  • I don't know where you are hunting, but to get a 155 class muley in western Montana on public land isn't the easiest thing to do. If you were on private land or a good special permit area, yes I would agree, but this is a good buck for most people on their general tag.

  • I'm pretty sure i wouldn't shit myself, i have seen some really nice bucks up north and eastern montana different areas have different genetics, and hunting pressure, good for you. you found yourself a good spot to hunt apparently. I've passed bucks this size and bigger, but i know a lot of hunters (that hunt a lot) that would be happy with it, so you don't have to go bashing on people that say its a good buck.

  • all i am trying to do is get people to stay the fuck out of MT. it sounds like you are from montana so im not real concerned about you but "outta-staters" piss me off. and you're right, a trophy animal is all in the eye of the beholder but i still think that a buck like that deserves another year of growth. if everyone passed on deer like that then there would be more monsters than you could shake your dick at!

  • You know what mister montana.. Your very right. but you see, even if people take imature bucks (wich this one is deffinatly not) there is still that monster learking in the shadows, sitting in that only bush in the whole sage brush flat or on that highest nastiest peak that no one will ever go to. You just got to hunt a little harder and spend a little more time in your bino's. Sinncerally...D Eastman, of eastmans hunting journal.

  • Ya, I like to hunt for trophy animals, but I also never buy meat at the sore. I like to cut up and eat my own animals, and with going to school and working, time to hunt is limited, and you might not be able to take a trophy every year.

and what's up with the eastmans thing? I have a subscription to both eastmans magazines and I have never heard of "D Eastman"

  • I am mikes Nephue, Im not famouse like my cousin Guy and them but i am working on that. i have been in 2 of there issues of eastmans bow hunting journal. I really dont take trophys every year either, i have to work my but off to make ends meet and still find time for my wife and bird dog. But thats an awsome buck you shot man cangrats.
