Living in new jersey near the edison factory ,everyone should atleast see it once and pay tribute to the man that gave the world his inventions and the things that we take for granted everyday!
Great stuff, I visited there years ago and hope to get back.
Just don't let Mr. Edison hear you calling his phonographs "Victrolas" :-) "Victrola" was the brand name of the Victor Talking Machine Company (later bought out by RCA), Edison's rival in sound recording and playback!
We are at a time in history 100 years down the the track where the excitement of Henry Ford and his Motor Car, Thomas Edison and his wonderful inventions that paved the development of the 20th Century has been reinstalled into the hearts and minds of those engaged in the development of
We used to live in Ft Myers. I have been in the Edison and Ford homes more times than I can count. I LOVE that place. I remember when edison's Laboratory burnt down in the late 70s. That was a drag. Is that one light bulb still burning?
Oh wow, that's pretty cool. I've been to the museum near you too. I lived in NJ for a while, Morris County, Roxbury Township. I like his Home in NJ better because of the Lab and his Office/Library. I was really impressed with the library most. Have a good one!
Well, howdy neighbor! Yes the tour was well worth it! If you are going to go though, go during the "off season" it's less crowded with tourists. This video was actually taken a few years ago when the houses were under renovation, so we didn't have full access to everything.

I live right down the street from the Edison/Ford homes. Never been inside of them though. Was the tour worth your time?
