Americans are uninsured because they can't afford insurance, don't qualify for Medicaid/Healthchoice. Obamacare isn't free, they would access our accounts to debit out money. How would this be better? If you can not afford insurance, then why would you be able to afford your rent/food/gas money to be drafted out of your account. I think the man did his homework. He was angry about not being allowed to express his concerns and wanted to give Specter a piece of his mind before he left. At first I thought the "Judgement of God" remarks were off point and nonsensical. Americans are uninsured because they can't afford insurance, don't qualify for Medicaid/Healthchoice. Obamacare isn't free, they would access our accounts to debit out money. How would this be better? If you can not afford insurance, then why would you be able to afford your rent/food/gas money to be drafted out of your account. Also, the Privacy right violations are uncalled for in this bill. It gives the Government control of your health, your medical record, your bank account, your home.

I pretty much agree with Katy, save for the Republican label she uses on herself, as most Republicans and Democrats are douche bags following a leader. Being elected does not give Obama carte blanche to act irresponsibly or to violate our Constitution.
You also need to keep in mind that many of these who are opposing this voted for him. Many people who have been apathetic to politics for a long time have finally started to pay attention and aren't happy about this. Yes, it's a shame they weren't paying attention last year. Regardless, it's obvious that the American people do not want the govt mucking with their health care and DC cares not.

If you truly wanted to debate healthcare, then you wouldn't start by belittling someone else's legitimate concerns. She wasn't 'spewing crap'. A lot of what's in the current House version of the bill has little, if anything, to do with healthcare, insurance reform, or whatever moniker of the hour the backers of this bill like to use. Think the opposition is lying? Simple, read the House bill. Refute what's being said. That's called Debate. It's what we are entitled to as citizens. Kill HR3200.

People go to their offices, and are told 'We'll look into it'., while we all know they don't. Letters unanswered. People escorted out because of frustration of our nonrepresenting representatives completely ignoring the people. Politicians passing the buck over and over again becomes tedious to the point where people act this way.

Did he ask about potential cuts/shifts in medicare funding? Or prescription drug benefits? Or employer mandates, or the proposed healthcare exchange?
No, he ranted about God (I didn't realize the bible explicitly says universal healthcare is satanic and evil).

I think the man did his homework. He was angry about not being allowed to express his concerns and wanted to give Specter a piece of his mind before he left. At first I thought the "Judgement of God" remarks were off point and nonsensical. After re-watching, I realize that he wasn't talking about it being because of Specter's support of the bill, but with the tactics of deceit our "representatives" use.

I disagree that he could have learned anything from Specter. The people at these meetings are better informed than the Senators and Reps seem to be.

Your point is valid. People should have awoken to it a long time ago. We've been locked into this two-party, partisan, BS for a long time. Sometimes it takes a while for people to realize that the party they've supported is just as culpable as the one they opposed. D.C. has managed to keep us divided on issues that are secondary while they incrementally take our liberties. Large govt is good for no one but govt.

This is why our system was set up the way it was. The federal govt's authority is clearly defined and anything that falls outside of what is Constitutionally mandated is to be left to the states or the people. If people in Cali want single payer health care they can have it. Just don't try to impose it on the rest of us.

It hasn't been proposed in this bill but the bill paves the way for it. Obama, despite his attempt at revision today, does want single payer health care. He's on video saying it multiple times.
We don't need a "public option". There are reforms that need to be made but many of them are off the table with this administration. There is an agenda they want to implement and it's not our well-being.
It's true govt and corps don't have to go hand in hand, but large govt and corps always will.

You answered your own question. Are you ok with govt being the only health insurer to come out of this? They can't deliver on promises. Medicare-bankrupt, Social Security- bankrupt, VA, Post office, FEMA, etc. One taxpayer funded disaster after another.
I am one of the alleged 50 mil. I pay when I go to a doctor or I set up payment arrangements. If I could get something that worked for me I'd have Health Insurance. We already have medicaid for the poor. Where's the need for a public option?
