nations that managed to have modern naval fleets. Even now, many countries have navies that cannot even defeat the IJN in the Russo-Japanese War in 1905, never mind the one in 1941. I'm truely proud of the determination and technological achievements of our ancestors back then. Equally, I also have great respect to the USN of the time. They were truely impressive as our enemies.

  • Japanese gained a great triumph at the beginning, the only reason is there has an 'absence of gr8 power' in Pacific Asia.

    Most manpower and materials of Britain at that time was concentrated on NAZI Germany;

    Both USSR and US didn't bother Japan before 1944;

For example, according to information online, there were over 50 Aircraft Carriers been built for Royal Navy during 1938-1945, imagine if all those resource could concentrated on Japan, wt could bloody happen???

  • Dogy, please don't could Japanese nationalism with facts. It's just something else for them to deny. Germany was the greater threat and had to be taken down first. Japan posed no serious threat to the Soviets , as they had been stopped rather efficiently at Nomonhan in 1939.

  • Let's go back to December of 1941. The Dutch and French had both capitulated under German might by the time Japan began its conquest of their Asian colonies. The island nation of Britain was hanging on by a thread while under U - Boat and Luftwaffe raids. The Soviets were neutral with Japan and a non threat in Asia at the time. The Japanese were having difficulty pushing deeper into China against Communists and Nationalists. They wisely used guerilla warfare , hitting Japanese supply lines.

  • The US Democrats under FDR supplied plenty of weapons to the dictatorial and corrupt ROC, breaking every existing convention of warfare. After the war, it was revealed that many in the US Government were Soviet spies. At the end, Japan, which was democratic and had an elected parliament, lost the war, the Chinese dictatorship was replaced by something much worse, America lost many good people for no gains at all, and half of Korea is STILL a Stalinist hell hole.

  • Imperial Japan , which was not democratic from 1931 - 1945 , didn't follow the existing conventions of warfare. This allowed them to do as they wished with prisoners of war and civilians without consequence until their nation finally capitulated.

  • Japan was the world leader of freedom and racial equality. US, UK, France, and Holland were the world leaders of tyranny and oppression of the colored people. Even during WW2, e.g., in South Dakota of US, marriage between whites and colored was a felony with penalty up to 10 yrs in prison. The Allies did whatever they could to preserve racial discriminations. Burma, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, India showed eternal gratitude to Japan after they got independence.

  • you nuts

  • I always wonder, if both NAZI and US did not involve in the war, could Royal Nazy defeat Imperial Navy or not?!?! XD

  • IJN would easily destroy most RN ships they would go after. The RN is huge, with so many ships that they would have a large presence, hard to exterminate. But imo the lack of fleet carriers would be the most important. IJN BB's are superior to most older RN BB's. IJN heavy cruisers were the best in the world with their Long Lance torpedoes.

  • as far as i remeberd, RN did have some aircraft carriers at that time, approx 10 RN aircraft carriers were operating during WW2, bt none of them was in Pacific, :(

However, u are right 2 say that IJN got most advanced and large Carrier fleets at least at the beginning of war.

  • The British built several of the older Japanese battleships. The only batleships Japan built from 1941 through 1945 were the Yamato and Musashi. They could not match Britain's shipyards in production.

  • There is no 'if' in history, but there was skirmish between Imperial Navy and Royal Navy during WWII. You can look up the info about 'Indian Ocean raid' and 'Sinking of Prince of Wales and Repulse'. Also 'Battle of Tsushima may draw you attention. Please let me know your opinion, cheers.

  • Who cares about politics???? Or hate???? There are beautiful people in every country. Some of us just like ships (or tanks, or planes, or guns)--and the IJN had some fantastic warships in WW2. Atago-class cruisers were my favorite heavy cruisers of the whole war. Most dangerous. Very cool carriers and excellent planes/pilots prior to 1942. Taiho in '44 was first-rate, with updated/competetive planes, and with decently trained pilots, but short on experience. If IJN could only have had 15 Taihos

  • Greetings from Hungary! The Axis will never die!

  • Um.. I beg to differ, 63 years after the fact.

  • ROFL

  • we beat the axis nations. lol.

  • to late it already did...next time they should pick a person with a rank higher then a corporal...lol...lol...

  • Greetings to Japan from Croatia ;)

  • It is shame japan is in Asia. Should be in europe.

  • If japan is in Europe, we would be fucked outta of shit in WW2, :(

  • Doubt it. If japan was in Europe Geographically (which was not what I meant) then all of our forces could be concentrated on them all of America's could aswell, the USSR could of moved the Siberians in earlier etc...

  • America and Britain ahd a Germany Frist policy during Ww2, because they were the more significant threat. If it were Japan alone , the war wouldn't have lasted as long.

  • Siberia and Mongolia (which they sent forays into early on), and Japan would have less reason to go RAWR at Russia over the war between them that probably would have never happened.

Then, too, the Communists would have had less propaganda to use to stab the Nationalists in the back, given there would be no invasion of Manchuria. The Nationalists might actually have overtaken the Communists, purged them, and then gone in on the side of Germany as well, which would be REALLY interesting.

  • special greetings to Japan from Italy

  • Okay... so we should illimintate Japan to complete a war that is already over?

Italy, France, Germany, Bulgaria, Finland, Romania, Hungary, Greece, Sweden, Spain... ALL of those countries supported the Axis powers in some way. Should ALL of them be destroyed too.

There is slight paranoia about a war with China... if that paranoia became a true event... Japan would play a vital role.

Neither you or me can talk ill about Japan.

Neither of us are old enough to have even been there to see.

  • exactly tenchiuyo69,there is a lot of anti-japanese ppl on Youtube who say syupid things. Most of these are chinease and they are the same chinease who always calls western media bias.

  • Well... China has a lot backwards... but western media IS VERY BIASED...

    even westerners know this.

  • Greetings from Croatia, we fought together against enemy. God bless Germany, Japan and Croatia :)

  • Good movie!

I really LIKE that fantastic song!

  • Wow, lots of views of Tone, Chokai and Nagato class. Look at all that water going over the bows of Chokai, must have been that heavy bridge structure? Tone looks dry enough, amazing that the crew were still hanging their hammocks outside the bridge as splinter protection!

  • or rough weather

  • psudo interlectual studies don't mean claver clogs is right.

  • You don't understand what I mean.

Rest in peace, the greatest soul of honor.

    Nippon Banzai

  • This is the 3rd largest navy fleet in the world in 1941. 10 aircraft carriers, huge battleships and the largest subs against the average battleships of the Royal Navy and US Navy.

    1941:

    Japan- 10 Aircraft Carriers

    US- 7 Aircraft Carriers

    Britain- 8 Aircraft Carriers

And some of the coolest planes ive ever seen

  • One must remember that only 4 of those 10 were true fleet carriers (Akagi, Kaga, Shokaku, Zuikaku, Soryu, Hiryu), the rest were light or escort carriers.

The real advantage the IJNAF had was the incredible skill of its pilots prewar, and the highly advanced (compared to contemporaries) A6M Zero.
